I actually don't think that what's going on right now is any worse, and probably more benign than panty girdles and garters in the 1950s or corsets in the Victorian era. Mothers have always done crazy things to get their daughters to be more acceptable and children always wanted to be "little ladies". I would rather wear a thong than something that would crush my organs or mess up my circulation. My mom is a boomer and had to wear a panty girdle when she was 10 years old because that is what proper "little ladies" were supposed to do.

Little girls today are encouraged to play sports and do well in school (hell, there are more women in college than men.) My mom was told to not go out an get dirty and have to wear ridiculous 1950s crap. There have always been ridiculous standards for women but this is definatly the best time for women and young girls in america.

And at least that's still better than foot binding or FGM.

I would have been too embarrassed to get a bikini wax done at that age but i did shave mine as soon as it grew which was when I was about 10.

I dont see any good reason for microdermabrasion for kids unless they have started to break out with acne.

These mothers need to stop living thru their kids if that's what they are doing, kind of seems that way.
