Many people are quite different in real life than their online persona. This used to really surprise me--not any more...

Someone who is constantly snotty and insulting in verbal interaction online might be paralyzed with fear and indecision in real life. Which, ironically enough, no doubt tends to incite them to further snottiness online, lol.

I am pretty similar online and off, except I sometimes write more formally here. I also smile a lot more offline than in the pictures I have posted. I had two chipped teeth as a kid and never wanted to show them in pictures.

I do tend to cuss a lot online and off, and speak (and also write) with vehemence even when I think something is funny as hell--which can sometimes confuse people.

Well, in real life, I'm a depressed and angry son of a bitch. Here, let me show you my prison tats.

Wait, I thought you were really Roger Ebert?

It was the gas attack story that gave me away, right?

Gas attack story? I missed that, is there a link? Do I really want to know, lol?

Probably not.

If you don't want to go to Blue, don't click on . Really, don't!! It's disgusting anyway!!! I'm warning you!!!

Well you know I had to look, dammit.

Having done so, I have to say--I always knew you could write, but that really proved it. To describe such an episode, with such eloquence and wit, required imagination and style of the highest order. Certainly the finest bit of prose I have ever seen in Blue. Though I don't go there much, so never mind that. But an old SO used to show me stuff she found amusing there all the time, so I'm not entirely ignorant of the offerings to be found therein.

But what does that have to do with Roger Ebert? Wait, the fact that he can write, too, lol?

Exactly. He's a good writer, as long as you overlook "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls."

Yeah, I get it now--I have actually never read anything by him--only seen the extremely rare Siskel & Ebert show on those very rare occasions I do watch TV.

I did see Beyond Valley of the Dolls during a college film festival, but I wouldn't be in any position to judge his writing ability from that, since I was under the influence of several controlled substances simultaneously. I do remember having fun and enjoying the movie, and that it was quite amusing at the time--but it might have been those nasty drugs, lol...

Ok just so y'all know (and for my peace of mind) I had a problem with Pamela. Yes she is a very sweet woman but I just don't have any respect for people who ruin marriages (as she admitted to- hooking up with married men in particular thread).. And the fact that she pointed me, is what riled me up, any one else and I would've instantly shut up and obeyed. :P

Please accept my apologies, Cameron, for upsetting you in the first place. I realize I can be very judgmental and have been trying to calm down with that. The reason I love it here is because we can talk about pretty much anything without people being assholes and judging, and I totally forgot that.

a.) Why revive a dead thread just to put that out there? It was a done deal.
b.) Why discuss Pam after she specifically asked not to be mentioned on this forum anymore?
c.) This thread is closed.

No need for an attitude. I never got to say what I wanted because I got banned for 3 months.

Then perhaps dragging the problem up again isn't the best thing to do upon returning?
