I would be okay with making $300 per shift at the club I am dancing at right now. It's pretty low key club, customers are cool (a lot more pleasant ones vs. assholes), 4-5 hour shift maximum & no mileage what so ever. I'm totally okay with that.

Not me. It would certainly pay my bills and then some (everything) but I'd always be left wanting more.

If I regularly made $300, I'd be pretty happy :(

You guys are really gonna make me cry. I didn't even know how to reply to this thread for a bit because I was so touched. Both by Alexxa's story and the wonderful compliments people have given me on my ability to grow, be admired and *gasp* be an inspiration. Such a far cry from who I was, I never thought I'd inspire a soul. And here, a lovely bunch of beautiful girls who have seen the changed in me are proud of me and happy for me... it just feels so wonderful and..I'm crying. Damnit! I didn't want to reply at first because I felt it was detracting from the thread - but I had to say thank you to everyone on this site who has contributed to my growth and experiences.

I don't think I'd be who I am today without stripperweb to support me and beat me with a rotting fish when I screwed up. You guys were nice, you guys were mean - but it was always because you cared. <3

I love happy threadjacks. :P

Isn't it funny how influence works? I went to work yesterday and right when I made $300 I went home. In my head I was like, okay, SW says this is okay...I can go home now. I'm such a dork. I'm not blaming this thread, I might have not made anymore anyway, it was kind of dead - but I wonder if this thread would have said that $500 is average maybe I would have stuck around...

Hmmm I would be ok with a $300 dollar shift I wouldn't complain but then I remind myself that I only work 2 or 3 hours .

I wouldn't be happy with a $300 average, but I would be ok with it.
Somewhere around that figure is my dividing line between a respectable night and a bad night.

on a weekday im ok with it. on a weekend i'd be PISSED.

Agreed. Plus OK is the word, I def would not be happy with it. Yes I realise it's good in comparison to other jobs but considering what we do, we deserve a shitload more. Saturday nights I would expect even triple that amount and be upset if I didn't get a least double that amount.

I'm not happy with $300. If it's really slow I'd be cool with it, and it's never BAD to go home with $300, but I'm definitely not happy with $300 a night. I don't even get excited about breaking $1k LOL

I would be pissed, and I have been pissed, because I've not been doing well.

With the club I work at now... I'm paying the house WAY more than I've had to pay anywhere else... so I'm pretty much downright pissed off if I leave with $300.

I need at least $500 to be okay... $700 to be satisfied...
I'm not happy no matter what I make... It'll never be enough. Lol.

I work a 7 hours shift and when I make $300 i'm usually a little disappointed. I expect $450 on a week day and $600 or more on a weekend.

But honestly...lately it's been a little slow at my club, so $300 doesn't sound so bad on a slow night.

That's how it's starting to get at my club.
SLOW SLOW SLOW.

There are maybe 3 other girls and I who always walk out with decent money, and everyone else seems to be walking around going "have you done a dance yet?"

Id be happy with it...but I work at a small club, with medium mileage and the same people in and out.

$300 dollars was an average shift when i first started, and i was very happy with that. Now i would probably be pretty upset, but it really depends on the day of the week, club I'm at, hours i work, and how hard i work.

$300 a shift is decent money. If a dancer is working this like a regular job, $300 a night is $6000-$7000 a month. It's not what you make a night, but per month that matters.

It's not a phenomenal shift, but nowadays in many clubs, many girls have multiple nights of making waaaay less than $300 a night.

The key in this business is to work regularly so that the slow, medium and good nights all balance themselves out.

Plus if you took an earnings average AFTER tip outs in all clubs in the country, I would bet a weeks income that the median dancer earnings per night is LESS than $300 nowadays.

thats how i am.. money that used to make me excited is standard now, now that i figured out i can make it. i dont get excited no matter how much i make.. and i dont like it. on one hand, its good. im never happy and want to push myself farther. on the other, i should be happy with what im making because i know its above average!

When I started dancing in 2000, $300 = C (if I were to grade it)
When I quit dancing in 2006, $300=B

I don't really know what that means, and I am not sure why I graded it that way. For a weeknight though, $300 was... decent. Nothing to be thrilled about but sufficient.
I always got excited about breaking 1k though. During 2001/2002 a grand was pretty much a guarantee on a double shift. <sigh> I miss those days.

I'd be pretty happy with $300 at home. The main reason I'm kind of dreading going back to work in LA is that I know its going to be close to impossible to do that.

I used to get pissed at only pulling 300 bucks but lately i'll take it...

Ditto over here. I used to think $300 was a shit night but considering I walked with $100 on Monday and I worked my ass off, I will take $300 with a smile.

This thread is making me keep looking for a new club. I came home with freaking $20 on Sunday.

$300 used to be an average to below average night for me. Now I'd be happy with it. And I've actually gotten better looking and became a much better hustler from when I first started out, but I've noticed clubs around here have gotten a lot less busy.

I don't know if it's been brought up or not, but I think it really depends on your location in the country. I wouldn't think of $300 as good money in a club in NYC, but maybe a small town, where the price of living is lower..then yea.

With the way things have been going on in my state, $300 is "livable" for me. I'm not gonna rub it in anyones face. Cause as much as I hate to admit it, there are just times when no matter how hard I hustle, I don't break $100. It all evens out. I like to make a monthly goal. That keeps me from stressing out to much.

Awww... I'm :'(. I work in NYC and I have been averaging $200 as of late. I think it has to do with housefees and such. I end up paying a lot out, taking not much home. $300 would be nice.

I'm sorry..didn't mean to make you :'(. I was just using NYC as an example. Some people in there thread aren't cool with $300, but I know for alot of girls in my club they are "cool" with just making $100.

Hopefully you will be overlycompensated this weekend!

300 is ok with me. under that i'm pissed. i have better nights but 300 is not crap money.
two or three year ago i would be disappointed. today, not at all.

clubs in fl have been going downhill for the last 2 or so years for money. i suspect most of the clubs in the country have too.

Well said CK!!!

What would be a great living in this area, is shitty in others.

What would be great in others would damn near be royalty in this one.

Let's face facts, in my area if you are making 36K a year or more, you are middle class and high on the hog, lol. Anything over 50K and it's upper middle, lol.

36K = 175/shift working 4 nights a week.
50K = 240/shift working 4 nights a week.

The average in this area is 19K. That averages out to less than $100/shift working 4 nights a week.

No matter if you have a great night or a shitty night, it's still more money than you came in with and we should all be greatful for what we are making, since it could be MUCH MUCH worse for much longer hours/less pay/more stress.

I won't hit 300 today, but I'm doin' time on a day shift. So I can get the better shifts. Yup Portland clubs sometimes work this way! Fuck. Sigh.

Depends on how long the "shift" is. For my 6 hour weekend night shift, I would be pissed because I know I can do better then that. On a 4 hour weekday shift though, especially if the club was somewhat slow, I'd be ok with it.
