I missed midnight and woke up about 1 AM to the sounds of Agnes Moorehead kicking alien butt:

Then went to bed. What a party! :)

ok, now I know I'm getting old. I went to bed at 10pm.
I woke up at midnight at the sound of fireworks and noisemakers and people screaming, and I had to resist the urge to yell at them to shut up. ;D

stayed in chat to midnight... drunk.... I'm sure I made an ass of myself.
Went to bed at 12:30... woke up a 3am to my dog Hank barfing on the comforter (you'd think he was the one who drank 1 and a half bottles of champagne!)... changed the sheets and worried about my mutt all night since he was shivering... the last time he vomited then shivered himself to sleep he had to have a tube sock surgically removed from his intestines.
But all seems to be well now. No more shivers, kept breakfast down, and had a nice healthy BM... Hank's doing well, too! Teehee, I made a funny;)
Anyhow, the new year started a little rough but seems like it's already looking better!
Jesus, I really am a loser.

Oh Sand, I'm gonna assume you're laughing with me!
I didn't do anything last night, LOL. Still trying to get my sleep cycle back and I ended up going to bed way early. :P

Iwent to sleep at 11pm and only watched a movie. In my defense, I had to fly back home and my plane was way late. Plus it was another 2.5 hours to drive from SMF to home.

Ugh....slept all evening, watched tv until midnight, and then called my mom only to find out she'd gone to bed at 11. Ha.
I guess we could've gone to the fireworks but it was really cold last night.

My husband and I went to eat then went over to the Children's Hospital and spent from about 11pm to 1:30am with our new son in NICU. It sounds sad but actually was the sweetest thing. I couldn't bare not to be with him on his first New Years.

I made deep fried mashed potatoes, hung out in chat, watched the ball drop on tv, then was in bed and fast asleep with boy when his brother called us as 12:38 am to wish us a happy new year. Yea, we are so beyond lame.

I'm gonna go with being half loser!
Angelina1 and I stayed in and babysat for a couple of girls we work with. We had her two boys 6 and 2, and one about 14 months and one 6 months. No champagne but sparkling cider at midnight.
I feel like I'd been out all night with the 4 am wake up with the babies, then up again at 8:30.
This is a major deal for me, I don't have any kids. I changed a diaper (only #1 thank God). I was so pleased with myself! When my friend came to pick up her girl (6mos) I said "look! I didn't kill her!" Everyone knows I have dogs for a reason!

She probably used her magic kitchen powers! LJ rocks!
MY NYE was pretty chill too. Just the sip of champagne at midnight. I did my drinking earlier in the week.
Edit - Actually, now I'm curious too, how would you make deep fried mashed potatoes?

I stayed at my bff's house last night with her and her 5 y.o. daughter. We put on our pj's at about 8:00, got Chinese food and pizza, and a bunch of other snacks. And we shared two bottles of good champagne and giggled and laughed our asses off until about 4 a.m. Best New Year's eve I've had in a long while, and the most I've laughed in months.
Then we slept in this morning, lol, well, I did anyway. She got up pretty early with the kiddo. After waking up we hung out in our pj's all day and played games with her daughter. It was a super fun time. Maybe I'm old and boring, but it was way more fun to stay in with them than going out in the cold for New Year's.

Haha, no, but we did let her toast with sparkling grape juice. She loved that!

They're basically potato croquettes. Refrigerate some mashed potatoes until they are firm. Roll them into 1" balls. Roll in egg then breadcrumbs. Deep fry 20-30 seconds until golden. I make mine uh "healthier" by whipping up some butter with garlic and herbs and putting a bit of it into each croquette with a piping bag. I also serve with a variety of dipping sauces including but not limited to melted butter, garden ranch dip, honey barbecue sauce, and horseradish sauce.
