I already lost a pound. But that's unimportant. My workout kicked ass today. More abs, chest, and shoulders. Run a lap around the track between sets. Great cardio in that.
Is 110 or 102 an arbitrary number you chose, or is there actual muscle mass/body fat % amount behind it? I'm just curious.
Because I used to regularly weigh around 112 when I was partying and never working out.
When I workout, build muscle, watch what I eat, etc...my weight is around 118 and bodyfat around 22%.
I dunno...I'm barely 5'4, and I havn't been 110 in many, many years, although I look it when I'm in reasonable shape. Then again, I have the opposite of BDD, I always think I am slimmer than I am, lol!

I think I need to 'fess up and drop out this round. I haven't done any exercise NOR do I anticipate any until school starts next week. And even though I've been eating healthy, my portions are out of control. I will start next week. Scouts honor!
I don't even care what I weigh I just want that tire that's visible through my tight sweaters to *poof* begone!

I choose 102 because I was 102 in high school for a year haha (only) and i'd like to get back to that. I like how I looked.

So I ate more salad with salmon. My trainer told me to watch the salmon because it has so much fat in it. But I baked a huge one the other day, and havn't had anyone to eat it with me. And it was expensive, I"m not going to waste it!
Well, the kitties are getting some of it. Point is, doesn't salmon have good fat? Omega-3 or whatever? And isn't that fat supposed to be good for immunity and fighting depression? So if I have a slab of salmon over 3 days, what's the most harm it could do?
Time to google....

I chose 110, 'cos I really wanna weight 115. i figure if I over-shoot it it gives me a 5 lb buffer.

I want to weigh 120 in my workout clothes again by Valentine's Day. So that's just over a month to lose nine pounds. The way I'm going, I should be able to do it.

Lose 2-3kg/5-7lbs of body fat, reduce my measurements by at least an inch or two all over and improve my fitness, though that doesn't necessarily have to be done within the month- I can be pretty patient. It'd be nice if I did accomplish it, though.

1. Lose an inch from my waist and hips (and my chest unfortunately).
2. Learn to eat clean, with 4 small meals a day.
3. Increase to 5 meals after one month.
4. 30 minutes of cardio a minimum of 4 times a week.
5. Weights 3 days on, one day off.
6. Learn two new exercises for each muscle group, and incorporate them into my weights routine.

I'm not doing so hot. I got a nasty cold, and haven't really been able to eat much, and haven't been able to exercise (except work) at all. Hopefully I can get past this in the next couple of days so I can get back on track.

The past few days I've done a hour of cardio every day. My personal trainer friend says that's what she has her female clients do if they want to lose weight. My eating is on track. I have a hard time getting enough protein, so I have to work on that.

Yay, fitness goals! My boyfriend is a personal trainer, so this past year he's switched me out of my stumped work outs of over done cardio with no weights, where I was also eating so few calories my body was just sticking and I felt horrible.
I've been eating great for a year, finally getting all my veggies and protein hehe. Also, I eat a LOT, so my metabolism has recovered from the dead slug it used to be finally, and I can cut my calories a bit so the weight drops fast.
Ok, goals;
I need to get my body fat checked, I believe I was about 24% last january, and I've gotten a lot of muscle and lost mucho fat, so until I get that checked again my GUESS is my goal is aiming for around 18-20%, think it'd look good on me.
My weight last I checked was 120, need to recheck that too, but I want to head for a slimmer 110 or so, since I'm only like five feet tall hehe. :p
Physical/skill goals: Still working on my free standing hand stands, I'm used to holding it tensely against a wall for two minutes, and I can hold it for a few seconds free standing, but I want to be solid. Eventually, I want to be able to do a back uprise into a straddle.
Also, I'm aiming for a muscle-up on my gymnastic rings, I can do them with someone helping me and taking off about 30% of the work, once I get one it'll be amazing.
Do you girls make a point of taking photos to track yourself? I find it helps a LOT to see the minuscule progress!
Ah, ok, so my current work outs;
Joint flexing/stretching for 15 minutes;
Then 5 sets of 5 reps of these-
diamond pushups
over head presses with 65 lbs.
kettlebell swings with 35 lbs. or 53 lbs.
Legs(these vary depending on my mood, but I alternate out deadlifts with 95 lbs or 145, box squats with 65, front squats with 65 or assisted one legged squats)
I practice handstands as I go, since it's skill at this point and doesn't exhaust me, and then after this which takes about 45 minutes usually, I do about 20-30 minutes of high intensity cardio, tabata swings or jumping jacks, tae bo, or if I feel feisty I drill on the punching bag.
So, every other day is this, the other days are just the cardio and flexing/stretching, and hand balance skill training.
My back looks better then ever. <3

By Chinese New Year:
*eat 5-6 small meals a day
*lose 5kg (10lb)
*get my body fat back under control (my scales only will calculate to a certain percentage, if you are higher you just get "error")
I need to cut this fat, to show off my nice shiny muscles.
Plus I cant bear another round of criticism from the family about my weight. Aunty has explained about my whole ED thing, but they just dont get it.
3 weeks from today.

I'm doing ok. I've lost 3 lbs in 2 weeks. My diet is a huge improvment from before, but it's still not great. I plan on trying to tighten that up more this week.
My workouts are also good, but not great and could be better. This week I'm on my period so was unable to workout hard, I just didn't have the energy. I'm working with this trainer 2 days a week for a half hour until Marcch 1st. My birthday is on March 8th, and I plan to be back in a size 3 by then.
Good things:
I eat breakfast on most days. Egg beaters and oatmeal.
I work out every day.
I eat pizza only 1 day a week instead of 7.
I am much, much more active now.
Bad things:
I crash my diet every day. I start off good and go downhill through the course of the day. Dinners are usually unhealthy.
I don't work out long enough. I need to do 45 minutes of crdio, but am only getting in 25.

I just bought a scale and I actually weigh 8 pounds less than I thought I did!
Which is great because my formerly supportive boyfriend who was supposed to be dieting with me flaked out and now its getting harder to stay focused when he orders pizza and wants to go to vietnamese restaurants where even the white rice is oily :-(
I'm only 3 pounds away from my first goal weight and 23 pounds away from my ultimate goal weight (that I want to be by the time school ends in May)!

I've started something similar. Like britt244 I don't care for numbers, but I've cleaned up my eating habits with LOTS more fruits and vegetables. I eat 6 small meals a day along with protein shakes as my mid morning and mid afternoon snacks. I mix cardio and weight training 6 times a week. I also drink nothing but water all day long (except for the weekends....I'm a wine-aholic!).

I was so good today, did an hour of cardio and everything... then for lunch I ate an entire 7" pizza with extra sauce, piled high with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, roasted garlic cloves, and artichoke hearts. It was delicious but that whole hour of cardio is going to burn that off instead of my thigh fat. Oh well. At least it was delicious.

^^^ As many fruits and vegetables as possible, plenty of whole grains, some protein, little to no sugar or flour. Just make it a point to cram as much fresh produce into your diet as possible, and you'll be fine.

Another 1.5lb dropped. I shouldn't be weighing myself, but there's a scale in the dressing room. I did legs today, but cut it short of an hour, as my head spun. Here is a typical meal plan:
Breakfast
1/2 banana and 1 yogurt, or replace with english muffin with peanut butter
Snack
Protein bar
Lunch
Turkey sammich on wheat pita and salad
Snack
Piece of fruit and a fistful of trailmix
Dinner
3 oz of chicken or fish, a small potato, serving of veggies
Snack
Maybe some fruit or a protein shake
BTW, I can't follow this exactly, I can usually only eat 4-5 times a day at the most. And I'm trying to eat as much as I can, and most of the carbs early in the day.
I always become ravenous at night. It takes some discipline. And sleeping pills.

I don't have a specific plan, but I have a suggestions for your fruits and veggies. If you're always on the go V8 Fusion is GREAT!! Tastes absolutely wonderful. You get a days serving of both in 1 bottle. Hope this kinda helps!:)

^^^ Doesn't it also have high-fructose corn syrup in it though? I know V8 Splash does. You're definitely better off avoiding that stuff, plus it won't have the fiber to make you feel full. So you'll consume more calories overall than if you just ate the veggies instead.

Today so far: 3 eggs (1.5 yolk) with fresh salsa and half an english muffin with wild blueberry preserve( teaspoon or so). Lots of water.

I threw out my back lifting a printer, noooo! I hope its ok tomorrow morning, took some muscle relaxers. I ate out twice today, thai food, then a chicken salad sammich...and some fries. But they are Hyde Park Grill fries, so yummy!

UGH, I NEEEED this thread. I've been eating like CRAZY the past couple of days. I think it's 'cos I've been eating processed foods again. NO BUENO.
this thread is my new crack, 'cos everytime I orget about it I start eating like a nut and you should SEE ME, I look pregnant with how much I've eaten today. I'm gonna detox tomorrow and get this processed food the FRICK out of me. I've noticed that processed food just makes me crave more processed food and it's SO HARD to say "NO!"
OK, ladies, so tomorrow I start detoxing. Be there for me, PLEASEEEE

I got chastized for eating french fries on Thursday. I ran out of groceries, so I ate out quite a bit. Yesterday I had some comfort food from luby's, but I didn't get my usual fried fish and mashy taters. Instead I got baked tilapia, rice, and green beans.
But the problem with restaurant food is the portions! I prob should have split that into 2 meals, but it was really good.
Then I had 8 pieces of sushi and a cup of miso-udon-tofu soup. No idea was the calorie count is.
I did get 3 workouts in, maybe I should take a walk around the neighborhood today?
Oh, and I've had 2 tacos to eat so far. Greasy tacos, no good, but damn tasty. I want pizza for dinner!

I do have a goal but it's not to lose weight. There are so many thick, curvy cuties where in the clubs I work in, that some guys are asking me to 'eat more carbs', 'get a happy meal', and to 'get a little more meat on my bones'. It pisses me off as I worked really hard two years ago and dropped around 15 lbs. and have pretty much kept it off.>:(
But whtevr, I like being toned and fit, but I am working more on my legs and butt to make them thicker.
When I started dancing in the 90's I absolutely HATED my naturally muscular, legs and butt. I so wanted to look like Kate Moss, lol!
So, I am doing something for my legs, weight wise everyday and then one or two days a week, I am doing total leg work outs, pushing for heavier weight.
We'll see what happens:)

I've been good about keeping my calories between 1,200 and 1,500 but I've slacked off on exercise lately. I order a Gazelle online and when it get here and the end of this week or the beginning of next I'll be able to do cardio without getting rained on or worrying about looking stupid while running in the city or being mugged. I'm also asking for hand weights for Valentines day and I should be able to reach my new goal of being -11 pounds by March 3rd.

Last night I even cooked up some red potatos and peas to eat at the office today. Then I went home for lunch and am eating turkey on wheat pita instead, haha.
Apparently red potatos are the best kind to eat if you are going to have potatos. And yes, I know they have caaaaaaaarbs. My diet is pretty well balanced between protein, carbs, and even fat (20% or so).

Update:
I have one week to reach my goals. I havn't weighed myself because Auntie Flo is in town and I am bloated to hell.
I ate cool ranch doritos this weekend, oh noes!
Technically I had 2 lbs to go, but its more important how my weight has shifted. Ie, muscle vs. fat.
This week: I went to the grocery and got good stuff. I am going to eat clean, clean clean. Today was an excellent leg workout. And I'm trying to chug as much water as I can.
One week to go, then a new plan!
Add: I have these Fat Burn pills with Pyruvate. They are big and hard to swallow, but I am going to try and stomach them this week. Perhaps they might have some short-term efficacy?

I want to lose about an inch or so everywhere this month. I don't care what number the scale reads- you're weighing EVERYTHING, not just your body fat (I rarely weigh in any more anyway)- but I do care about my measurements and how toned I am.
I expanded slightly over the holidays (too many treats, methinks). Nothing dramatic, since I've kept up my workouts, but I'd like to get that extra inch I've gained off. Actually, I'd really like to get three inches off everywhere, but that's a bit of a pipe dream, I think- it seems kinda unrealistic to me, given my body type and medium bone structure. I'd be thrilled with one to one and a half, really. Even half would still be nice.

I jumped in on this in mid-January.
I started off at 152, as a couch potato and awful eating habits.
I added 30 minutes of cardio 3 or 4 days a week (working up to 5 days a week, 60 minutes a day), and weight training 3 days a week. I cut out soda, and while I am not watching calories, I am making an effort to eat more healthily, with smaller portions.
I'm now at 148, so YAY progress!
I ordered two new bikinis, so looking hot int hem will be a great motivation.
My goal for this month is to get back to 120. I am 6 lbs away.
I am doing it right too. I am going to the gym, hitting cardio (vigorously) for 20-25 minutes, and weights for about 30-45 min.
I already see a difference and its only been 3 weeks. BUT, my month starts from today.

I'm in! I was getting somewhere in October, but bleh. I've gotten more flexible and kept it, but I have a long way to go. And I have to be reasonable with myself. I have work and school and I can't workout all damn week.
Goals: Being less tired all the time. More stamina. More bendiness.
So:
Water. Lots of it. With Emergen-c. Get a new Brita. And no more than 1 cup of soda at work (they're little cups).
Bringing food to work, so dinner is more than a Cliff bar.
Stretch 5 days a week. I can fit in 10 minutes of stretching a day.
1/2 hour of cardio or Pilates twice a week.
Also, switching my schedule to 4-12, two days a week once school starts, so I get some sleep.
Okay I was ill for almost 2 weeks there. :( BUT I did drink lots of water and have not had soda except one day.
Monday I did 25 mins Yoga flexibility for beginners (counts as stretching methinks)
Today-30 mins Pilates beginner mat workout.
And I start the 4-12 schedule this week. Must wake up. Earlier than 2!

Well I'm down another pound to 147.
I've been really good about no soda, and I've done at least 4 days of cardio for the past 3 weeks. I also am doing fairly rigorous weight training 3 days a week.
And now I'm making more changes to my diet, so my improvements should be even better!

ok my goals have totally changed:
I just want to get my leaps and jumps back to hyper extension point in the next couple weeks, 'cos this photog is gonna expect it.
here's my fist leap since I quit dancing back in September (first because of an injury, then because I just didn't want to go back, haha)
http://a633.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/86/l_b5936304f6628929d39ed96f80352fc0.jpg
I regain flexibility and strength really quickly, so I should be able to hyper extend by the 9th, no prob. I just gotta stretch and fuck around on the floor space every now and then.
ok, so there's an attainable goal! HOORAY!
it'll b good to do, too, 'cos if I can stay in dance shape, then auditions won't be so rough for me next year if I decide to go back to cheerleading.

Girl, you look hot. That is an amazing jump!
Ok folks, I am looking so fucking hot right now! Ok, ok, I just ate half a jar of hummous and pita chips. And last night I had a bowl of seafood gumbo. And a few days ago I had a fried chicken sammich. But fuck it!
I've been eating as clean as possible for as long as I can, and writing it down. My workouts have been intense, and my shoulder muscles are popping out. I feel so toned and sexy. Honestly, I weighed myself today and it doesn't look like I'll have lost the entire 6 pounds by Monday.
But my smaller pants are starting to fit me again, and my strength and endurance have greatly improved. My arms are much less flabby. And I've done this while battling an almost crippling bought of depression these last few weeks.
Imagine what you can do working out more than 3x a week for an hour, and not cheating every day. Yay!
(FTR, I just think I'm the most confidently sexy beast with horrifily low-self esteem ever. I am a walking paradox. A sexy walking paradox. YMMV.)

My January goal was to weigh 129 and today I weighed in at 128!
I have my first burlesque show at the beginning of March so my February goal is to get my stomach and legs as toned as possible. I'd hope to lose 10 more pounds by then but I'm mostly concerned with overall body composition and measurements in inches at this point.
