I believe people are inclined to be more civil with one another after meeting IRL. That's why I adore the SW Fests I've attended---with or without an orgy.

I have said this numerous times before but there is an over-saturation of ass kissing -attention craving - post whoring - thread jacking -bitchy - fake arse BS on this site. I don't want to constantly read about "wubbing people and how smexy people are" ALL over the damn site ALL the time esp when it has NOTHING to do with the thread topic at hand. A little love here and there is always good with me but the fake arse pretentious love-fests can be a little over-bearing at times, ya know.
This isn't directed at either one of ya'll btw I have been saying this for a long looong time now.
that's because it's been going on for a long time now. as long as i can remember, which is what, a year and a half? it was just different people doing it before.

I vote solid on the orgy! Mr Madcap approves of that number...

A year in half is not a long time in terms of the site and NO it did not happen in the past to the extent it does now...but whatever...I just skip over it.
I've considered leaving too (or changing my name :-X ) cuz, I hate that people I work with read this site and in turn it can effect my job. My biggest peeve is nonactive members who won't read the forum but stalk my posts (sending me creepy pm's) while contributing nothing.
It was making me paranoid but I've decided to hell with them and am embracing my free speech ;D

the site has been open, what, 6 years? a year and a half isnt that short. but whatever, that isnt the point. the entire time ive been here, ive seen people talking and bitching about cliques and lovey dovey talk, etc. in the past it was about pooka, etc (not calling her out, just pointing it out) and now it's moved on to different people.

Some folks have to delete their profiles due to a relationship and/or work issue. Usually they pop back in again under a new profile name at a future date. It's happened quite a bit, actually. Call out your missed member by starting a thread like "Katrine, where are you...PM me!"
If she is still around, she'll respond if she knows you/trusts you. If you get no response, that means she is gone.:'(
Sometimes people just move on in their lives, and priorities change. Since I've quit dancing I've reconnected with stripping-sisters who have also left the job, but I've lost touch with girls that are still dancing.
I also want to say that if you see gratuitous flirting with PL's please click the little button at the bottom left corner to report the post. It is a private and confidential way to keep your Stripperweb fun and informative. We mods can't be everywhere all the time and frequently rely on you to give us a heads up when a thread or a member is causing a problem.

Theres always a mass exodus after a drama explosion. Usually some members come back after they have cooled off..sometimes they dont. Its sad to see for me because it seems like the troublemakers win....its almost never them that leaves.

It started getting bad shortly before or around the time you joined iirc. Before then it was an occassional thing, but not so prevalent. The one you are mentioning had a few other members too and it is really the first real Clique that I remember. I have had a couple of long-term absences from the site though, so other members may remember some earlier cliques.
The cliques don't really bother me though. They are really just a mild annoyance.

Yeah, this is a concern of mine as well. It's really jarring to have some creepy customer all "I read your blog", and I barely know him, have no idea how he figured that out. But then I said, fuck it, I'll just try to censor myself a little bit more. It's not scaring me away.

Not my intention at all. I like many of our long-term male posters and the rudeness toward you guys is something I've spoke about before. Unfortunately, the ones that are annoying would never even consider that it may be them.

i have noticed a lot of my favorite posters leaving too, but generally don't say anything, i figure they have their own reasons... but i expecially hate it when i see that they've left following a fight with someone on my "ignore" list. haha.. its sad that i have a pretty long ignore list.

Why not start a thread entitled "aussiepunkshocker, I miss you". And ask her to PM you if she is still here under a different screen name.
You may be pleasantly surprised. ;)

I think the people who are talking about the flirting and ass kissing are talking about when it threadjacks otherwise on topic threads. Then when somebody tries to steer the thread back on topic, they get 'chastised' for being a buzzkill.
Something like that?
I know when there's a good thread going and it gets threadjacked with all the sex and flirting talk, yeah, it's annoying. It usually has me moving on to another thread before I put my advice into the thread because I don't want to wade through the OT stuff.
I'm not perfect in the threadjacking aspect, but I try to be more aware of it. Maybe we all could.

Ding, ding, ding, ding!!!!! Exactly!!
I don't mind most threadjacks, most are still talking about another interesting topic. The ones that are purely flirting between 2 people or a small group should be taken to chat. I should not have to wade through pages of that bullshit to make sure I've read all on-topic posts before replying. Certain posts it is suitable for, others it's clearly not.
Also annoying is the fact that it is generally the same 5 or 6 people that do it, and they manage to hijack a huge % of the threads I would otherwise like to reply to. It is also less than nice that when this is mentioned these people act supremely offended, like they are soooo fan-fucking-tabulous that everyone else should enjoy this.

Why can't the "look at me" ones leave? I don't wanna read a kajillion posts of "I'm so cute! Your so cute! Aren't we all so fuckin cute!" The babystrippers sometimes feed the trolls to excess.

OK, I'm ready to get flamed, in the years that I have been here, yes there have been cliques. People just show up, and all of a sudden they are part of a clique.
Also, there has been so much effing drama lately that its sickening. People posting just to say that aren't starting drama, when guess what, they're friggin' starting drama.
In addition, the ass-kissing really has to stop, the whole "I lub you, you lub me, we are clique-y family needs" to effing end as well. While the OP may have had good intentions, its just spiral out of control with people posting for no g-d reason except to get attention and up there post.
While some of you may say G-real why don't you just leave, I'll just say "No" this place was nice without the drama, and it needs to go. If some higher-up needs to leave for people to start acting civilized and like adults then so be it. And if some of you want to leave cuz of all the drama, then make sure you strap the drama-llama to you on the way out.

Sometimes I think I DO the things that are being mentioned here but...nobody ever complains to me? I mean... are we actually PMing these people or talking to these people to tell them the behaviour is out of line or are we just swallowing it and grumbling to bring it out later when the person has NO idea they're doing something wrong?
I, for one, would love to be told when I'm pissing people off so that I know not to do that behaviour again.
It worked for fucktrophy.

Totally agreed. While I come on this site to check things out...it's nowhere near as fun and entertaining as it was a couple years ago. The site seems to be overrun with inane, immature, bitching, fighting, drama and just plain old hostility.
I still check out the site because it's more out of habit than an actual desire to actively participate like I did 12,000 posts ago.
Sad.

I've been around here for about 4 years, and I don't think all the ass kissing started until right up around the time it started getting really bad with customers posting annoying shit all over the site. (this was when they were still allowed to post at will in stripping general, before the sticky went up). Things have not always been the same around here...
On a personal note though, I have taken breaks from this site- a long break when it started to become like "customerweb" and just piss me off in so many threads.
At least the gratuitous customer posting in areas/threads that are supposed to be for the industry people have lessened.
This site has always been, and still is an awesome resource for support and for work advice.
