SS is... you know, what you'd expect. It's not cloaking something sort of insidious in innocuous nomenclature, right?true. the phrase "fantasy" or "support" would a more appropriate example of doublespeak.
No I know - I lost a word here, but what is the word for examining the use of seeming unrelated words or phrases and the connection to whatever thing they describe?sort of like a lexicologist?

If you look at #7 you can see specific downward pressure on safe encounters (it was what was on my mind when I responded to punk's last post).sure, that's the implicit subtext. although, the explicit statement is true as well. it's an attempt to keep grade inflation somewhat in check among other things.
My understanding is that the TER board can have a really significant influence on one's professional life as an escort, particularly on the west coast.well, it can be the 800lb gorilla. however, escorts don't have to get involved with TER. in fact, most probably don't and use other avenues to market and promote themselves.

I'm still kind of teetering so to speak. As I mentioned in an earlier post I'm currently happily enjoying repeat business in the club here (HERBITCH) and might I add that my favourite and I are having excellent rapport at the moment (HERATM).<snip>will you stop worrying about it. you're canadian. if you and jenny are typical example of canadian males and females. you're going to be some woman's biatch until she drives you to an early grave. see? you have nothing to worry about.

Okay. I never use the term fantasy... and I think support is nice. Just because the pinkies don't like you doesn't mean that they are not supportive.
sure, that's the implicit subtext. although, the explicit statement is true as well. it's an attempt to keep grade inflation somewhat in check among other things.
Well... the grade inflation part seems fairly benign. It's the other explicit part that demands that high grades require a compromise on safety that perturbs me. You know. Feminists. Easily perturbable. Although my mum doesn't have particularly strong feminist sympathies and she agrees. Moreover she thinks it is very short sighted for customers to be acting in concert to exert downward pressure on the safety of their own experience. I don't think she fully believes in it, actually.

I love that word...Biatch...it's fun to say out loud. I'm going to see how many times i can use that word at work tomorrow. I'll report on that.
Now, It's probably fair to characterize me as a typical Canadian dude, but saying Jenny is a typical Canadian woman certainly honours Canadian women in general. That's a fine compliment Mr. P.
If I seemed to be worrying about anything, it is entirely due to my lack of skill in conveying by word, the image of a tongue planted firmly in a cheek.

Well...
The other day this girl dressed in very provocative clothing approached me at a bar and said "Hey baby, you want to Party?" I think "Party" is some kind of code-word. I think she was DEMANDING that I go with her and do something ILLEGAL.
What really pisses me off is her DEMAND left me powerless to say NO THANKS. The heartless bitch, and her lust for money over powered my will. The use of a code-word, "Party", leaving me helpless and unable to choose between my desire to party, and the risk of being jailed for illegal activity.
Of course I am just a helpless Male, and what with these evil Women running around putting these DEMANDs and thoughts in to our heads, what are we suppose to do? So I feel really bad that I wanted to "Party" but it is not really my fault that I did something illegal and risked my future. It's really that evil Woman's fault for DEMANDING me to spend money on something illegal, and tricking me with code words.
X
p.s., I really did want to say "no" but the way she tricked me, my lust for party won, but you know that is not really my fault that because if she had just not tried so hard to fullfull her lust for money, I wouldn't have succumbed. You know, I really think she could have just had sex with me for free, and then it would not have been illegal and I'd not feel bad today that forced me to do something I really didn't want to do.

X,
Your response was way too long for me to read. Why all of this culpability and victimization talk towards me? I'm not Jenny, we are separate individuals with some divergent beliefs.
Besides, I even if I do agree with Jenny, I wasn't talking about the "patriarchy" forcing these women to give condomless blow jobs. Rather, just market demand, which happens to be men, who happen to have a different sexual biology from women. Thuse, these equality comparisons of your make no sense. Especially since you consider yourself an evolutionary biologist type.
And not all escorts see multiple men per day. Not all johns are married. The risk is still higher for the woman, because she is putting an external organ INSIDE internal tissue. Even the mouth counts.
That being said, I bet that a lot of johns have given their wives herpes because of the BBBJ. I hope that everyone feels proud of themselves.

Um... just for the record (whatever personal, private records you might be keeping on the matter) - neither was I. I mean, that doesn't mean we have to be in agreement; women can still disagree even if no patriarchy is involved.

Yes, well, the whole paid for sex thing is a not a simple clean cut issue for me. I have a lot of mixed feelings about it including the one you brought up above about bringing home diseases and infecting one's SO.
Unfortunately both men and women are out there doing some really dumb things, and there doesn't even need to be an exchange of money for people to put themselves, their SOs, and their partner (paid for or not) at risk.
Let me put it like this - I think we have to expect that to some degree people are going to take risks, whether it is for money or sexual pleasure, or whatever reason, the messages regarding unprotected sex just aren't going to be absorbed by everyone. Women blaiming men or men blaiming women is a waste of time and pointless (what I was really reacting to was watching this thread turn into yet another Jame's thread about evil bad men, good/innocent/victim women versus say, let's treat both male and female adults as responsible for their choices). We can teach people about sexual responsibility, but unfortunately some men and some women are going to ignore it and do what feels good, or what pays the most, etc.

Another member here, who has been missing for a while, jokingly suggested that Jenny is really a dude pretending to be a Female poster... long story shortened... he jokingly suggested his name was "James"... Another James thread then is one derailed from the original topic, and turned into one about why men are bad, responsible, and manipulative vs women who are innocent, good, and not really responsible because men make them do things. See? Kind of a variation of the good old "What are Little Boys Made Of?" nursery rhyme:

Yes. Declaring you to be ironic is a horrible characterization. I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. You're right - if only my father hadn't molested me I wouldn't be prone to these outbursts. Okay seriously (because I know everyone takes me very seriously); the whole sterilization of the retarded thing is a terrible smear on history of Western Canada. There were actual government programs in place; third parties could request a sterilization and I don't even think the person needed to be informed of the procedure. If it makes you feel better about it though, the vast, vast majority of sterilees were women.

And I don't always have an excuse. On occasion I just apologize and on occasion I say "yeah, and so? You're hardly in a position to complain, are you?" It's just that some behaviours aren't legitimately comparable outside your weird agenda. I see how "reality" interfering with your agenda could seem like an excuse to you.
hypocrite? no. i'm saying you're a fraud. you know, a con man, swindler, sham, bill of goods, etc. you're not Emily Post.
No. I think I'm funny. Remember?
however, feel free to continue to attempt to double-talk me to death and proclaim how uptight canadians are about politeness and the courtesy, but i'm not buying it from you. it's time to put this myth to sleep, Miss Manners.
I find it funny that you quote my satiric posts about polite canadians as evidence that I'm lying about joking. I mean you're using my jokes to prove I'm not joking about something else. Hyperbole, deprecation and satire - it's what makes me, me.
LOL..no need for token exposition to protect your street cred. you being a fraudulent biatch isn't breaking news to me. besides, i should thank you. you unwittingly gave me a gift. so, thank you.
Dude - seriously. You need a hug. FBR's online. He'll look after you.
ETA: (By the way - if it was unclear - that was another joke. I don't think FBR will actually come to your house and hug you. I'm not trying to commit him to a homosexual experiment with you - just in case later on you you accuse me of sexually harassing him and try to use that to infer that I have no right to object to being harassed or assaulted by random, non-paying customers.)

Actually FBR, I've been trying to catch up by reading as much as i can here. I know there are quite a few of you who go back several years. And this has been a famous ongoing battle.
I suppose it's old hat for you. I'm diggin' it though.
On another note, I'm watching that OTC thread with interest too. I'm keen to hear what happens with the new girl.

Yawn again. "You're a bitch, you're a bitch, women are bitches, strippers are whores, shut up and bend over, why hasn't some man removed your head yet..." Haven't heard that one before from you.okay, but unlike you. i'm not claiming to be comedian, etiquette expert or that my posts haven't been offensive on numerous occasions. then again, i don't quite have the hang of double-talking to convince someone that i'm Don Rickles or Emily Post.
And I don't always have an excuse. On occasion I just apologize and on occasion I say "yeah, and so? You're hardly in a position to complain, are you?" It's just that some behaviours aren't legitimately comparable outside your weird agenda. I see how "reality" interfering with your agenda could seem like an excuse to you.true. you do apologize on occasion, but only after you get your hand caught in the cookie jar and only after an attempt to bury someone under about 20 pages of double-talk and excuses or when you're starting to really look like a uber-biatch. and after all that, we're talking about a low percentage proposition considering the level of biatchiness. i'm not etiquette expert such as yourself, but an apology is a simple act not a bureaucratic system. either you know when to do it or you don't. obviously, you're totally clueless.

I'm sorry - I thought we were talking about this occasion? When did every occasion that has ever been come into play?
then again, i don't quite have the hang of double-talking to convince someone that i'm Don Rickles or Emily Post.
I don't know what you're talking about here. All I said was that I was funny. So actually - I think you've got the double talking down - or for it to be "down" do people have to actually fall for it?

Again - no idea what you are talking about here. I think you're confused.
canadians as evidence? funny, i never said that.

Right there. I made a joke about Canadians being polite; you introduced as evidence of double talk. You do realize that this is all written down, right? And it was fairly recent and easy to find?
oh, that's right. double-talk. hell, if you want evidence just take a look at the posts between you and xdamage. Ha. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Ha.
That was a good one, punk.
And FBR - eew.

hbit wasn't a discussion. it was an exercise. it's like dealing with a mule. due to it's nature, a mule sometimes forgets it's place in the natural scheme of things. so, you have to hit it over the head with an heavy object as a reminder. a 2x4 or block of concrete will do.

So Mr P, what you are saying (I'm paraphrasing here) is that Jenny is mule-like in her determination to make a point, or refute an argument? And you sort of admire that? (again I'm paraphrasing) ;)

Fine, it will have to be me then. Looks like I'll be doing the dirty work again. That's ok, Ukrainian revenge is far more brutal and painful than the Canadian version.,
