Ah yes, how could I forget that crucial bit of info regarding table dances...that shit is whack. When I worked there last year a large chunk of my take home pay came from doing table dances in the main room. Maybe some girls didn't like doing them, but I did. For ten dollars you would give a guy or a girl a dance - maybe they were intimidated by the LD room, maybe they were buying the dance for a friend and wanted to watch. It was free advertisement and you ended up making money off the people that were ogling you. Often they would tip you extra. Those days are gone...you can buy the wristband, but most girls were boycotting it and the couple that would buy them didn't seem to be making a lot of money off it, probably because customers aren't expecting table dances any more.

Those fines sound bad but there is some leeway. They're not going to fine you it's two minutes past five and you're running through the door.

None of the girls I spoke with seemed to like staying at the dorm. A lot of them went for motels or friends' houses.

Interesting. I might buy a wristband after I get a dance. Even two table dances makes up for the cost, and the advertisement of doing dances on the floor can net me more money.

I think the missed stage set fine is really hefty, though. Do you have to go on stage if you're in the LD room or VIP?

No prob! I always like reading club reviews and it is fun to report back. If you end up going there let us know how it goes. :) Unfortunately, since I walked of the job, I am probably not welcome back... :-\

The wristband thing seems like a good idea in theory...if you buy it you will most likely break even. It's just annoying to have to explain the concept of a table dance to all the dudes you talk to.

Yeah, I plan on not mentioning the table dance at all unless they seem hesitant about getting a lap dance.

I lived in Fargo briefly and it is a sucky place to live IMHO especially in the winter time. Can't say anything about the club but don't expect to have a good sight-seeing experience in Fargo.

Yikes - I must say I got some education on how much you ladies are "excessively" charged for things. I'm sure these fees don't help the Northern (Club Northern now I guess) attract new dancers nor keep existing dancers. I'm ignorant so I guess I believe employees/independent contractors should be paid and not vice-versa.

I used to shoot pool down in the basement bar every once in a while and for pool league. We would often head upstairs after league. I'm not sure but I believe the Northern increased the cover charge for customers by double I've heard (?) as well. I'm a cheapo so the high drink costs also keep me away from the Northern. I actually don't go out to bars that much in general nowadays.

Fargo recently passed a "no-smoking" ban in public places which includes bars. Perhaps that is affecting the Northern's business? I don't smoke so I enjoy the ban when I do head out around town.

Fargo really is a nice town to live in (contrary to other opinions here). The people are nice - the city and surrounding areas are rapidly growing - low crime rate - low cost of living - Fargo is on the Minnesota border for quick trips to the lakes - far above average schools - low unemployment rate - semi-pro sports teams - multitude of dining/shopping options - etc.....

I figure I should update.

Things have been really hit or miss at that club lately. There is also one girl in particular who keeps breaking the dance rules and yet hasn't been fired, so I try to avoid working when she works because I don't want to deal with people complaining about me not doing what she does. There's also been a bigger amount of young douche lately, probably because school is out. Most of them don't spend money, but will waste your time asking about tattoos etc. The problem is that sometimes there's a young guy amongst them who is really nice and will spend a bit, so when you're in super-hustle mode it makes sense to walk the gauntlet.

Oh, and since they redid the floors I've found that my body feels worn and sore a lot more than before. The floor is really hard, like cement, so you don't get much cushion when you walk.

They redid the VIP room recently, and it looks fabulous. I hope they redo the dance room soon, because the carpet in there is gross. Ditto for the DR. But most of the girls there are still nice, so that's a plus.

The Northern is hosting the 2013 Miss Pole Champ North competition on January 31st. If you are a pole dancer, that is the time to go. If you are not a pole dancer, I wouldn't plan on getting a spot on the schedule around that time as the out of town girls are already filling it up.

Hope that is of some help?

Awesome!
So, I imagine they have girls there that work there that live there. Are they also required to work that grueling scheadule?

I am honestly not sure. I have only dealt with the features and traveling girls. This is the first time that they have done this competition and only 1/2 the girls entered are local. I imagine that they book so many traveling girls because they don't have many local dancers though so I am not sure what schedule they hold the local girls to?
