I eat a small meal (and by small I mean if I go out I order off the kid's menu because the portions are smaller) and I literally will not be hungry again for about two days.

Um please tell me you eat more than every 2 days?:O

Depression can make us very un-hungry. Are you depressed about anything? I speak from personal experience and I have friends that've lost serious lbs being depressed. Or do you have an under or overactive body chemistry?

And of COURSE the weight shows right away, you're skinny, right?

Personally, I wish I had mmm...Marilyn Monroe's thickness, I'd be SUPER happy. Yeah right! LOL If I was her thickness, I'd probably only wish I was as skinny as I am now.

American's are big over-eaters, that's a fact.

Our portions that we're served in most restaraunts are CRAZY in comparison to what we've evolved by.

I LOVE FOOD though...hallejuhah LAVA CAKE!

I guess when I said other side of the fence, I meant a girl who can't just eat some cookies and not think about it.
I do try to eat healthy, meats, cheeses, carbs (good ones), fruits, and veggies. My indulgence is going out to eat and getting pasta. (mmmm...)
Funny convo with a co-worker last Thursday
S: I'm ordering some food, want any?
Me: No thanks, I don't usually eat on Thursdays.
S: laughs - Oh yeah, I forgot.
In all seriousness. I only say that to make the point that I really don't eat much. And I'm not starving, I promise I do eat if I get hungry! I do hate the holiday season though, I want to try everything, but if I do you can bet I'll get so over-full I may be in serious pain. I take leftovers and munch all week.
But hey, the bright side is, when you don't eat much, you don't crap much. And crapping is gross. ;)

Gah, I hate this. I eat fairly healthfully the majority of the time, but I hate when I say something like "ooooh, cookies!" and I get "Oh, well lucky fucking you, YOU eat whatever you want, SOME of us have to watch what we eat". Oh get off your high fucking pedestal, it's not my fault you can't get off your ass and exercise once in awhile.

well jeez. I hope you make smart food choices when you do eat, then. Your cells need their vitamins and minerals! Your body might not suffer now, but it'll catch up with you.

You should look into food supplements if you cant get yourself to eat. I'm using a powder called Veganique...on its own its gross, but blended with yogurt, fruit and whatever else you want, its nummy.

Um. I don't want to judge you. I don't know you. But the expression for your experience would generally be called "chronic undereating". Again, not judging you, but the eating habits you are describing are not really good examples of healthy eating with occasional indulgences, and it is very likely playing havoc with your metabolism.

Well, just because you don't shit doesn't mean that you don't have shit you need to shit. Chronic undereating causes constipation...and constipation causes a host of other medical problems.

But, you know, your life...live it how you see fit.

what about after having a kid Im the same weight I was it just seems to be dispersed differently. LOL
I tried to lose the hips till I relized My hip bones moved LOL.

But I have a friend who was insanely skinny and when she was pregnant looked super hot and now shes trying to KEEP the baby weight So I guess no women is happy.

Because the more you eat (healthy food)...more often raises your metabolism. The less you eat, the faster your body begins storing food for the "famine" or starvation it's going through.

;)

Which is why, when people want to lose weight, they are encouraged to eat many small meals/snacks per day as opposed to eating 3 big meals.

That sucks. I agree with Katrine, most strippers eat a lot of junk food from the house mom and breakfast at 6am, and countless Coronas at work and still look hot. Think about all the excercise we get!

I definitely believe in eating what you want til you are full. I try to eat good quality food (IE a real hamburger from a real resturaunt, not a McBurger) but I don't diet or try to eat certain foods and I never will. Why? I'm a recovered anorexic. My ideal weight is 105 (I'm only 5'2") and right now I'm EEEKKK!! (not dancing at the moment lol) about 118. But whatever. I am going to the gym more and try to cut down on my snacking, but I will never ever diet again.

The thing about people that pisses me off so much is that when I was down to about 85lbs a couple years ago (it's so weird to think I'm almost 40 pounds heavier) fucking COMPLETE strangers all the time would come up to me and be like "You need to eat something. Are you sick? Why are you so skinny? Do you eat?" and just all this RUDE ASS bullshit! Like, we would NEVER walk up to a fat ass and be like, "Fatty, get that quarter pounder out of your face before I bitch smack you." But because we're skinny people feel like they can say that shit. I hate people!!

Okay, I just got super pissed off/sad/IDK what when I read this post.

Just, wow. Okay, first of all, I want to tell you that I am not quite sure if I believe you....just because I know that I ate a lot more than that always, and I've been down to about 80lbs before. The only time I would go a whole day without eating was if I got drunk and binged the night before.

Second of all, if you are telling the truth about your habits, you have a serious fucking problem on your hands. And it can kill you. I have no idea what your BMI is, or how underweight you are but I can tell you that from this post, it sounds like your logic is pretty fucked up.

Also, the reason youre not hungry is because when you stop eating, you loose your appetite. I was never hungry either. And also, the reason you gain weight so quickly is that your body isn't used to eating, and so it's retaining water and holding onto the food because it's not used to digesting.

I really hope you think about what you said. I know I had a sick sense of pride about being ana, and that makes me really fucking sad to look back at all the years of my life I wasted obsessing about food, being skinny, etc. I look at pictures or see dates or talk about memories with my friends and I can tell you exactly what I ate what I was wearing and how much I weighed for everything. It's not pretty.

I've got a lot of over-weight friends that dump their sugary-chocolatey gifts on me, since "You're so skinny, this won't effect you!":hyper:

Funny, but eating more times a day, like six or seven, is the key to life time weight control. You still have to watch portions but fueling all day long burns more calories than starving. The body simply goes into shut down mode without food and burns zilch.
