Ok, questions:
What happens when you get there? Do you go straight to dancer housing? How much time do you get to unwind before working? What size sheets do I need? Is there a kitchen?

Is the 5-6 day work week awful? Would it be extremely helpful to spend some time getting in better shape and developing some stamina first?

Someone said that all the hotels have gyms. That's cool, and I'm fine with that if it's all there is, but are there pilates or yoga classes? And does anyone know of dance classes anywhere on the island?

I'm auditioning for a school in LA on 7/12. How do clubs feel about giving time off? Would I be better off waiting to go til after the audition? It would save me about 2k...

Does it matter when I go? Dude at Club USA keeps saying to hurry up and send pictures because he's doing his hiring May through June. But can I pretty much get a job any time?

If the club's accommodations suck big time, how difficult and expensive is it to find your own place?

Are ALL the beaches polluted?

Do you get payed nightly?

Are all the clubs nude?

Are there places that let you use your own music?

^^^

What happens when you get there? Do you go straight to dancer housing? How much time do you get to unwind before working? When I got picked up from the airport, they just dropped me off at housing (at like 5 am) and just basically said here's your keys, bye! So I didn't have any sheets or pillows (luckily my roommate washed some old sheets for me) and I didn't know when I was supposed to go in to work or anything, I had to call the manager twice the next day and leave messages. I didn't work that night but I did work the next. They should give you a night or 2 if you need it.

What size sheets do I need? Is there a kitchen? Your bed will be twin size. Yeah there's a kitchen, depending on your roommates it could be clean or dirty and there are limited utensils in one of the housing units.

Is the 5-6 day work week awful? Would it be extremely helpful to spend some time getting in better shape and developing some stamina first? I am not in shape at all and working 6 nights a week was just fine. This is because most dancers make money through their drink commissions, so when you're not on stage you're sitting there talking to people. It's not like a regular club where you're doing heaps of lap dances and running around the club all night.

Someone said that all the hotels have gyms. That's cool, and I'm fine with that if it's all there is, but are there pilates or yoga classes? And does anyone know of dance classes anywhere on the island? Not sure about this one.

I'm auditioning for a school in LA on 7/12. How do clubs feel about giving time off? Would I be better off waiting to go til after the audition? It would save me about 2k... It would probably make more sense to wait till afterwards.

Does it matter when I go? Dude at Club USA keeps saying to hurry up and send pictures because he's doing his hiring May through June. But can I pretty much get a job any time? This sounds weird to me... unless is housing is full or something. But you should be able to get a job any time.

If the club's accommodations suck big time, how difficult and expensive is it to find your own place? If you want to stay within walking distance to the clubs, it will be pretty expensive. Some girls do come here on a contract and end up staying here and moving out of housing though.

Are ALL the beaches polluted? No, the beaches are really nice and clean :)

Do you get payed nightly? You get your drink and dance commission nightly (and stage tips) but your salary you get paid in cash every 6 days.

Are all the clubs nude? Yes

Are there places that let you use your own music? I don't know about the other clubs but G-Spot does.

All the above relates to G-Spot. Hope this helps :)

Also, Club USA is supposed to be dirty. Really dirty. I haven't even gone yet, but that was pretty much the consensus amongst everyone that I've talked to that's been there, so if I were you, I'd look into another club.

Wow....so I'm living in Tokyo right now, teaching English. I'm seriously considering working in Guam for 3 months when my contract is up at the end of April 2010. A ticket from Tokyo to Guam is like $1300 so that would be incredible if they paid for it!

Are May, June, and July good months to work?

How much do girls average per night or per week in tips? The flat $450 per week no matter what sounds great!!!

How far in advance should I contact the people at G-Spot if I wanna go next year?

Thanks!

Tickets shouldn't be that expensive... that's like round trip to the states.

I contacted them about a month or so before just so I knew they had room in housing for me.

Let me just clarify...You can't fly to Guam and make connections at international airports without a passport, right? Because the club I'm currently in contact with seems like they're about to send me on a flight with international connections with no passport...and I'm extremely leary :O.

virgoamm
05-27-2009, 02:41 PM
Right. the only way you can fly over there without a passport is if you have a connection in Hawaii. Otherwise, you're flying into a foreign country (even if it's just a layover) and need a passport.

When I was at G-Spot there were no black girls at the time, but there have been some there before and other clubs have black girls working. Race isn't an issue here.

There are 2 military bases... an airforce base and a navy base.

I think it's supposed to start next year, but there is a lot of preparation that needs to be done before they can all come over. There are a lot of contractors and such on Guam that are getting that set up.

So dude(s)...is it normal for a club to try to schedule you a flight from an airport that's 900 miles from where you live? If I have to ride greyhound for 20 hours and then fly for god knows how many hours, I will promptly kill whoever subjected me to that on arrival...or at least I should, but I truly love everything about traveling, even when it sucks, and I'm really, really excited to go. However, I think it would be completely unreasonable if I had to do that and would be offended on a personal level.

USA – a mix of Air force and Navy, I suggest you do a search about the owner Pat[/QUOTE]

I have googled every combination of his name... will prob be going to Club USA in a month...what do I need to know about him? is he creepy or just interesting?

Pixie_x

So I just got to club USA. Last night was my second night. I like the club, and most of the customers (with some exceptions. Like the guy who said he wanted to "lick it before he went" and the guy who tried to lick my nipples on stage. And also that guy who wouldn't let me sit with him because he said I was under his weight limit) and employees have been really nice (to my face). Pat, however, is most certainly a douche. He tried to forbid me from going to the beach because he didn't want me to sunburn...Like I'm retarded or a child. And he was snide that I didn't come into the club the first night after I got there....after having traveled for two days and not slept for three. However, I find it pretty easy to ignore him so far, as long as you just do your job, and I haven't had any major problems with him, and he doesn't really seem like a creep, he's just a douche by nature. I've definitely, definitely had worse bosses at other jobs. I think it's worth it for the deal you get, as long as you don't let him get under your skin. There's been alot of military guys in the past couple nights, and I've had tons of fun.

Let me know if you decide to come here. I think you'll probably be my roommate if you do, since our place only has two people right now and alot of open rooms.

lovely1021
07-20-2009, 03:37 PM
The rooms have locked doors the club should offer lockers. bring a lock box for your room if that makes you feel comfy. there are internet cafes everywhere. most cellphones work but check your provider for charges. they also have prepaid companies and guam cell rents phones out

Club Usa is not a dirty club but some girls that work there do some very dirty things, "tiffany" local girl named Nadine (married to military) fingers herself on stage and shoves beer bottles up guys asses... this is almost everytime onstage on busy nights. Club owner or manager Patrick Nelson is a pathalogical lier, he is incredibly controlling, forbides "his girls" to going out after work, hanging out with other girls from other clubs, having boyfriends, or seeing guys outside of the club that he doesnt make money off of. Lies about them to other girls to cause drama, screams at them if there is a argument over money or personal issues with the club, fires them with no ticket back if they disigree over his strict fines (fri or sat night sick fine of $300 only allows dr. note from hospital $200 visit fee). Its amazing how childish this guy is, how much drama he creates with the people that work for him. This is not how guam is, just this one club owner/manager. Guam is awesome with the right club, i am just answering why Club USA can be a really awful place to work at times. Im sure the other girls who have worked there and are posting here cannot say Pat has never screamed at them over something petty and acted extremely unprofessional.

also, bring mosqito repellent.
Coco's seems to be one of the better after hours places. (they serve chicken bbq and alcahol, and have a tattoe shop in back)
Horse & Cow is a fun bar to go to on your night off- pretty cheap drinks, beer pong, darts, pool, foozeball, and filled with young military guys.
Ohanas (same building as Viking) is the most beautiful karoke bar.

I am planning to go to Guam in late January and are trying to choose between Crzy House or Club USA. Which club would you recommend? At the moment I can only go down for a month with my work commitments but will come back for both July and August.

On another note, photography is my hobby and I would like to bring my MacBook Pro over to upload photographs and edit them with Photoshop. Would you recommend bringing over a laptop on the housing that is provided? If you have a laptop can you access the internet at home?

this guam contract is fucking terrible. the club basically reserves the right to terminate you, withhold pay, and leave you homeless and stranded in the middle of the pacific for any reason it sees fit.

I have been thinking of going to guam for sometime now and I was doing some research on the clubs there. Thank you for this thread it was definetly helpful in many ways. One of my ex-BFs mentioned that at many of the smaller clubs, such as club Foxy, they have several chinese and korean girls that just work the crowd. Like they just sit with the guys who buy them drinks for $20 each.

What role do these girls play in the bar? Do they steal tips from the dancers? are these the girls the guys typically buyout of the club? Do the guys get anything from the girls?

I did post in another thread about guam, just covering my basis. I appreciate any advice :D;D

TIP number 1 about Guam: Tan lines are cool!

I concur with the comments about the girls getting sucked into the partying... Guam is awesome on many levels. I went there 3 times and am thinking that I may just go there every summer for the next 5 years. If you don't like to hustle too much (you'll still have to put some kind of effort out) it's reasonable to make between $150 to $300 a night on top of your pay ... It's sooooo much less stressful than paying to work for a club and competing with all the extras going on everywhere nowadays... there is just something about knowing that you are walking into work $75 ahead rather than in the hole that is so rewarding as a stripper. Aaand you don't have to be on your feet that much either. I love the system of the clubs in Guam ... wish our clubs were more like they are here.

None of the clubs are posh, so if you have to work in a "upscale" environment, you may not like this place.

If you know how to sell and hustle, you'll do great AND couple that with a fit body and you WILL bank here.

One of my friends admitted to me that she would do mast shows in the vip, which was a private room, and she banked without prostituting herself ... it was a show ... at least that's what she told me and I trust her on this one ... i never felt any pressure to do anything i did not want to do ... in fact i was more appreciated here than anywhere else i've worked. Last time there, I paid all my expenses (car, house, utils etc) and still saved 10,000 in 3 months.

Be careful about over drinking and falling into the party mode... if partying is a problem for you, this place will not solve it. Everyplace is what you make it.

^I haven't been to Guam, but was planning on going this summer.

Honestly, I don't think it would be a good place to start because if you don't like it you are stuck there. Unless you are going to be in Guam anyway, then go for it. But if you're doing the whole contract thing then no.

IMHO--I wouldn't start dancing if Guam. The clubs are all high contact and the clientele consists partly of military(whom, excuse the stereotype, can be heavy drinkers--especially when there are carriers/boats in.) Guam's clubs are also a little different in that you sit down and have to actually have a conversation with people in order to make money...so I would imagine that it could be a little overwhelming for someone who has never danced before.

I work at Foxy's, I love working there but I never recommend Guam to a first time dancer. It can be a very tough hustle at times and also the high contact that is allowed here isn't good for someone that hasn't gotten used to working in a stripclub environment imo.

Does anyone know any Canadians that have worked in Guam?

My concern is legality.. if I leave after 3 months is someone going to freak at me for working under the table?

Guam IS a US Territory ... thus technically subject to the same 'legal work status' laws for workers that exist for mainland US businesses. Guam is also a comparatively 'small' place ... and does do customs inspections with a fair amount of diligence ( don't want any dangerous foreigners around the US military installations after all ). Thus it's entirely possible that some customs inspector is going to put 2 and 2 together in regard to an extremely hot 20-something non-US citizen female arriving with a suitcase full of stripper outfits !!! This could result in you being 'held' at customs and put on the next plane back to Canada ... plus being blacklisted from re-entering any part of the USA for the next 10 years !

Thus your real worry won't involve being 'outed' after 3 months of dancing 'under the table' ... it will more probably involve being 'outed' before you're ever allowed to leave the airport when you arrive !!!

Don't quote me on this, but it's not unheard of for non-US citizen dancers to ship their stripper outfits via UPS rather than attempting to carry them through US customs in their luggage !!!

PS no Guam clubowner is going to enter into a 'contract deal' with a non-US citizen dancer who can't legally work in their club !!!

We have an Australian girl at our club now, she is going to school here so I'm guessing she has a school visa allowing her to stay but I haven't asked, I know she isn't here illegally. We also have a girl from Germany that comes out, she can only stay for 30 days at a time on a visiting visa so I am assuming she pays for herself to come here since the contract is for 3 months to have airfare paid for. I suggest emailing the clubs and asking what can be done if you are not a us citizen.
