I have around 8 pairs in my closet. A lot of them are at least several years old but they still look nice, probably because I don't wear them that much since I have so many other pairs of pants. Most of my jeans are flares or bell-bottom. I hate straight leg jeans and "skinny jeans." I don't buy a particular brand...because I'm more concerned with the style/width of the bellbottom leg than the brand, I shop all around and I will buy whatever looks good on me and has a leg that's tight at the top and flares out really wide at the bottom.

I have a huge collection of jeans. I'm a designer whore.. I love mostly True Religions, but I have a big Marciano, Miss Sixty, R&R and Guido & Mary, Tsubi/Ksubi & etc.
I probably have upwards of 50+ pairs... My dad goes crazy when he sees my closet.
I'm a college girl though, I LIVE in jeans during the winter & fall.

I think I have about 10-13 pairs and I've probably gone through hundreds so far. Strangely enough, I have NEVER found the ideal "perfect pair of jeans" that everyone speaks about.:(

Oh and for any of you ladies who are near the tri-state area you can purchase premium designer jeans for real cheap at the department store/ outlet Century 21 (http://www.c21stores.com/) The sell high quality designer gear with 40%-70% off. It is a really famous dept store... They have 5 or 6 locations.
And this is where I will be buying most of my jeans from. The winter clearance sale is on, and I saw about 8 Rock&Republics on clearance for $40. I tried to snag one but they didn't have my size.
Seraya have you been to the one in NJ? Not the Bergen County one, the other one in Weehawken I think? I was told it's the 'outlet' of C21. I was wondering if it was worth the trip.
Anyway I have about 10 pairs but I only like 4 of them, so it is time for me to step my game up and succumb to the luxury denim trend. I just hate jeans shopping because I'm 6ft.

I go to the one in Morristown I hear the Manhattan location has some great finds but it is jam-packed in there and I hate shopping in crowds.
I had no idea about the one in Weehakeen! I live in Weehawken/West New York. Do you know where exactly? I could go there tomorrow and see what they have.
BTW premium brand jeans will be perfect for you because of your height. Shorties like me have to get 'em hemmed.

PV, you NEED to get some R&R's!!! They are the only jeans I've ever had to get hemmed. They are usually 36 inch inseam. Hudson jeans also makes a "Supermodel" jean with a really long inseam. Oh and if you ever find jeans that you would like a bit longer, you can take them to a tailor and have the hem let out to give you an extra 1/2-3/4's of an inch.
Every time I find R&R's on sale, the sizes are usually really picked over. It's mostly really small jeans and really big jeans, with the middle sizes all gone. I would call that outlet and ask what days they usually get large shipments to up your chances of having a large selection.

I own the R&R Kiedis Skull jeans and I gotta be honest, I don't like the way my ass looks in them. Maybe they're too small for me? I even paid a seamstress to take them up to 32"
this is not my ass, but these are the jeans:

I never saw the point of buying tons of jeans - there's only so much that can be done with jeans to make them look different and I don't want more than 1 maaaaaaybe 2 with similar style because I won't ever wear them in the same week. I have about 6 or 8 pairs, all quite different in color, style, decoration. None cost more than $50. I think the most I ever spent on jeans was maybe $60.
Also I might buy 1 or 2 pairs of jeans per year and will wear them for YEARS. I've worn jeans up to 10 years before they became too threadbare to call jeans anymore LOL :O

I have six, but only two that I wear on a regular basis. I tend to wear skirts more than jeans. As far as my favorite brand, I would have to say 7.

Thanks LatinaRose, I'm gonna check out those Hudson jeans....and add some R&R's to my wardrobe.

I was told it was near Weehawken, I tried to find some info, but came up emptyhanded....maybe I got it mixed up with another store. One of the employees told me there is a store in NJ that all the C21s send the unsold stock to, like an outlet so I presumed it was another Century 21. This was a few years ago though.
The one in Brooklyn is where I go to the most. I like the NYC store because of it's size. I don't mind the crowds, but I hate the loooong line to try things on. I went to the LI store twice, but I didn't find it to be worth the trip.

I LOOOOOVE tsubi jeans. I guess I gotta call it ksubi now, but I have 4 pairs and a pair of denim short cutoffs which I love more than almost ANYTHING in my closet. ugh jeans love them. too bad I gained some weight, now Ive only been wearing leggings to avoid any possible muffin top.
