I think it's hysterical. Also- less of a big deal then LYS thinks it is.
Ajbaer- those are really good points. I'll be sending mine later too probably. Wedding+honeymoon=broke lola!

I was at the mall this am picking up something for work, and was struck by an object that sent off alarms "Buckit wants that, buckit wants that..woop woop woop." So I had to buy it :p

Oh- I wanted to ask- does anyone have an opinion on doing the reveals?
I think whoever gets their gift forst should be able to post it! But if a few people are strongly against it, we won't do that.
so, please let me know, either here or by pm.
thanks!
I'm OK with anything.
I think it would be difficult to receive a package and not post about it right away... :)

ya, it can be hard to figure out what you want, but try! It'll really make it easier on your pal.
maybe now is time for a new interest? Anything you've been wanting to take up?

Reveals as they happen seems most logical. I wasn't for early reveals, but upon further reflection, it's sort of silly to ask people to wait, because then they're over the excitement when they post, and it's less fun.

Take that back. The IRS took $3385 of that to pay off back support that we dont owe so I only got $2800. Ah well, still a good amount for buying for my bucket... if only I knew what to get...
Can someone explain this bucket/walrus thing? Where is this from?! I dont get it!/:O ;D

Read the whole thread! We explained it with visuals and everything! Towards the beginning, I'm pretty sure.
ETA: Okay, I was wrong, it musta been a different one! I'll look to see if I can find it for you, Audrey. It's based off the LOLWalrus...in the proud, LOLcat tradition.

Bridgette wants everyone to know that, though she's not visible on the site anymore, she has NOT flaked from the exchange! Her...erm...walrus (?) will still receive their gift and she hopes that's she'll get some sunshine in the form of a bukkit!
Lola Rose

AL- you should delete that and then message your reciever ;)
so you can make sure she gets the message.
I'd rather lots of smaller things, tbh.

Is it a bad thing to not pay the mortgage and go shopping for a buckit instead?
No...
Didn't think so :)

Yeah, especially when you really like the silly egg shaped piece of wood your gift-giver gives you. ::)

Curious - to everyone
Would you rather have one nice thing like say a Coach purse (or something nice like that) or a bunch of little things?
That really depends on the person! I know a lot of people who would DIE for a Coach purse, whereas I would hate it (I don't carry purses - I use tote bags or backpacks). It really could go either way! But it's the thought that counts, so either way your person would have to be ecstatic.
That said, with all the excitement and partying associated with my bday, I haven't been able to research my new person (although I did look at their wishlist and it seems pretty extensive) or go shopping. But hopefully I will be able to soon!!

Does Australia have opposing seasons from the U.S.? Colored buckets are a pretty popular summer item but that wouldn't be helpful if it's winter down under I guess. I don't know much about that side of the world.

It's coming to winter... so yeah. No colourful buckets. I'm trying to fing a fleuro pink one and a red one... all I can find are MASSIVE silver/copper buckets at antique shops. O_O

Audrey,
I know you posted this question earlier, just can't find it right now. As to whether a person would want one large gift, or several small, I would prefer one large gift. But I'm so happy to get anything that whatever my person gets me I'm so HAPPY for.

I'm half through the shopping, and am in search for a buckit.
I seriously need to join the buckit support group..everywhere I go I'm on buckit lookout. My friends are all like "What is this buckit thing you keep talking about." Oh nothing :)

I know you can find them at places like Dollar General, they always have cheap fun summer toys and paraphernalia. Well, at least they have them in TX where it's summer 9/12 months of the year. ;D

No dollar stores in Aus. Boo. Crazy Clarks is similar but might still have $10 bukkits.

It's only fair to those who sent them early to see their excited bukkits.
