By the way, good luck with saving for your boob job! I've been there before(got mine in 2005), so I know how it is when you're trying to save like crazy for it. I remember working 7 days/week(often double shifts, too!) so that I could get everything saved up and squared away for it(I wouldn't recommend working TOO hard though, since you don't want to get burned out or frustrated from all-work-no-play). Don't worry, you'll get there! I see that you're about halfway there, so you're doing good so far!
When are you looking to get your BA done? I strategically got mine done in the summer, because I knew that the summer months would be dead dead dead...so what better time to miss a few weeks of work while recovering from surgery? :) The winter months are probably a pretty good time too. But I guess it all really depends on the location you work at and the type of club.
Thanks hon, I'm soooo excited I can't wait. Thats really whats motivating me to work 4 nights a week. Usually 3 is my max and maybe 4 one week a month but I'm really going for it, especially as its been slow.
Our clubs busiest time is stag season which runs from about April to August, (we call a bachelor party a stage do so stag season is over the summer when a lot of people like to get married hence lots of stags.) I've got my appointment with my surgeon on Tuesday which is when I'm booking my op date . I'm hoping to get them done at the end of Feb so I can have a month off before going back to work for the busy season. I also do some really easy stage work now and again at a bar in town which shows the football matches. The have topless girls dance on stage before and after the match and at half time. Theres no pole and you only do about 5 songs over 4 hours so its a pretty easy gig. Hopefully I'll be well enough a couple of weeks after my op to work there.
Sorry to thread jack guys. Thats it, Im done! Just wanna add that I've been reading through this thread again and I'm really finding it so inspiring. I'm already feeling excited to get back to work on Wednesday even though I'm absolutely shattered from the weekend.

The first two weeks of January were rocky for me, but I nailed it this week.
All it takes is that one little taste of sucess to get the ball rolling towards more success. Likewise, all it takes is one person's negativity to start drowning in your own self pity.
Glamazon, (as if you didn't know) I listen to Buzzsaw and HairNation to psych myself up for work.

eek guys def dont think im bragging! last night was NOT good for me. the point was just that i like to stay away from the negativity, because last night couldve been worse if i didnt try to stay positive? you know? and friday night was awesome, so thats all.. just that the good nights are at least balancing out the bad ones.
everyone who did well last night, congrats! :) and those who are working tonight, good luck.

I don't have a problem talking numbers, but I think it might be good to maybe have a separate thread for it, so that girls who don't want to can still be positive in here.
More good stuff: last night was my last night until August at the club I've been at, and a bus full of bachelor party came in when it was so early that a not-so-attractive ghetto chick and I were the only ones on the floor. I had my first dance with them within a minute of the first of the group walking in, and within the next hour and a half, I pulled in more from them than I had made all of Friday night.
Then, even though I didn't get $20 whole dollars for the rest of the night after they left, I found out later that I had made more than a girl who's pretty consistently a top earner in there. I felt bad that she had a bad night, but what an ego boost!

I went into an old nude club I used to dance regularly in because business had slowed down considerably at my current home club. When you enter into this club, you go directly to the dressing room and are not allowed onto the floor unless dressed. My manager hadn't seen me in that club in so long that he gave me a stern warning that I had to stay the entire 6 hr shift and despite an initial 'dread' of (It must be soo dead in there for him to be so adamant about not bailing), I smiled and agreed to stick it out. And it was DEAD. Indeed. For, like, the forst 3.5 hrs there were about 12-15 dancers and maybe 4 guys tops. But I made myself ask ALL 4, lol, guys, and took their'no's" politely.
Finally, the club had maybe 10 guys there, and I approached a guy sitting by himself and asked to sit with him. Well, he was impressed that I knew about his industry and that I have travelled so much. So when I offered to show him the different dance area, he jumped at the nude dance option. We ended up doing 4 nude dances and he tipped me $200 on top of that. I had to do a stage shortly after and told him I'd be up and he tipped me a $20 on stage.
I went right back over to is table afterwards, we talked another 15-20 minutes and he handed me another $100 before he said he had better head out.....So what went from $2 for the first 3.5 hrs jumped up considerably and was my best night at that club since I had started dancing nearly 4 years ago. All because I shrugged and said, what the hey, might as well see what's up with every guy in the club!
Aside from him, there were good stage tips for the rest of the night and with a whopping four dnces, I was one of the top earners dance-count-wise, not to mention with his gracious tips!!!! He was the ideal dream customer, on an otherwise slow and dreary night for everyone else.....I am immensely thankful for that night because it restored a lot of my faith in the industry and it reminded me that a positive attitude can work wonders, even if you have to force it with a 'what the hell, why not just say hello?' I was also thankful for the 'stern' encouragement to fulfill a full shift!
Keep up the good work, ladies!

Tonight was awesome! I read through this thread before work, then I went in early and banked! I did the best so far this year. What's more, I didn't even have a single regular come in tonight, and I never did more than 2 dances at a time! I am sore as a mofo and my feet hurt pretty bad, but tonight was rad so I'm not gonna complain. Any girl had to really be doing something wrong tonight to not do at least 15 dances minimum.
Now I only need to work 2-3 more shifts to make my month goal!

Right there with you. In my last two shifts I made more than in the four that preceded them. And you have the Super Bowl to look forward to!
Here's a fun number, one of the few times I'd like to talk them: $472, the amount I made in one stage set today (ballers in the club, sun child can attest to the fun), a personal record for a single set by a long shot.

here's another thing i do that helps me not get discouraged. sometimes i dont set a specific goal, like tonight. it could go either way. i still talk to everyone, do the best i can, but i dont set a number for myself because i might get disappointed if i don't get there.

Here's something positive to add:
For the past several years, I refuse to work weekdays. I swear they are to slow and I will not make any money. Every weekday I end up going in, I don't make money and blame the day. Tuesday and Wednesday are my most hated days, and I am adamant that it is not possible to make money on those days.
For the past 2 weeks, for different reasons I have been unable to work on the weekends. I was forced to work weekdays, and even the dreaded tues-wed. I made money on all the days. Not much, bwtween $200-$400, but worked for only 4-6 hours and still, it was consistant money. Not once have I left without my housefees, or left with a pitiful amount of money. I changed my thinking, and my earnings changed as well. Now I know I can work any day of the week and always make some money, if I look hard enough.

Tonight was horrible for me... but coming home and reading this thread makes me realize that it's just a hiccup for me this Jan.
All I can say is thank God for this thread. The first 2 weeks of this month sucked balls. 10,000 girls and about 10 custies in the club. ::) Everyone running dry from the holidays. That's all about to change, though, I can taste it. I'm ready to suck some major wallets dry again. Plus... I'm gonna start working at a different club in a couple of weeks. YAY for positive changes! ;D

Our tightwad night is on Tuesdays, too. For me, the trick to doing well on a night like this is to stay sober! That way, I can maintain my focus throughout the night. Even if they're just buying table dances and not upgrading to VIP or Champange Rooms, the money can add up really quick. You're going to do great!

Here's the ultimate bottom line ... for SW dancers it really doesn't matter all that much whether there are more or less customers coming into your club, and it also really doesn't matter whether customers are spending more or less money. Here's why (and please forgive me if this sounds elitist, but hey I calls em like I sees em) ...
In the vast majority of cases, SW dancers are smarter than the vast majority of other dancers they are working with. Also in the vast majority of cases, SW dancers have a better work ethic than the vast majority of other dancers they are working with. Lastly, SW dancers are typically smarter than the vast majority of club customers as well. This means that as long as there is ANY money walking in the front door of your club, you've got the skills and the discipline to go after it !!!

This month is weird! I usually have a respectable daily average, but I don't even know what to expect from day to day it seems. Yesterday blew, sorry I know this is a positive money thread, but it did. I did notice something though - sometimes I stumble over my own pride, and that can mess you up in this biz. I noticed a new girl hustling guys who I would normally completely write off. You know, just creepy cheap guys, or bar regulars, or video lottery guys, the guys who I would have been approaching if I was a newbie like her. She wasn't striking gold or anything, but because she didn't know better she snagged a few here and there. It was funny, because I did something I normally don't do, I approached a guy after she'd given him one dance and did the whole, "now you're ready for some real fun with me" that is not how I hustle, so it sounded weird even coming from me. I'm just a pretty mild mannered respectful girl and feel like that is in some way putting her down or something. I know that may not make sense, but that is what I mean about how I need to get over myself sometimes when I need to hustle harder. But he did end up liking me and spending over a hundred dollars, which pretty much doubled what I had made, so I was very glad that I approached him when I normally wouldn't have.
Anyway, so this month is funny for me. I had my record all time highest money shift this month, and also a few doozies like yesterday. BUT I'm going back in with my new mindset. I should read that thread Kaylinn made about pretending you've got that same mindset as a newbie....
But to end on a Positive Money Thread note
TAX MONEY IS COMING IN GIRLS!!!!!!!! I had 3 customers who said they were getting their checks today!!!!!!

I love this thread too. Through all the years I've been dancing I've never seen my club so consistently slow night after night as it's been the last few months. Last night it was, again, like a ghost town but I thought of this thread, stuck it out, and in walks a customer I haven't seen for years who turned the night around. More and more it seems that persistence and endurance are key components to a good night stripping.
What also helps me to keep things positive is doing a lot of visualization. Seeing a crowded room instead of the empty one it really is, hearing wild applause, opening my locker to see piles of money fall out, kicking through money like fallen leaves to the stage. It really affects the mood, much better than "Fuck, there's no one here, why bother?" That energy keeps me flowing and making good money from the few that ARE there instead of worrying about the many that are not.

I know it's been mentioned, but it's funny how persistence can pay off when things are rough. Yesterday (I work mostly day shifts) I was there from 11-7 and had made just only 150. I was bummed because this was an all-time low for me. The customers were not being friendly to anyone and it just felt slow and blah. I was pumped to go home and just about to go when something told me "no, stay you have to make your minimum goal before you can go". So I stayed an extra 2 hours over and raked in over 200 additional dollars. I was psyched!! I thought about staying, but have a long commute so I decided to go. Just goes to show how much of a difference 2 hours can make! I'm happy with my weekly earnings and I still have today to go!

i did very well tonight. not my best night ever, but my best at this club. i usually dont talk to other girls customers, but last weekend this guy gave 3 girls other than his regular girl a looot of money, so i figured it was worth a shot. he didnt give me as much as ive heard he gives other girls, but i did get his number and figure i can get him to take me shopping. i know he's loaded, and he comes in 2-3 times a week and drops a LOT.

My last couple shifts haven't been so great. I was pretty bummed. It's discouraging when it happens shift after shift. It puts me in the "I hate my job... this isn't worth it mentality." So before going to work last night, I did a quick skim of this thread - and I must say that it gave me encouragement to want to go into work and try again.
