View Full Version : WTF is wrong with NYC Ho's????

I am brand new to the sex industry as an exotic dancer. Let me just say that 3 of the clubs I have been to in and around Queens, expected extras including everything BUT sex for the price of a lapdance. And the supersad part, it wasn't even the dancers who told me this, it was management and in one case, THE OWNER. When he asked me how I felt about extras, I wanted to ask him how he felt about being arrested....but I was too scared that he'd put a hit out on me!
There are clubs in and around the NYC area where that isn't the norm.
While I wouldn't say extras* never take place [never is a very strong word] in Lace in Nyack or Wayne, or in Stilettos in Carlstadt, for instance, they certainly aren't the norm. Just by way of example. In any of these clubs the dancers can make a fairly good income.
*BTW, so we are all on the same page and extra, when I use the word, means an actual sex act. Not something like making contact with a man's groin with your knee, or a quick "accidental" brush with the back of the hand as it gets near "it".

Exactly right! Generally, eastern european and latina girls don't do well as upscale escorts. While they may score a 10 in the looks department, and perhaps also score a 10 in the 'sexual skills' department, they probably only score a 5 in mastery of English ... a 2 in 'upscale' conversational skills / social skills ... and a -1 in the 'future risk factor' department. The latter comprise the essential difference between an upscale escort and a whore.
The upscale market in the NYC area for what you reference above begins at around $500/hr and goes, at the far end, to the moon. Though that is very rare.
There has been a lot of law enforcement activity of late though. Jillian Bradley got knocked out of business, for instance, some time ago. Second Ave Affair much before that. More recently Jason Itzler outfit, New York Confidential. All houses that catered to the bottom of the higher end [$500/hr]. Even Nici is gone [while they specialized in the porn star, model, playmate thing some of their Ladies where in the $1000/hr range].
You'd expect some agency to fill the vacuum. After all there is money to be made. There is, as far as I know, no predominant agency that has stepped in to fill that gap. I would presume it is due to fear of law enforcement activity, what with all the internet stings of late. It has been mostly "webscorts", independent [self-employed] prostitutes with an internet presence, stepping in to service the low end of the high end.

^^^ I would interject that as a result of the recent escort bust involving NY's former governor Spitzer, I would not feel comfortable in any upscale New York City club or escort agency at the moment !!!!! IMHO all sorts of politically motivated investigative activity is now going on, at the federal, state and local level.
However, scuttlebut has it that LI agencies are 'taking up the slack'.

It's funny you should post that because I have posted warnings on other boards saying exactly that. I have a very good source high up in the NYPD who said that there were some active investigations and would be some high-profile busts. We've already seen one with Ms. Davis and Wicked Models. A lot of the better agencies and indies have tightened up and are only seeing regulars or those with the best of references.

I do Photoshop work and I can usually tell if photos are edited. Those are likely not.
Besides that, I find it absolutely hilarious how they state not to ask for oral or full services because "they are not prostitutes."
Because, you know, a "handjob" is just part of a lapdance! *sarcasm* ::)

Yes, one former Penthouse Pet has been doing much business with hers.

I noted that as well, but I have no place to comment.
I "date" any number of dancers who I "help" with bills, shopping, other things, that *I* know are payment for sexual favors. I'm sure they know it too but... [Ah, the but] we both pretend, at their insistence, that what we really are is "friends with benefits".
It borders on delusional, but it makes them happy and that, in turn, makes me happy. So I'm not sticking pins in any one's balloons. I have to be concerned with the ones I count on not popping. :)

I know this is an old thread, but found it when I was looking for something else in the search engine.
These girls must be getting some kind of mental problems as a result. Hooking in general, or hooking for so little, has a price. They either are fed lots of coke & other drugs and alcohol to keep themselves feeling happy, or are severely depressed after all that hooking or are on a lot of antidepressants. I worked at a club where most girls were hooking, and most of them were cokeheads and were on other mood-altering drugs (prescriptions and also drugs) I guess to just deal with it. Women acting like it doesn't take a toll are just in denial. Yes, sometimes you can be in a tight situation, and are trying to get by...but doing that, whether because you're forced into it, or have few options, or just think you won't mind it and will do it temporarily to make quick money then get out of it.....whichever reason it is, it does take a toll. Panic attacks, feeling paranoid during the day, etc. It really does alter your sexuality and mental state...sometimes I wonder if it causes permanent, irreversible damage to one's psyche. I think doing it with someone you know, and like, and feel comfortable and safe with, temporarily to try to get yourself out of a money bind (like a sugar daddy situation), can be the least damaging to yourself. But doing it in a brothel-like situation, with many guys in a day, not choosing who the guy is...I think that can be the most damaging to the girl. There are different levels of it. But I think even if it's of the "highest" level (a very well-educated guy, very kind, sweet, polite, who pays very well, and you actually like him to some degree) can feel ok but it still ultimately doesn't always sit well (like if you know he is married, etc. I think not hooking is the healthiest option.

Try talking to some of the escorts here.

Many of these women have no other choices, and know of no other options.
Just makes me SO aware and SO GRATEFUL of the fact that I can go to work, DANCE and make great money.
I couldn't be in this industry if I had to do more to make my living (personal choice), but that's because I know what else is out there. These women are naive and choiceless.
