Coke is commonly cut with baby laxatives, hence the shits. (sorry gross but true)

And as for me, at FIRST I never ate on it. After I got used to it I still ate....just more and faster than normal lol.

I hate coke. It can fuck off.

Oh yeah, I can TOTALLY relate to that. I feel your pain there and then some.

Thing is, if it wasn't for this business I'd be fine; my body is soft and warm and nurturing, I make delicious food and keep a good home and there's not a damn thing wrong with that. It's just that this industry pressures us all to look like 16-year-old cheerleaders and that's so hard to do when you've got the Womanly Gene.

exactly. and it becomes even more frustrating when you're CONSTANTLY told how far you could go in the modelling world because of your 'perfect facial proportions for photographic modelling' but oh no, the gene that wants to make me soft instead of firm just doesn't agree with that. my weight is the only thing preventing me from achieving my dreams, and i'm pretty much willing to go to any lengths to fight the genetics standing in the way.

I'm sorry, Darcy. I never tried to get into modeling because I'm just built too short and squishy for it. I just don't have the energy to fight that hard.

I have run into this more than once, so i understand.

First when I was 17, I was signed with an agency, but they kept telling me that nobody would work with me unless I dropped 20 lbs. At the time was 5'7 and only weighed 120, so that would put me way, way to thin. I told them to fuck off, and that ended my modeling career.

I started modeling again abotu 2 years ago, and every so often I run into a photographer that bitches about my weight. Or tells me how much further I could go if I dropped 30 lbs. I don't want to weigh 100 lbs. That would make me flat chested and hipless. I would look like a 5 year old. I like the way I look. But when people constantly tell you how much better you could be...it's to tempting to believe them. You start doubting what you thought you knew about yourself.

So I can sympathze with you. I do think you are beautiful though. Just so ya know. :) if it matters..

darcy, all i can say is i understand exactly how you feel. every day is different, every pound is a battlefield, every mirror shows something new...

HOWEVER... i saw all of your youtube vids... and you can't photoshop videos. You're fucking gorgeous... and THIN. You're fine. You look great. Go on a super-lean diet until the shoot if that's what it'll take to make you feel better, do a crapload of cardio/free weights (WITHIn your target HR zone... really push yourself... makes a huge difference) get gooooood sleep, and stop stressing. if you've already booked it, you're fine!

stay away from the clen. Please. please please. I like you so incredibly much and your videos made me laugh- I love the way you said "tattoo" and I wish I could meet you IRL. You're too beautiful a person (INSIDE and out) to even RISK anything happening again.

^^ Hahahaha Yek!!

Seriously though, Darcy...focus on eating super clean, drink LOTS of water, exercise, take your vitamins, and if you have to take something, take something SAFE, use it in moderation, then increase it slightly if necessary. By freaking out you are putting all kinds of stress onto yourself and you are going to wind up sick over this. Stress keeps the weight on. So try and relax if you can.

Perhaps a few days before the shoot, you can do a wrap/massage, go tanning. Do not eat immediately before the shoot. And do get lots of sleep the night before.

^^ OOps you know what? Maybe have a light snack, like fruit, an hour or so before the shoot, and don't tan too much (or at least don't go in with sunburn or tanlines.)

i don't tan anyway. i just get a spray tan done the day before a big shoot, if i have to. i am very white at the moment so i know i'll feel a million times better once i'm tanned, i always do.

colette, thank you, that was very sweet of you.

i think instead of clen i'm just going to take my tonalin again, and severely limit my calorie intake. no, it's not healthy, but i just need to be skinny for this shoot and after that i can focus on healthy weight maintenance. it's just unfortunate that this shoot popped up out of nowhere at a time when i've just recently (in the last two months) gained a lot of weight due to a number of factors including: drinking WAY too much alcohol, eating too many carbs while vegetarian, quitting doing stage shows and thus losing a big part of my weekly exercise, not being able to work out as often because my anxiety has kept me out of the gym....

Darcy, I used to be into bodybuilding, and I'm giving you the following advice because it's what bbers do when they need to cut their bodyfat way low in a short period of time:

*Cut out ALL carbs. I mean ALL. (Not veggies).
*Eat every three hours: protein + veggies.
*Drink a gallon of water a day.
*Do cardio for an hour twice a day.
*Lift weights (or do other resistance training) a few times a week.

You will see dramatic results within a week. And you will probably find yourself relying on fat burners just to get through it.

Crap. Right after I posted that, as I was eating chocolate ice cream with peanut butter on top, I realized that I too have a photo shoot to worry about ...and it's a week from today. Shit. LOL! I guess I'm bout to go take my own advice!

wouldn't a gallon of water a day make you look even more bloated and retaining too much fluid? thats a shitload of water.

Actually no, drinking lots of water has the exact opposite effect. Your body retains water when you are at all dehydrated, because it is in prepare-for-drought mode, and this is the bloat. But when you are very hydrated, your body sheds its water, and you will be pounds thinner as a result. (Working out has the added benefit of shedding water through your pores.)

Additionally, eating salt makes you retain water, and sugar has the same effect. This is why I say to cut out carbs as well.

You want to be well hydrated throughout the day -- not just drink a ton all at once, which wouldn't be a good thing.

BTW, no one asked about how the eat-every-three-hours thing helps you lose weight, but just in case, I wanna explain: It keeps your metabolism burning. Dgesting food burns calories, for one, but also, just as your body holds onto water when you're thirsty, but sheds it when you're hydrated, your metabolism slows down when you don't eat enough and speeds up when you do. The three hour interval is just what the bodybuilders have found to be ideal to stabilize blood sugar levels.

I struggle with it too. You can always try the flavor packets, though they have artificial sweeteners and probably cause cancer. Or you could try pouring in some very flavorful fruit juice (just a bit).

Or you could just add a little lemon juice and artificial sweeteners if you're not afraid of them (I'm a splenda fan myself). It's a really awesome lemonade substitute... much better for you. Me, I just drink lots of water plain. But yeah, LOTS.

Oh and Darcy-when I posted this I didn't mean to say that you have anything to worry about. Because I know you are already hot just the way you are. I'm just saying that I know how a photo shoot can send one into panic mode (I am an actress, so I feel ya) b/c you want the photos to turn out the best they can be. But if you want to at least FEEL more confident then here are some things you can do.

But please don't put yourself into danger over this.

Darcy, you are HOT. Please don't take the clen. As someone who also struggles with anxiety, trust me when I say it will NOT help you mentally. A high-protein diet sounds much better.

I feel your pain as well, Darcy. All the women in my family are either incredibly overweight or obese, even. I struggle daily to control my weight and though I'm at a healthy weight, I still feel absolutely disgusting.

Please know that you are very beautiful and so many women would kill for your body. I do understand your struggle - you're not alone in this and so many people here support you.

Darcy - (look, I joined! (buttons)) you are gorgeous. Infact you look very similar to me (not to blow my own trumpet or anything) and I'm here to say you have nothing to worry about.

However, if you're dead set on doing something I think the best route would be two weeks of totally looking after yourself - lots of fruit and fresh veggies, high protein, low starch, lotsa water and green tea. You'll be glowing, and if you keep the cals low (but not too low or your body will freak out and you will gain MORE back when you stop) you'll probably dro a few pounds.
I have weeks where I just go "OMFG I'm HYOOOOOOOGE" but if I eat really clean for a week or so this feeling goes away, which proves just how much it's in my head (yay for BDD... NOT!!!)

I know how overwhelming it is (promo work used to make me freak out for ages beforehand, my boyfriend hated it :() but they've already picked you, so clearly you're hot enough..

(my boyfriend thinks you're smoking too)

argh, can i just say, i am SO over atkins hahaha.

i'm still doing it though. right now i'm eating cheese. usually i have cheese on crackers but obviously crackers are a no-no right now so i've replaced them with cucumber slices.

i'd just like to say that i would honestly kill someone for a bag of doritos right now hahah.

i'm already noticing a slight change though. been doing crunches like crazy and my stomach is already looking flatter.

I feel you Darcy. :(

I need to be skinny for Monday. I fear they may be disapointed if I go there fatter than last time, and they say 'oh hey, we don't want to pay you as much anymore'. So I'm just...not eating in the meantime, and running 2 hours a day. It fucking sucks. I'm sitting here all hungry and sad.

I wish I had the skinny genes. I really wish. My mom is always saying 'yes daughter, but when that plane goes down in the Andes, we'll be just fine'. Heh. If that's any consolation!
