Skinny for me. I don't like the bulk of too much muscle. Though, the funny thing is, I want my own arms to be a bit more muscular.

I like skinny but muscular. My boyfriend is like that. He's tall and skinny but perfectly manly. He's soooo strong, he makes me feel dainty.

The man Vyanka posted with the "V" was a prime example of an absolutely perfect body, imo.

My boyfriend is super skinny (like 150 pounds) and has a lot of muscles but not in that big built up way and I love it.
Same here. I like skinny guys that are still defined. Mmmm. (runs off to find sexy boyfriend and fuck him)

Can I get a witness?! The boy is not tall, but he's got the nice arms/shoulder with the little buddha belly. I've dated the tiny guys and I just feel HUGE around them. Silly, but true.

Yes, yes, and... anywho. }:D My own man is about 150 pounds, with defined muscle but not a meathead by any means. I am 5'1", 103 pounds.. he is definitely bigger than me and taller by nearly a foot, but I won't ever feel smothered or too smooshed. :)

I can't do skinny unless they already have a really big frame. What I really like are guys who look like they used to be super athletic/muscular, maybe a few years back, and now they're just kinda... comfortable. A little belly is no problem for me, but a lack of shoulders is.
ETA... although... I had this large-but-skinny boyfriend for awhile who got super muscular for awhile. It was awesome. It was like getting a new dude. Like, "oh, who is this sexy meathead man in my bed and what did you do with _____?" I definitely enjoyed the novelty aspect of that.
Maybe I just like everything, as long as I can't break it in half with my thighs.

Amen to that! Gotta have a nice chest and arms. I want a guy who makes me feel tiny and feminine. Love those strong, protector types.

This is fun, but is there a point to questions like these? I have a certain level of muscle mass and fat mass to me, but I'm not going to lose weight so Rose would like me or gain weight so Yek would like me. I get the impression that oftentimes these questions are, "Can I be attractive, the way I am?" And I'm sure the answer is yes, to someone out there.
Or am I just being too grouchy? New poll: "Sweet guys or grouchy?"

I like them tall and muscular, with broad shoulders and big, strong arms. That being said, the gym rat is a total turnoff to me. But my ex and current both do calisthetics every day (pushups, dips, etc), hit the gym a few times a week, and eat a healthy diet.
But they don't get upset and cry if they miss a day at the gym, or if I make them eat ice cream with me.

My exbf had a sexy ass body, ate like shit and barely went to the gym due to working his crazy hours at his corp. job.
He had a football player type of body. Naturally big muscles, arms, shoulders, and wide back, strong lean legs, a soft stomach(bit of a belly, it was cute) and a HUGE a-hem. ;D 6'5" tall, all man! I use to tell him all the time how sexy his body was to me, he was a bit self concious over it though. IDK why.
*Sigh*

Seriously, Jay, you're a good-looking cat. I was surprised by that. You're right though, these threads are all about personal validation, and that's fine. Sometimes we all need it!

Nearly everyone can be attractive the way they are. They should just worry about being the best version of themselves (I don't mean physically).
It cracks me up when guys come on here and ask if we ever date average guys. Yes, I've dated a guy who later became a model, but I didn't marry him. I married my sweet, funny, smart husband who happens to be about 260lbs. He is my teddy bear and I love him more than anything. ;)

CE's Dating Rule No. 16: "Never date a woman who can bench press more than me."
Given that my upper body is weak as a kitten, this rule is a problem for me.

Thanks for your responses. The reason for this thread is that elsewhere on the net I am discussing how important or not muscles are to women, and if some women are actually turned off by over-developed guys and prefer skinny. In addition to the more important things like nice face, confidence, personality, access to good drugs, of course.
As a definite 'skinny/wiry/Iggy Pop/6 foot 150 lbs' guy who has always been very successful with the ladies (including a couple of members of this site until they got banned for fighting over me) I am of the opinion that while there are a few women who like really built gym guys, it's nothing like how the media would have you believe. If they want to portray a 'hunk' on TV or ads they will use often use someone much more developed than is attractive to most women. Meanwhile a sizable proportion of women actively prefer skinny, ranging from Johnny Depp to David Bowie to Marilyn Manson.
When I started this thread I didn't know how it would play out, but around half of the respondents have expressed a preference for 'skinny,' - though not 'scrawny' or 'with the body of a 10 year old'. Still, the responses on the other forum after reading your posts include:
'Just to all you skinny guys who are reading this and feeling good, when girls say skinny, they're talking skinny and toned like Usher. they're not talking about skinny guys with no definition.'
'Just pointing out that "skinny" to a lot of girls is someone like Ryan Reynolds, who is cut as hell and pretty muscular but not like a wrestler. Girls generally dont understand how hard it is to be that big so that's still skinny to them.'
So if some of you pro-skinnies could confirm that what you meant when you said 'I like skinny' was ''I like muscley like Usher' that might clear things up.
Maybe I should have done a poll. You've done a good job of expressing your tastes as far as I can see, but lets break it down into a few body types and you say yay or nay. Which of these statements do you most agree with?
1. That wrestler/roid rage body gets me everytime. My ideal man would be The Hulk The Chippendales are my ideal body type, with or without the dickie-bow ties.
2. Built but not over-the-top please. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, or your average Men's Health cover guy, or secretly David Hasselhoff in that avatar.
3. Just a regular beefy guy, Ben Affleck without the slightly retarded face, or Brad Pitt. Yum!
4. Lean and wirey like a swimmer or dancer. Definite muscle definition, six-pack etc, but not too bulgey or lardy.
5. Skinny-Berlinny David Bowie long and lean. No body fat, smaller waist the better but still v-shaped and not 'scrawny' or weak-looking.
6. I'm basically a pedophile and like Orlando Bloom or boys that look like they hit puberty last week.
7. Man-Bear-Pig. Gimme gimme!

^^ Exactly.
Also, I don't think anyone would call Usher skinny. I'd call him medium build and ripped.
BTW - Awesome way of letting us know you've nailed a few strippers. Fighting over you huh? You really know what we like in a man here. ::)

To be honest I just picked this site because it was the only female based forum I'm still a member of. I could've just as easily asked a bunch of female financial analysts.
I guess as strippers you might be considered the type of woman who has options and is not afraid to say what she wants or peddle some man-friendly 'oh it's all about the personality' bullshit.
But I'm not really interested in having any troll-y debate with you, so if you're done with the subject I'm out. Thanks for your help.

I personally cannot stand skinny guys. Worse is those who spend 4 hours a day at the gym and eat every 2 hours. Talk about bad self-image. A total turnoff when guys are too muscular.
The most perfect guys are big and manly.....lots of strength, but too manly to be worrying about stupid shit like a 6 pack. A bit of a gut, big arms and shoulders.
Me too ! I like my man to be manly. He is big and strong. Makes me feel petite and week and feminin. Also I don't like the man to overglove me. Don't steal my thunder ! Im the pretty one. He can be the big one :-*
Also I like my man to be hairy - except on his back. Trimmed beard & a hairy chest :) Hair all over - so manly !!!
Clint Eastwood !!! When he was young/ish :P

Marilyn Manson.
Manson is hot. especially during the Portrait of American Family album....I take back what I said. BUT, I think it's his rockstar status coupled with his eccentricity and intelligence that makes him hot in my eyes? :O
Edward Furlong (when he was younger in his early 20's..he looks drugged up and aged now) is another skinny guy who I find very hot.
Eddie may have put on weight now, but I mean he was skinny when he was hot.
In shape is great. Skinny waif guys are sad and steroidal musclebound guys are so-so. What is better is a guy that takes care of himself and feels good. So I guess happy medium?
