Mine's a country boy. So different from anyone I've ever dated. He's yummy and I love him to pieces.

Me and a Liverpool musician are currently trying to hold onto what we had while I was there on vacation. I won't hold all my hope on it, but I'm not willing to give up as long as he isn't. Helps that I'm moving there once I'm finished with college.....whether we're still "together" or not:p

Recently I realized that for the last couple of months I've been really happy, and I'm just going with it. Even after a month ago the lawyer told me he knocked up his colleague (and it turned out he's not gonna be a daddy), I still went on with my life. Let myself feel some disappointment, no more than was proportionate for someone I'd dated for only a month, but I didn't shed a tear, there was no tailspin of any kind.

Sometimes I miss being in love, but right now I value my freedom more.

I have a couple of people that are playmates right now, but I just don't want to get into an "ownership" situation. It's not even just about me getting hurt, I don't want anyone I date to get hurt either by wanting more than I can give right now, and I have had to push a few guys away early on that I just wasn't that "into".

I'm sure that'll change eventually, but for right now I feel really good and fulfilled, and it's extremely gratifying to know it really is coming from within and has nothing to do with a romantic relationship.

Didn't mean to get all Deepak Chopra on y'all. Carry on...

I know the poll leaves something to be desired... It's always hard to characterize people in a few words or less! Those of you who have been following the thread in Custy Convo know where this is coming from. I was just wondering if my experiences were typical. It seems like a lot of the strippers I know are the biggest geeks I've ever met, and of course, they tend to date geeks, too. I know that most of our custy's probably assume that we date either a)jocks, b)metrosexuals, c)sugar daddies, or d)drug dealers. I don't think that's the case...

My fiancee is a geek and an artist (writer). He sells computers, does tech support, & is a gadget junkie. My ex's (from most recent) are: a librarian, a writer, a mechanic, and a plumber. So I tend to go for the blue-collar, the geeks, and the artists. I was mostly curious to see if my preferences are common or uncommon in Stripper-land.We've had these kinda discussions before and overwhelmingly, SW strippers date alot of geeks. But then, WE are generally pretty geeky - we do spend a good chunk of our free time on an internet chat board... ;D

I don't think we represent a good cross-section of all strippers though. By far most strippers I encounter are not geeky and don't date geeks. Most strippers I've ever been familiar with have always dated losers :-\

Awww.... thanks SexKitten and Vyanka!
The boy would blush if he read what I wrote about him, he doesn't realize what a great package he is ;D

Also, what is with so many of us and geeky types? Most of the girls I work with date losers, just like Bridgette pointed out earlier.

A metrosexual LOL. He likes shopping as much as I do, buys expensive skin-care products and feels comfortable around our gay male friends. This is my firs metro guy and I do like it although I miss some of the more jock characteristics at times that previous boyfriends have had.
He gives great foot massages!

If he didn't fit so neatly into that category I would have put artist coz he is a graphic designer.

Huh. I gotta pick other---he stands out for being attractive, manly, very fit and in shape, he does love football and plays golf semi-pro.....BUT he reads all the time, extremely smart, he treats me like a queen (when we're together, hehe it's been 3 years.) intensely political, liberal, works for himself, great hustler, %100 sober, great teacher and always cheerful, patience of a saint. Not a meathead at all.
