Drove by over the holiday...berry berry nice. While not technically in the "nicest" side or part of town it is by the Farmers Market and other draws (outlet shopping malls etc.) so it will be interesting to see how it goes. The closet hotel looked cracked out and shitty however an exit down was a major road with many choices in hotels...my guess-timate $15-$30 cab fare. And no it is not in Dekalb... and here is a link

The license info for this club was posted earlier, and so was the fact it's not in Dekalb. hehe
I am SO gonna check this place out. Sometime soon after the beginning of the year.

Is it located in Fulton County? Are they still hiring waitresses?

Oy. Read? From page 1 of this very same thread:
Ok ladies, I just called around to ask about the permit situation. The club is in the city of Forest Park, GA. Waitresses/bartenders/etc have to have a $20 serving permit. Dancers need an $320 permit.
The permit lady's name is Debbie and she is so friendly; she said that the Pink Pony South will be setting up appointments to get all their girls fixed up with the permits and giving you the paperwork because it's such a big club.

I'd venture a bet that since they've postponed the opening day they are still hiring waitresses. How about calling the club - I bet you can find the number on the website posted twice above - and ASK them if they're hiring waitresses, and what's the procedure. Seems like the best way to find out eh?
And for the THIRD time in this page:

Are you kidding? OMG. What's the deal? I'd bet you that the city is trying to screw with Gallardi, denying him a liquor license or something, like passive aggressive vengeance towards local strip clubs. They let him build a multi-million dollar club - and I bet they're trying to make it a juice bar.

Covering for Tim @ Crazy Horse tonight I just got the word on Pony South. They are waiting on final inspections for permits, mainly fire code stuff. The club could be open as early as next week so keep your fingers crossed.

beautiful.

Awesome, please keep us posted Evan! Hubby and I will be in ATL for about 2 weeks and wanted to check it out as we'll be moving there relatively soon and I'd love to work there!

We're talking about it. My in-laws live there and I've been wanting to move to a big city. My mother in law is a daycare director as well and we were talking about buying a building and turning it into a daycare for her, just business ideas :) Probably won't be for until early 2009 or so!

One of the girls I dance with tried to get on to wait staff there and as of last week they had everyone they needed. Just thought I'd share.
Have no idea about openings for dancers though.

The club now has its liquor license (and all other permits). Opening any day now.
Readers Digest version (what I've heard so don't take it as gospel):
Here's where the hold-up started. Crazy Horse (Galardi's other club located in the same county) is set to renegotiate the lease with the landlord when it expires next September. The landlord has turned greedy and raised the rent to some ridiculous amount. Galardi told him no thanks opting to move the club next door to a vacant building with a sane lease rate. Well the landlord just so happens to be a partner in a law firm who subsequently filed every charge they could muster against Galardi and Clayton County in hopes of stopping him from moving Crazy Horse and as icing on the cake prevent the opening of the Pony South after Galardi has spent millions on the facility.
AJC story about the case (http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/clayton/stories/2008/02/01/pinkpony0203.html)
It turns out landlord/lawyer-guy didn't have a case and will now be losing his tenant when the lease is up in September. Crazy Horse will be moving next door to a building that is much bigger and will be much nicer after it's built out. Pink Pony South will be opening sometime this week or next.
Landlord seems to have shot himself in the foot now that he's losing a valuable tenant in a rather dead area of town already littered with empty buildings for rent.

Well, what I'm wondering about is the fact I would only be around a short time here and there. Maybe 1 week of every 4-6 weeks. I know at original Pony they don't particularly like that unless they already know you.

I'm in the same boat as Bridgette. I already have a full-time "9-5", so dancing is a verrrrrry part-time hobby. I don't know about any club in ATL that is lax like that about schedules... any help regarding scheduling rules from current ATL ladies? or opening dates about this PP? Thanks a lot :D :D

Forest Park Mayor Corine Deyton, City Manager John Parker and the Forest Park police department said they were unaware of the road blocks, but have had no problems with the Pink Pony.
"I know he is the highest law enforcement in the whole county, but we have our own police department here to take care of any problems," Deyton said. "I haven't heard of any problems over there. But it's an election year, what can I say?"
.................................................. ...
Clayton County Commission Chairman Eldrin Bell said he had received a complaint regarding the roadblock and referred it to the county attorney.
"It may result in a lawsuit," Bell said. "The lawsuits against him [the sheriff] are mounting and we're still paying counsel fees for all of them."
I like how the sherriff gets to run up lots of lawsuits (and the related bills) against the county for the sake of his re-election campaign ::) Typical bullshit.

Clayton Sheriff Hill hates Adult Businesses and uses these gestapo tactics to try and shut them down. He did the same thing to massage spas recently. However this will backfire as I believe the Pink Pony South and their Customers have a great case against Hill for Harrasment. I believe they will win the case and hopefully Hill will be thrown out of office. Notice the comments by Clayton Chairman Eldrin Bell and the Forrest Park Mayor and City Manager saying they had no problems with the club. They don't care for Sheriff Hill at all.

Hee... Bell certainly doesn't seem too thrilled...
As an aside, if anyone ends up here - pm please. Got hired last night. Dunno when I'm gonna end up working tho, as the club is arranging for appointments at permit office.

I talked to a girl from the PP Original last night. She said that she had worked a couple of days at PP South, but that it was really slow. I noticed that PP was slow last night. I was in from midnight until about 2 am being my dorky uncool self.

Well, I would imagine that the checkpoint issue on the news would deter people. I know that I try to avoid them at all costs.
Also - there weren't alot of girls when I was there. I would imagine that as girls get their licenses (and tell their regulars) things will change. My permit appointment isn't until Thursday next week - there's a lot of girls to funnel through that office.

Wow, I didn't realize its so hard to get a permit in the ATL metro area. I guess my gut is a natural deterrent for me. :)

So, if you have to "arrange an appointment" to get the license to work there, how would travelling girls manage? I'm still seriously interested, but I'm not gonna book a trip without knowing I can get in to work right away. Like, next day.
Fionaver
02-22-2008, 01:41 AM
Have absolutely no idea. They did ask if I was local, so I'm guessing that they have other girls in the same situation. I'm betting that once most of the girls get thru the office, appointments will clear up.

Updates on the situation here? Cops still running checkpoints? Business picked up?
Fionaver
03-18-2008, 12:22 AM
Business has picked up a bit, but tonight was a real miss (for me, at least). You really have to be able to sell VIPs in order to make decent money.
Haven't seen any checkpoints recently, but we leave after the parking lot is clear and breathalyse before we can get our keys back.
Overall I like the club and the support staff is great. Decent group of girls.
There's alot of potential and alot of money that walks through the door. Unfortunately, it seems like quite a bit is walking out with the customers.
A shuttle to and from the airport (which is in the works) ought to help, but it hasn't happened yet.

Yes. After they hire you, they arrange the appointment for the license. DON'T BE LATE! If you are, you have to go back to the club to make another appointment.

I went in there a couple of weeks ago, it's beautiful but kind of slow. It's on the southside of town so it doesn't get nearly as much business as the original. and the business they get is nowhere near the same quality. The southside of town is ehhhhh lame.

I started here on Tuesday and LOVED it. Not only is it beautiful and huge but I did really well for the swing shift. Going back for Fri/Sat night and I expect to make double. I really like the professionalism of the staff....seems rare to me.
