I grew up at a time when the vast majority of us would have thought JLH looks just fine. But then social trends have changed in just a very short time on a historical scale. Besides this change in what is thought of as attractive weights for women, I have seen many other changes in the fad/fashion/body industry in the areas of tattoo acceptance, beliefs about what is unattractive body hair, beliefs about what is attractive jewelry, beliefs about piercing, and other changes.

I also think one can only blaim "the man" so much. Reminds me of this Tool song, "Hooker with a Penis"

~~~~
Well now I've got some Advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point the finger
You should know that I'm the man,
And if I'm the man,
Then you're the man, and
He's the man as well so you can Point that fuckin' finger up your ass.
~~~~

I think we all contribute to the shaping of society in many ways. Though each personal contribution is small, it is the net sum that matters, and I bet everyone here has adopted at least a few popular social trends of today as their own aesthetic beliefs, and maybe even believes they are not contributing to the next round of social trends that future people will blaim on "the man".

People, stars aren't perfect...and they look like every day people with out make up also.

But just look at the comments with the photos! Most of them amount to "we only want to see her with gobs of makeup on!" That's really nice, something that could have been good (your point of stars are normal people too) is turned back around to be negative. Thanks media! ::)

I dont think JLH is fat. However I have to admit to enjoying bad pics of celebrities -more so ones where their faces don't look airbrushed perfect - where they have pimples etc. Why? Because I have seen bad pics of me and it makes me think "am I really that ugly?" but seeing bad pics of beautiful people makes me realise no it's just bad lighting, bad angle etc. So I really dont mind magazines running such stories.

However it is bad for people's self esteem. Plus it annoys me howon one hand JLH gets criticised for this and then Victoria Beckham gets criticised for not eating. No one can do anything right.

I actually agree with Will on the body fat % thing. People just carry their weight diferently and JLH obviously carries hers around her legs and butt coz her waist still appears small.

I never thought JLH was so "hot"... but thats just me.

She looks like an ordinary girl here. Not fat, just softer and more curvy.
