My club has been dead recently and a lot of girls have showed up but I know the money is there and that it's been my attitude. So today I am stepping it up and working my ass off. I have a reasonable / high goal that I know I can meet and am going to rock it on stage, on the floor and in VIP.

I know the money is there. I'm going to seek it out, take it and then roll in it when the night is done.

Just imagining the money coming into my hands makes me drool a little bit :D

Here's the ultimate bottom line ... for SW dancers it really doesn't matter all that much whether there are more or less customers coming into your club, and it also really doesn't matter whether customers are spending more or less money. Here's why (and please forgive me if this sounds elitist, but hey I calls em like I sees em) ...

In the vast majority of cases, SW dancers are smarter than the vast majority of other dancers they are working with. Also in the vast majority of cases, SW dancers have a better work ethic than the vast majority of other dancers they are working with. Lastly, SW dancers are typically smarter than the vast majority of club customers as well. This means that as long as there is ANY money walking in the front door of your club, you've got the skills and the discipline to go after it !!!

YAY! That was epic! I'm about to go into work, and I have a great feeling about tonight :D

I've been working dayshift for the past year at my club & it's been unusually dead lately. So since there was a big sports event in my town this past wknd I decided to work sat night (my 4th time ever working nightshift at my particular club). Worked a 10-hr shift & walked out w/ $700+! Would've walked out w/ $900 if i didn't have to pay almost $200 in house fee, tip outs, cabfare, & overpriced (but yummy!) SC food, but oh well.

I'm pretty sure this is a record for me. I've come close to $700 before but not quite.
I'd love to try more nightshifts and hit a grand one of these days!

It was so hard to go back to dayshift the monday afterwards! On dayshift every dude wants to hear your fucking life story, and then MAYBE get a table dance or try to pressure you into a 2-for-1 or try to get nasty with you because "it's slow" or "there's no one else in this place".

Nightshift, guys just wanna get you undressed and dancing. Plus the place was packed, way more customers than girls, so it was hard to find a girl that was available. Broke even after the 1st four hours, so at 11 o'clock & after it was all profit. Between 2am and 5am I just stood around and guys walked up to me asking for dances, I didn't sit down with a single guy and walked up and introduced myself maybe twice to guys who were staring at me or waving me over to the table.

And the female customers were actually cool! They were drunk enough to just be throwing handfuls of cash on stage and one made her guy friends buy her 4 private dances from me (girls never want private dances from me).

A guy solicited me to come back to his hotel room, and when I refused he sheepishly came back up to me at the end of the night and asked for some dances. That shit like never happens to me.

Oh and a drunk guy tried giving me his credit card and then his whole wallet. haha

Goin back this saturday. Doubt it's gonna be as good but ya never know...

positive sounds good to me!

I've been getting guys to pay me by the hour more often

I made 5600 for 6 long days of hard work this week, which is so great! but then something terrible happened which I don't want to talk about b/c it's still premature.

what else?..my dog finally respond to the "down" command and knows how to talk/ bark on the phone when I call. he almost ate to phone in attempt to get me out of there I suppose, lol. My pets help motivate me to work harder so that I can take more days off to play with them, I work out of town and hate being away from them.

So the club was super slow and an hour before I was planning on leaving, I find this young tourist who spends 2 hours in Champagne ;D

Money has steadily been improving around here as well. Whether its the time of year or the economy is improving or its my hustling skills, but every weekend has been better for the last 6 weeks. Yay!

I would like to to say that, I just got back from vacation a week ago, and really REALLY didn't want to go into the club after being so relaxed and happy with my man for a whole week. When I got home I was tired, emotional, just started my period... overall completely unmotivated.

I went in anyways (t/th/sat) and made almost TRIPLE my average every single night :D. Even though Tuesday was dead, St Patty's day was filled with drunk broke irish men, and Saturday was filled with groups of stuck-up younger women.

I just made myself smile and talk to EVERY man I could come into contact with. Oh, and really made an effort to listen to my music and perform well on stage (which always puts me in a good mood). And ignore the cramps, bloating, and missing my boyfriend :(

I'd just like to share how awesome it can be to work with a girl of a different nationality.
I'm from the UK, I live and work in France. I speak French, but not perfectly and although I can sell dances and VIPs successfully to french guys that don't speak English, sometimesit can be really difficult.
Now my club is in a holiday resort so 90% of our clientele are from english speaking countries, and regulars are almost unheard of. But there's one local guy (a plumber who is also a successful gambler) who comes in a couple of times a week and is very generous buying drinks for girls, but rarely buys dances. He usually spends his time with the french girls, but being the only non-french girl that speaks french, he's taken a shine to me and always promises me a VIP the next time I see him.
I never managed until tonight.
He came in at the beginning, and the core group of french dancers weren't working, so we sat down alone together on a sofa. A Swiss girl danced on the stage and I commented on how hot she was. She finished, and he invited her for a drink. While he was at the bar I told her he was a potential VIP. When he came back we both worked our charms and with her speaking perfect french we got him in VIP together. He took a second one when we were done.
This is a girl that is new at our club and I hadn't worked with her before, but we worked so well together. She would distract him while I poured our champagne over the back of the sofa, and vice versa. He was very touchy-feely so when he got full on with one, the other would pull him away, so it seemed to him like we were vying for his attention (when in reality we were saving each other).
After the VIP we made him tip the girls on the stage and buy more drinks (this being a club with almost no tipping culture, and drinks at €25 each).
We didn't make a phenomenal amount of money, but for a quiet Monday we did pretty damn well and it was all down to teamwork :)

I'm fairly new and have not established regulars yet. Yesterday I managed to get a dance from almost every guy who walked through the door. I was on a roll. I looked beautiful and I knew it. Today started out badly probably due to my negative outlook. I woke up late and didn't make it to work on time. I didn't feel great about myself. I didn't do as well as I would have liked but two girls did worse than me. I have to assume that it probably had a lot to do with my attitude not the way I looked. I was wearing the same outfit, same make up same everything! I HAVE TO THINK positive. I just have to let it go. I'll make money. I'm going to make more money than any of the girls in my club, Watch and see :]

I broke my own personal record!!!
It was a couple of weeks ago but I couldn't get excited as we had to wait for all the money to go through the system (my bosses had to give copies of the receipts and his ID etc to the police) and I wasn't sure how much commission they were going to give me (it goes down if a waitress helped sell) but they gave me my full share as they recognised that I'd had to dance for this guy non stop for nearly 6 hours!!!
I'm a very happy bunny right now :)

I took on a second club last week and money seems to be a little better. New venue seems to be helping.

It has been tough lately, but this weekend I went to Connecticut to work, which I've never done before, because I always stick to my own club. It was a nice surprise, and I was shocked that I only had to work a few hours to make what it takes me twice that to do in my usual club. It was just nice to know that the money is definitely out there!!
And thank you for this thread it's very uplifting!!

I think every night is a positive money night. You know what's not positive? Going to school for 6 years to become an accountant and then having to set a budget for your shopping trip to target. AND knowing that with your automatic yearly raises you won't have to worry about that anymore IN 5 YEARS. If I only made $200 every night and then had just one good night a month I'd still be doing so much better than a legit job.
I'll admit that I work my butt off, I don't rely on the hosts, I don't take breaks, I don't sit on the floor talking to other girls, and I talk to every single customer in the place with the enthusiasm of the very first one, and even if they clearly don't want me there I try to charm them. My method usually works for me. I think if you just really really don't care what they think of you it's so much easier to make money. I know I'm expected to treat this job like I'm only doing it until I get to do what I really want, but I actually really like it & when I'm too old to do it I'll talk about it fondly. Well, most of it.

Your post was awesome, very uplifting. I think that many girls expect to make money that was prevalent in the early 2000's, especially us who have been dancing awhile. We see on the news that businesses have had to learn how to be flexible to survive, and we are no different. Before we used to work 3 days a week to make at least $1500 and we get pissed if we don't still make $500 p/s. We still can make that money but we just have to be more flexible, willing to put in those extra days and hours.

I am glad this thread was started because I was starting to get sick of reading how much girls AREN'T making. It was giving SW a very negative vibe. As I get closer to the end of my dancing career in a few years I'm reminded how lucky we are to have this job. Be thankful - gratuity goes a long way to changing your mindset and changing your money.
