I've been using a hospital grade pump and spent a lot of time with the lactation consultants in the hospital and I still haven't had much luck. We give her the little bit I manage to get but it's definitely not enough. She'd starve if I stopped supplementing with formula.
Oh well. Sucks, but she's tolerating the formula well once we switched her to the soy based kind.
And thanks! We consider ourselves very fortunate to have her, especially since she's so well behaved. I bet a lot of moms will hate me for this, but if we didn't wake her up to feed her she'd sleep through the night already!

You definitely are amongst the lucky ones! Kembra is just now starting to sleep through the whole night. It feels like torture being slapped in the face and kicked at 4am all the time. :O Ahhh the things we do for love...
It's great that you are still giving her some expressed breast milk. 4 ounces a day is enough to provide her with all the antibodies she needs! And believe me, it is really great protection from illness. There have been a few times when Jess and I got really sick and Kembra only had a tiny sniffle because she was being protected by my milk! I wasn't suggesting at all that you take her off the formula suddenly. That would be really dangerous! There is a way to , but I haven't been able to do it because my supply is so low right now. This is my personal goal. We'll see. It's exhausting, I know.

That's her snowsuit! She lives in it. We're not sure why she likes it so much but we're hoping she outgrows this phase before she outgrows the suit or we're going to be in trouble. She absolutely refuses to sleep unless she's strapped into her carseat wearing it. In fact, she's in there right now. We just tug the hood down over her eyes during the day and she's good to go.

We have to dress them in animal suits now, before they get to the "Mommy, I don't want to wear that. It's embarrassing" stage.
Ah, the cuteness of helpless infants. I'm stoked for when Ash is old enough to fit into her donkey suit.
Yes, that's right. A sweatsuit with donkey ears and a donkey tail. It's the greatest thing I ever saw in my life and my mom totally rocks for passing it down to me. Apparently it used to be MY donkey suit...but there's no incriminating pictures...yes...no pictures....*shifty eyes*
