Is there any chat clients made to work with Linux that mirrors mIRC? Apparently mIRC doesn't work for Linux, and the SW chat hates me and refuses to work even when I install the missing plugins.

I don't run Linux but I came across this site. (http://www.mirc.co.uk/help/linux.html) It suggests running mIRC on Wine (http://www.winehq.org/).

I don't know mIRC, but the KDE-people claim that their irc client (ksirc) "has a lot of compatibility with mIrc for general use." ()

To start it, press alt+F2 in KDE and enter ksirc.

xchat or bitchx. better than mirc and linux/unix friendly.

lol mia fails again.

Xchat is decent but it's not better than mIRC, IMO. And fuck those damn gems. I want the world-accepted symbols for user modes(@,+,%)

bitchx is a terminal client and...[stuff i won't say]. Besides, it's merged back into EPIC now anyway, and EPIC has a more recent build, from Sept 2007 versus 1.1 for BX which came out in 2004

My vote is mirc via wine. That's what I do
