i just had one come in friday night that has an hour of topless + travel so it pays $300. still only got the one on saturday though. sounds like most of the other girls haven't got much either. ah well.
i went to this dodgy pub today and i'm doing the jug strip there tomorrow evening.
jai - nah adelaide has fuck all clubs. i don't really want to do club work right now anyway, that's kinda why i quit.

$300 is better than nothing. Pays the rent!

^^ part of the rent? how much are you paying per week? *shocked*
I too can relate in re the private party work. I got one gig on Sat however it is (hopefully) going to be a lucrative one.. it's a long one but lucrative (I've been promised).
.. and as for your babies... it's called a pet sitter. they are a 'house sitter' as such that comes to your place once or twice a day for an hour for $x to make your place look lived within, feed your children, give you a report on the children and such. i was doing that as a job at one point prior to stripping and nearly seriously thought about doing it as legitimate business ... however everyone is a pet sitter on the gold coast.
anyway, it is worth the $$ to pay for the pet sitter as you will have ease of mind about your children whilst away from home.. ask your vet for recommendations or have one that has vet nurse qualifications as well as a vet as a reference.
it's worth thinking of going to melbourne if you can before it becomes too cold and thus the money starts to go down...
best of luck with everything regardless girl :)

You're SUPRISED? The place I want is $450 a week. I can afford it but dipshit M doesn't want me to 'waste my money'. It's not a waste to me if you're happy and comfortable in a nice place. It's not even considered expensive. I totally was expecting Darc to be paying $400 a week in rent, honestly. Rent is only cheap for the shittiest places. You gotta fork out if you want something decent. Which is why not having enough work and having no savings can be scary sometimes!

adelaide is waaaay cheaper than any other major cities in aus though. like i have a really cute 2 bedroom apartment with a brand new kitchen and bathroom, floating floorboards and a paved private courtyard just 5-10 mins out of the city. $400/week would get you a pretty fancy place here, like a nice 3 bedroom house.

Yeah I was projecting that I thought Adelaide was only a little cheaper. God, I did well there financially, too. I wonder how I'd do if I freaking lived there. A place just like you described here is about $600 for the ones worth getting. The place I want isn't close to the city but it close to the river and in a Woolstore.
Edit: I pay $200 now, but the place is worth $320 and it a craphole two bedroom in a brick apartment complex. Nice garden and new walls but shitty kitchen, no aircon, carpet made of burn... I only got a deal because it's owned by M's grandmother. So it 'does', but now M thinks all places above $200 is expensive. ::)

I'm paying $320 per week (got a deal going with my flatmate that he covers other expenses such as food, part of the internet, etc costs and I will 'take care of' the rent) for a gated community complex (thus shared/accessible gym, sauna, function room, function/bbq area, playground, swimming pool, spa) that is pet friendly.. 3 bed, 2 bath, 3 toilets (one ensuite, one main bathroom upstairs and just a toilet downstairs), laundry area, kitchen w/dishwasher, air con, private yard (big enough for a small dog), SLUG. I feel I'm getting a deal esp. the "pet friendly" part !!
Yes they are okay and are very aware of my fostering.
I can empathise in re the "not being able to afford rent" some weeks. Yet thankfully I have only been in the situation once where i seriously nearly thought about contacting my father to ask for money. I'm blessed to always have some money lurking around somewhere... both in and outside of bank accounts.. and then there is the fact that if I was ever in a real tight squeeze.. items i can sell.
Anyway, as I said, glad things are generally working out for you :)
I can relate about being "retired" from the local strip club scene. I'm "retired" from the Gold Coast strip club scene for the near future. Nothing to really draw me back yet. Plus I'm not too keen on how Brisbane is going as well..
