Do you put them on foil or anything when you grill them? How do they not fall apart through the grill bars?

Hum, I have one of those grill baskets. I would put them on one of those... and I'm tempted to try these other ways to make them besides with marinara.

They don't fall apart. I just slapped them on there.

The Pierogie Thread is the new Random Thread
I wish! I spent an hour on Wiki reading about all of the different global versions of pierogi. Which led me back to one of my favorite topics: linguistic history of Russian, Ukrainian, and other former-SSR languages. I would love to go back to school one day and study them.......

We got fresh kilbasa for New Years from Hubbys Uncle so inspired by this thread i made pirogies to go with it. Just the frozen kind but they were still super good, i boiled then sauteed them in onions and butter. Super delicious but the kilbasa didn't agree with me so well.

I bought perogies, sour cream and garlic tonight. Sadly, no onions. Fried perogies for dinner!

I'm eating pierogies now!! I was too lazy to drive to Sasha's, so I got the Mrs. T. They are still damn good.
I boiled them, then sauted in a bit of fake butter spray. Sea salt and course pepper on top. I didn't have any sour cream, so eating them with some melty low-fat cream cheese and salsa!
Fuckin A!

Also, just gonna throw it out there because I have had it in a while buy, ever have Gwumpkies / Halupskies?
Golabki? Stuffed cabbage? I make those often.
Kapusta is another big favorite. :)

I just got the continuing ed catalog from the local school district, and they are having a class next month on making Pierogis and Golabki. I'll be there!!!!!
(One of the nice things about Chicago...it is said to have more Poles than any city outside of Warsaw.)
