When i 1st started I used to use our poles like the monkey bars and no shit spin upside down on our spinner do a bunch more gymnastic type moves with some hardcore dancing as I was a gogo/cage/moshpit dancer for all the goth/indust/rock clubs before and i was up for exploring and showing off what I could do.

Over the years I started moving my hips/ass more and I cut out alot of my tricks simply not of lasiness plus the fact I have seen our over head bars fall down over the years and since we have our stage/tight runway over the bar and tons on bottles the idea of breaking my head if it gave on me just was enough to detour me. Anyhow I've changed my wild hardcore style alot over the years to fit best with me making money and so I'm more strippish with the seductive moves and I toned down the tempo abit still I'm seen by many as my bff put it "the rockstar" dancer which has nothing to do with the music I dance to becuz I dance to dance music/pop mainstream like Janet Jackson new feedback song that I'm just lovin or Kylie M's 2Hearts. Point is I do make a point of showing that I can dance, but I've toned down and smoothed out routine throwing in alot more Shakira type moves to the mix.

I dance slowly and rhythmically, and when there's a nice crowd, I like doing pole tricks, but even after working in the club for nearly five years, I still consider myself a beginner on the pole. And most of my time on stage, I'm on the floor! I do floor work for the majority of my set, because that's how I collect tips! Face down ass up!

Depends on the club. Gown clubs, I writhe, pose and hair toss. Im just furniture as far as guys care. At one point i would just tip the dj to keep me off the stage. I used to care about the stage, but after 5 years I could give a shit.

If its a ghetto club, its when in rome...ass clapping, splits, pole tricks (the 3 that i can do well) because the thugs dont really buy dances they just tip onstage.

But now that Ive been trying the ghetto clubs again, Im fuckin lazy, lol.

Tip me, fuck you...that's my motto dammit!

[quote=xfatrabbitx;1335513]depends on the crowd. normally im a ..(and i know a lot of you guys look down and dont like this..) booty dancer. booty clappin, poppin, various other tricks..but my club gets really ghetto on the weekends so its ok...i make money[quote]

I dont care what anyone says....EVERYONE is guilty of booty clapping. ;D

However, one must have an ass to clap. She who dares to clap a cheekless ass shall be struck down without mercy. ;)

Lots of spins and pirouettes, limited floor work and I like pole tricks (it's just a bonus if the customers do too).

I'll dance to any style or speed of music, but mostly I stick to trip-hop or classic rock these days. I try to move like I'm underwater, like I'm being fucked. I shake my ass and yes I actually have one. LOL
I try to give a good tease to guys who come up to the rail, which usually gets me bigger tips and more tips from guys who are watching.
I'm not much for pole tricks, but I do spins and pirouttes (sp?) around them also. I move my hips a lot. I don't really ever move fast. I'm kinda lazy but I like to try and push myself by getting in weird positions.

When the clubs don't pay me to go on stage I do as little work as possible so I can save my energy for making money and Im not exhausted and burned out at the end of the week. If I notice there is an especially appreciative and money spending crowd I work it much more.

I have two polar opposite styles depending on which of my typically polar moods I'm in: super high energy, running around like a primary school kid, hula hooping, pig-tails, cutesy sort of thing or cool-as-the-other-side-of-your-pillow, Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface, gowns and nice lingerie, jewelry.

I generally just try to get into the beat whether I hate the song or not and enjoy myself, but stray away from jerky, uncoordinated, novice movements.

I keep my transitions smooth and fluid and I tend to touch my body alot. I have a professional dance background so that helps. The guys love it when I break out the latest move from the mainstream dance club on occasion, too adding stripper flare to it of course. My mantra is, if I am loving myself up there, the guys will too which translates to $$$ for me.

I love some booty clapping- I don't care what anyone says. Especially when the song is perfect for it. I do need to learn some pole stuff though. I'm so shocked when newbie dancers who have been working less than 2 monts can do tricks. I can't do one.:'(

At least I'm working on my splits. When I can finally stand on one leg and put the other straight up....I swear I may do that on the corners of NYC while waiting for the light to change! haha
