OK, help--even with two of the stretchy things I am knocking over the standup bag too much. Is there a man-shaped standup bag that cannot be knocked over?? It would be worth a lot of money to me to get one, but I am getting skeptical...

I worked out in a gym that had free standing heavy bags....I'm not sure if they had sand or water in the bases. On a carpeted floor, it was easy enough to work the thing all the way across the room, switch sides and work it back to the starting point. I think they are hard to weigh down enough.
concrete maybe?

Done, sorry...
I talked to a guy last night who was telling me about a friend who welded or fastened rebar or steel bars to the base in an 'X' pattern, then covered them with sandbags. That would work, sure--the center of gravity being higher would be compensated for--but the sandbags would be in the way you would think.

<<<do Tae bo I have tons of the videos including the ones with resistance training and weights. I've lost a lot. I know some people say it's not harcore and such, but it works. I also walk. I read a study somewhere that swimmers tend to hang onto body fat longer.
Oh and working your arms gently with weights while saunaing does wonders for tonig them. I mean don't work hard, but I do my forearms, pecs and other muscles in the sauna. I am seeing a huge difference. Now to uncover the abs of steel I know are under the layer of adipose tissue.
