Totally off topic TM..But, I was always under the impression that Iranian and Persian were the same thing.. I'm I wrong?/:O

Eranian, i'm going to spell it like it is pronounced, something that annoys me
it is not I-Rack.. is that a new apple product ? it is Erauk not spelled right because that is how it is pronounced, it is not I-Ran where in the hell did I run?

Snip
Iran, (Persian: ايران, Īrān; pronounced [iːˈɾɒn]), officially the Islamic Republic of Iran (Persian: جمهوری اسلامی ايران, transliteration: Jomhūrī-ye Eslāmī-ye Īrān), formerly known internationally as Persia, is a Southwest Asian country located in the geographical territories of the Middle East, Southern Asia,[4], Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Shi'a Islam is the state religion and Persian the official language

Iran borders Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan to the north; Afghanistan and Pakistan to the east; and Turkey and Iraq to the west. In addition, it borders the Persian Gulf.

So in essence, like me, I am Italian and Dutch, he says Iranian and Persian because he could be Saudi, see above and old school Persia. But yes you
are correct being Iranian and Persian is the same thing unless you are mixed
with different Arab blood and that is my guess as to why he would say Iranian
and Persian.

Correct me if I am wrong but this is how I have learned this.
