FDR brought us out of the depression and HELPED the economy, the WWII made the economy boom.
Both very different, but don't undermine FDR. He is one of the best presidents in my opinion.
I'm not touching the rest of the argument.

^^^ you might want to read 'FDR's Folly' ...
(snip)"At its strongest, FDR's Folly is a powerful synthesis of the economic damage wrought by the New Deal. The book shows how New Deal farm programs helped large landowners at the expense of tenant farmers and sharecroppers; how the National Industrial Recovery Act contributed to monopoly and to the development of cartels within industries, undercutting recovery; how Social Security slowed the recovery, taxing workers, removing money from the wider economy, and contributing to higher unemployment; and how African-Americans were hurt by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration and the Wagner Act's sponsorship of unions.
Many of these arguments are well known. New Left historians in the 1960s, like Stanford University's Barton Bernstein, reached similar conclusions about the New Deal's failure, for example, to address issues of black poverty (of course, Bernstein is also critical of Roosevelt for saving capitalism). Powell does not claim that Roosevelt was a socialist. Rather, he was an opportunist, concerned with cementing his political power and little interested in how his programs affected the very constituencies he relied on for votes."(snip)
and let us not forget ... (snip)"the Banking Act of 1935, which created the Fed's Open Market committee and further strengthened its role in shaping monetary policy, helped spark the 1938 Roosevelt recession, the third worst economic collapse in American history."(snip)

I have repeatedly demonstrated how FDR PROLONGED the Great Depression.

^^^ and we both have repeatedly demonstrated that the true mechanism which lifted America out of the economic doldrums of the 1930's was the physical destruction of the factories of foreign competitors as a consequence of world war 2, which gave the USA a virtual monopoly as supplier of high value added manufactured goods to the world for the following 20 years - and which allowed us to quickly pay down the gov't debt that had been run up during the course of world war 2.
Arguably no credit for this is actually due to FDR, other than the 'tin foil hat' theory that FDR deliberately antagonized the Japanese and had US intelligence information 'bottled up' in order to precipitate the successful Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, which in turn provided sufficient justification for FDR to convince many many US politicians and individuals who subscribed to 'non-intervention' to allow the US to officially enter into both the European and Asian aspects of world war 2.

Hillary "lent" her campaign FIVE million dollars ! WHERE did it come from ? She grossed $7.3 million on her unreadable book and her after tax net was much less. She makes less than $200,000 a year as a Senator. She has to pay for the upkeep of her Washington and Chappaqua residences and for all those lovely pantsuits. She won't release her tax returns. Why ?
Bill made over $20 million dollars from "advising" Dubai. He wants another $20 million to buy him out. He claims he didn't make any money from facilitating a big uranium deal between Kazakhstan and a Canadian mining company. In the process he probably violated State Dept.
policy on Kazakhstan and contradicted Hillary's own position on their shoddy human rights record.

^^^ Eric, again you forget that this is the CLINTONS you're talking about. Normal laws don't apply ! Or at the very least there aren't very many people with the 'balls' to prosecute / testify (for semi-obvious reasons). And don't forget to kiss Don Clintonione's ring as you pass your cash filled envelope !

And now Hillary has made Maggie "The Bag Lady" Williams her campaign manager.
The same woman who was seen by the Secret Service removing documents from Vince Foster's office. Who took a bag with $50,000 in cash from Johnny Cheung.
Btw, please don't insult the Mafia by comparing them to the Clintons.

^^^ yes but she's paying for the Maggie Williams appointment dearly ... because the dismissal of her hispanic former campaign manager has angered Hilary's hispanic 'backstop' constituency ... who are expressing their displeasure in recent primaries with obvious results (Obama wins)
