It's hard to just do a plain topless dance next to some nasty whore who is blowing a dude for a 10 spot.
UGH. Does no one think about STDs?? That is what shocks me the most. God knows what a customer could have festering on any given spot on his body. And God knows what a dancer could have as well! I've mentioned this to guys who want to kiss me or fuck me or God knows what. I'm like: "Dude, I could have mono, herpes, AIDS...you never know." And they're like: "Nah, no you don't. You're clean." I'm just like: "Wow, you must really be very trusting of people you've never seen before in your life." :O

I don't think any of this was called for.
I tried to explain Makenzie's position and you're calling me mindless?
Yeah, for real. Completely uncalled for and RUDE.

It's denial, plain and simple. That's why they're at the sc getting a bj: it's 'not prostitution', we just like them that much.
If they are that trusting though, I'd offer to hold their wallet. }:D

Whatever. I stand by what I said. Giving power to that energy is ridiculous. I have nothing to do with it when the slut dancing next to me is getting fingered and my customers see it and think that's included. Sorry if ya'll dont like the way I said it.

We're not suggesting that you're somehow causing it or anything. I'm simply saying (and I think Makenzie, too) that the only weapon we have in those circumstances is a positive attitude. What else can you do? This is the only way to have a positive effect on the situation because your attitude is all you can control. Trust me--I understand how hard it is to stay positive at all times. I'm not perfect. But you'll never find me in the dressing room bitching about how bad money is or how many whores there are, because that negativley affects MY attitude and money-making ability.
And it's not that I didn't "like" what you said, it's that it was a personal attack and was cheap and unnecessary.

I think it truly depends on where you are. If you are in a place where there are still SOME at least clean dancers and enough out of towners that you can get some party guys who havent yet learned to expect sex...you have a shot at making a decent living.
If, however..you work in a place like South Fl where you will likely be one of the 1% of girls who isnt literally having full sex for $50 in plain view in the club...and your area is WELL known for this to the point where tourists come there specifically for that....well...its a bit harder to keep your positive energy up.
I've had more then a few guys try to rape me, and I have guys on a daily basis try to suck on my tits, finger me, whip their dick out, etc....etc.... and in many clubs..not only the customer, but the management and other girls will look at you like you are crazy when you say NO.
I dont accept the "desparation" excuse or any other for that matter. I've been desperate...hell..I've been suicidal over money(and quite recently too). And I have absolutely no problem with having sex for money. However....I'm not a drug addcit so I still have most of my brain cells...enough at least that I know that there is a time and place for everything. And sex for money in the strip club is neither.
Amazing how I always make more money and havce considerably less stress when I work somewhere where extras arent allowed, expected or tolerated. If only all dancers would ban together and figure this the fuck out we'd all make more. Even the whores.

I don't buy the desparation line either. I think a lot of them don't know better and don't value themselves enough. We would all make more if boundaries were established and enforced!

^^^ Boundaries are NOT being enforced all over the country. Dancers aren't banding together. And hey, if my post was considered a personal attack, that was not the intention, okay ? I love you chics. I had "one of those nights" for the very reason discussed in the post and my booze for the night was venting. I'm sorry to anyone whose feelings I hurt.

Exactly. Good luck getting those girls to band together and not do extras. Do you think they want to do them? No. They just dont know any better. They dont realize they can make money without doing them. These girls are not going to listen to a rational explination. Theyre not going to band with us. Its frustrating to deal with these girls and its hard to keep your chin up all the time. Keeping positive energy is a lot easier said than done. I wish it was an easy as a mantra for me but its not. Im not that strong.

My point is that if it continues at the rate it's going , at least around here, it will almost be impossible to make money being a clean dancer. It's a fact. I've been in this business long enough to see the change.

Maybe I'm just in my own little bubble....but I firmly believe that there are still guys that walk into the club that DON'T WANT some skanks crotch in their face.
True, it can be frustrating to have to weed through the PLs that want more bang for their buck, it only takes a few of the old school VIP types to make your month.

I absolutely agree with this. I think it's also a factor in the overall decline in the amount of guys that come into the club. An old customer that used to bring clients in said he stopped doing that when dancers started getting really nasty. He said it was embarrassing and uncomfortable all around. I think there's room for different types of dancers and customers, but I agree it's a MUCH harder environment to work in and have to weed through.

twister, your club has had that rep for a long time now. Maybe it's drawing in the guys who want dirtier dancers?? B/c I agree with britney, I've had custies seek me out for NOT being dirty, so not all custies are looking for that. I'm thinking maybe your club is pulling in more of the guys seeking higher contact. I would consider trying somewhere else.

Local clubs may have a reputation of being fairly high contact, but every single one of them have video monitoring of the VIP booths. And they are watched; occasionally a dancer who doesn't know this and misbehaves is canned. Also a few clubs have been closed down over recent years.
I have noticed one thing that suports your observations - the arrests here are predominantly for drugs, and not too much contact. And this applies to both clubs and dancers. Of course central New York is behind the 'times' in locations you are discussing, I guess. Anyhow Niagara Falls Ont. is reasonably close.
Thats very true...at least it was a few years ago when I worked in Syracuse. We didnt have any problems(that I ever saw or heard of anyway) of girls doing "extras" in the club. I BANKED there!

I am so glad that this post got started! I actully agree with both sides A) the extras shit is OUT OF FUCKING CONTROL!!!! club management loves it because it equals money. VIP hosts love it cuz they can get their pimp on and make money on entras girls and non extras girls. I had a conversation with one poor new girl who was being forrced to tip vip hosts so she could get ushered into vip. They want her to tip them even if she was the one to sell the vip or if they helped her...huh? She's not an extras girl but it's the only way she thinks she can get in there. B) the only recourse is to keep a positive attitude and not watch what's going on...HOWEVER easier said than done for me. I have been having such anxiety before going to work because of all of this. The guys can smell it and i don't make money. When I am able to harness up some positive attitude then i will make money even in an empty club.
But the fact of the matter is most days it bothers me so much i cannot get my brain to just "be positive"! The girls consistently making good money at my club are the ones who have been there for years and just expect to make it (ingrained positive attitude). The ones who have been there for years and have regulars or get called in from management with appoinments with big spenders. The ones who tip vip hosts on every vip whether the host helped them or not and the ones who are fucking and giving blowjobs... everyone else is left to weed thru the rest of the guys. More and more guys are qualifying dancers to find out what do you do in vip because the fucking word gets the fuck out. So, yes it's necessary to vent from time to time because it sucks to have gone from being able to sell flirty, classy, conversation to weeding thru johns to get to the oldschool strip club big spending customer.

^The only thing that sucks is the latex ;) You should at least try it for a night or two, you can always go back if you don't like it.
