You know what's really funny? If I used my real name, no one would believe it anyway!

I tell them my real name is Princess Consuela Bananahammock...they dont ask again after that!

I used to tell 'em my real name was "Luscious"...

I just tell them my name IS my real name and then give them a nickname based off of my dance name-- like, that IS my name but I go by x.

otherwise I tell them it's none of their G-D business.

although, I think I might just start spilling out ridiculous names.

"What's your real name?"

Butch.
Darrell.
Bob.
Arnold.
Jock-o.

I always use "regular" female names as stage names. That way when dipshits ask me that question I can say "that IS my name - why would I use a stagename? not like I'm giving any important info by telling my first name..."

Shuts them up every time. The brighter ones get the underlying point I'm making, and the dumber ones just go with the reverse logic ;D

I hate this question. Why must you know? Why is it so important?

My name is Sunshine.

My real name, is Funshine.

Now let's go have some fun, K?

I read a really cute line here on SW and I use it all the time now.
"So what's your real name?"
"Oh honey, there's no such thing as a real name in here! We left reality at the door. So you can have a stage name too, what would you like?"
Then they spend a few minutes deciding on something clever, (I hear a lot of stallions) and then I make sure to remember it.
Later down the road it becomes like an inside joke when I use their stage name, and makes it easier for subsequent dances.

I just started this, and it gets guys to laugh and shuts them up at the same time. "So, what's you're name?" It's xxxx. "No, really, what's your name?" Okay, it's Pocahontas.

"I don't give out my name to people I don't know. So let's go in the back/get a room, and start getting to know each other. ;) "

AS with everything, I say it with a mischevious wink and smile, and I'd say it at least gets me a dance or two most of the time.

And if they're not going to spend and are just leeches, this line separates the wheat from the chaff, and I know to not waste any more time on them.

Works for phone number requests too. ;)

You know what's really funny? If I used my real name, no one would believe it anyway!Haha. I used to work with a girl who's real name was Unity, and she danced by that for a long time. NONE of the guys ever believed that was her name, so she finally started telling everyone her name was Jessie. When she started dancing by Jessie (even having the DJ announce her as Jessie) all the guys then thought she was SO cool for "getting real" and using her real name. LOL! Guys are so fucken stupid.

2 things- it makes me laugh that the aussie girls are into jess, because there was a movie in the 80's called the man from snowy river that was set in australia. The main female leads name is jessica and the guy calls her "jess" a lot in the movie. (I know someone named after that movie)
And also, this is what I always do when someone is really pushy about this. I learned it on here, but I can't remember what thread/from who, so if anyone knows, feel free to hop in. When someone gets pushy about knowing my real name, I get really close to their ear and whisper "can you keep a secret?" of course they get really excited, and nod and say "Of course I can!!" at this point, you lean back and smile and say "me too!" or sometimes I just say " A girls got to have a little bit of mystery, right?"

So when guys ask me what my real name is and I tell them and they still don't believe me, now that's frustrating!

Ditto !

It's because of the whole "Vanessa the undresser" thing with my name.

In the end, if I have the time/inclination, I use my "put up or shut up" method I've mentioned multiple times before on here and have YET to be called on it after using for 3 years now in many strip clubs:

"Right. If you put $200 on the table right now I will go get my driver's license and show you how Vanessa is my real name."

or

"Right. I charge an up-front fee of $200 in order for me to go to the hassle of fetching my drivers license just so you can see that Vanessa is my real name."

Since it is such a high amount and the MAJORITY of guys who ask this question do not intend to spend a cent in the club... it shuts them up real quick.

I also use it as a way to sell a dance strangely enough..

"Well, it looks like you can't afford the $200 up-front fee, how about we go for a less expensive option and have some fun as well...?"

yet usually in my experience guys who 'argue' with you about what is your real name do not spend money

oh! i nearly forgot.. sometimes (once again it depends on my mood) I turn it around on them.. "Well, I have a strip club name.. what's yours? I don't want to know your real name nor do you need to know mine.. so what is YOUR strip club name?"

or something similar ;)

I'm gonna chime in here and mention to you confused Americans that 'Vanessa' and "Undresser' actually rhyme in this country.

I'm so used to calling myself Vivian Da Silva for the past five years that its second nature. I gave myself a last name for when guys are really persistant. I don't know why but when I give the last name, it seems all the more legit.
I sort of envy girls who have names that are pretty enough to be stage names. My real name is just way too unsexy for me to have ever gotten into using it at work.

When I'm in a silly mood sometimes I tell guys my name is Clamydia. Usually gets a lame laugh... and then there are some that actually think that's my real name, which makes me think sex education in this country has failed.

Once a guy came back a few nights after meeting me with some friends. He tried to act like we had some giant history, and that we were really tight and that he even knew my real name... Yeah Clamydia. His friends had a very good laugh at his expense.

What's funny is we HAVE to use our real names at work. Yes, I work for an ass backwards woman boss. So when guys ask me what my real name is and I tell them and they still don't believe me, now that's frustrating!

That's nuts. I've worked at places where our stage names HAD to sound like "real" names...IE: there wasn't gonna be any naming yourself after cars, or alcoholic beverages, etc. But NEVER did we have to use our real names.

my stage name is currently sydney and this guy asked me what my real name was, so i said, its sydney and he was like yeah right, and i said, well why would i have to make up a name when i have a name like that? he totally believed me haha!

Hehe this thread is funny.

I give guys a fake name. (but only if they've spent money. I totally used the "I charge for that" line last night)

I jokingly told a guy my real name was Fire once. And he seriously believed me:O So I just went along with it and was like, yeah I have hippie parents blah blah blah.

RoseLeigh

I use the name Rose on stage and I've starting telling guys my name is Sister Mary Rose because I come from a good Irish catholic family. }:D At least to the obviously catholic-raised.

Otherwise, dur. I hate those guys. ;D

I don't know what it is, but dancers tell me their real name often. I ask them their name and some of them say, "My stage name is (stage name), but my real name is (real name)." I could never figure why they told me their real name and I didn't even ask!

Like it was said quite often in here, it was probably a fake real name. If they know that their dancer name sounds fake they'll automatically include a less fake sounding name.

Seriously. It's so funny how this entire thread if about fake real names, and yet some guys just DON'T GET IT. It's not just an internet forum thing, guys. Most strippers will have a fake name ready for such occasions. It makes the guys feel special.

Maybe we should let them dream. They certainly don't seem to get the point so if they're going to dream anyway we should just pat 'em on the head and bless their lil hearts.

Curious_George
03-31-2008, 08:57 PM
Nope. They had been dancing for quite some time. College educated, extremely intelligent. They told me their 1st names. Last names came some time after. I guess it's possible they are lying, but they are going to pretty great lengths to keep up the facade (none of which I cared about).

TheTempest
03-31-2008, 09:02 PM
Yeah, they're probably lying. Like 99% probably. It's just not safe to hand out that information so quickly and it seems that it would be unwise for them to do so.

Maybe we should cut these guys some slack.
I use the jokes if I feel like it, but honestly I don't use a fake real name. I don't care if they know my name. (I don't give last name) I would dance by it if I could.
