OMG, I think Morningstar's chicken tastes like real chicken! My brother-i-l tried it and did not like it, but my niece and nephew think it's delish. I like it. It's a shame they have egg whites....

Sloppy joes, tater tots, and sweet corn. Nothing terribly adventurous, but it keeps the kids happy and it's not mac n' cheese.

Yay for new kitchen settings! And this sounds deeeeelicious from start to finish. Tell me more about this pizza, I'm totally gonna do it! In fact I might literally "do" it, it sounds like a damn humpable pizza.

I tease the Hubby because when I found him, he called it "ma'amwich" instead of Manwich. He's so equal opportunity. But it's one of his fave chows too.

A mi, I'm going to broil some tilapia with a peach and mango salsa on top. Hoping for the best, it's another throw-together as my lazy butt has STILL not made it to HEB since we got back from our vacation. That and a mixed greens salad will get us through the night, albeit barely.

We're making pizza from scratch. I wanted pizza but didn't want to spend money, so I threw dough ingredients in the bread machine. In an hour I'll take out the whole-wheat dough and roll it out and top it. I've got chicken baking with lemon pepper, lemon juice, garlic, and basil; I'll shred that and put it on K's half. When the chicken's done I'm going to roast the garlic cloves I just peeled - an entire head of garlic - and put that on there too. K shredded a blend of the cheese we had in the fridge - asiago, pecorino, havarti, and cheddar. I just need to chop a can of artichoke hearts and pull out some baby spinach, and open a can of spaghetti sauce. I think this might actually wind up being better than delivery pizza! Just wish I'd started the dough sooner, argh. It takes an hour and a half for the bread machine to make the damn dough.

Bland chinese takeout. Pondering how to fix it...it needs a savory element.

Personal chef? Well, I'd be happy to if anyone wanted to hire me! :D

This is gonna be good. Whole-wheat pizza crust comes out in ten minutes, to be topped with olive oil, sauce, asiago-havarti-pecorino-cheddar blend, spinach, whole roasted garlic cloves, quartered artichoke hearts, and half with the shredded lemon-basil chicken if there's any left. I pulled it out and shredded it a few minutes ago and K's already eaten half of it. I tried a little too and it is some pretty damn good chicken. I stirred some cabernet and spices into the canned sauce so it'll be a spicy wine sauce... everything's better with wine!

I'm pretty excited. I've made pizza at home before but never made the dough from scratch. We'll crack open a bottle of merlot and watch State and Main. Glad I stayed in tonight.
