Unrelated to anything but I'm at work right now and this customer who is cheap as all hell is sitting at the bar with his phone out, IG live or whatever on, recording everyyyybody. Like, wtf? Why has our job turned into this? Why can't I shake my ass in a private establishment without being on some degenerate's social media? What other job aside from celebrity related shit is like this? It's crazy. I want to curse him and the management of this club out. There are a bunch of girls recording themselves so I don't have much of an argument but at the same time, it's those girls choice to record themselves. I don't want to be recorded and I'm sure others don't either. If I'm going to be nearly nude on the Internet, that should be my own damn choice.

He's been here recording us for hours too. I hate but can tolerate a customer pulling out their phone to record themselves making it rain but a dude just sitting here streaming the club to his instagram shouldn't be allowed. There's a reason why the club doesn't upload a nanny cam feed to the Internet every shift. What. The. Fuckkkk

My first night ever dancing was this weekend at Pearl’s in South Carolina. I attempted to work at The Treasure Club, Thee Dollhouse or Derriere’s but Treasure Club said my BMI was too high and advised I not even try at Dollhouse. Derrier’s just said they weren’t hiring. I know a lot of them are waiting on Golf season.

Pearl’s is a small mixed topless club. I’m 5’4, 160 biracial and I wear my hair naturally curly. Most of my weight is carried in my thighs/hips. Not a single white person in that club wanted to watch me dance and although the black guys tipped me well, they said I wasn’t agressive enough. Which I was afraid to be labeled as “the angry black girl” so I was focused on being “sweet.” I’m personally not comfortable working in a club where majority of the men are there to see white women.

I live in Atlanta and I would love to dance here because I feel as though I’d be accepted but I am afraid of my corporate life intermingling. I’m looking for clubs either in Alabama or south GA that I can travel to that are mixed w/ heavy urban influence.

Has anyone had similar experiences? Or any advice moving forward?

Hi everyone! Can anyone help me decide what city to move to and start stripping in???

I'm an aspiring stripper who is a 5'4, 135 lb light skinned black girl. People say I look like Zendaya (which is a crazy and unbelievable honor /:O8) ) if that gives a better description. Can dance very well, twerk some, very flexible, no pole skills currently but am working on it, am well-spoken and bubbly, also a political science major. I will be graduating from a university in the Midwest this spring. My plan is to move to a city that allows me to strip/make decent money and keep a corporate job in my field too. I'm considering Denver, ATL, Houston, Dallas, DC, Portland and Seattle, but will go anywhere!

I've never stripped but have researched a lot and don't know what cities I should look into. Willing to relocate to wherever in the US. I usually attract white men and tend to date them both in vanilla and sugar baby/daddy relationships, so I'm wondering which clubs/cities would allow me to capitalize on this. I'm not opposed to urban clubs, but I feel I would make the most in predominantly-white clubs. I get the "you sound like a white girl" and "I forget that you're black" thing a lot until I start dancing at the bars as if my culture and skin color are masked away or something?? So annoying. Anyway, I feel like this could make it hard for me to adapt in urban clubs, but again I'm not sure.

Any help is appreciated!!! Really just want some insight on my potential hustle and what cities I could thrive in Thank you in advance, ladies.

Can we get an update on any clubs in Southern California, specially orange and Los Angeles County. I’ve auditioned at a few clubs in Orange County and so far have heard nothing, but no or they’re too busy. It’s becoming increasingly discouraging because the club I’m at now is slow and I can’t seem to get hired. I’m petite, 5’1, 100 lbs, but things are proportionate. Please help me find a club that is small woc friendly.

If you're thin, tall, and pretty, they all hire black girls. Good luck.

I don't like new girls on this website that come here, expect to be spoon-feed information, disappear or continue to use the site and can't say at least a thank-you to women for their time, and money used to find the knowledge.

It's like a guy constantly giving you questions and want to use you up for your time without accepting to give you anything.

Manhattan doesn’t discriminate like that. I’m brown skin, darker than you most likely and years ago I worked in manhattan. All they’re looking for is dancer quality. Pretty face, nice body, being tall wouldn’t hurt but you don’t have to be the height of a model. Just go in and be confident! Being in this industry requires confidence and thick skin. It’s pretty much sales 101 because it is a sales job. You’re selling your looks to these clubs and the guys. So confidence is the key. You’ll always win if you have that.

Does anyone watch dancer vlogs? One of my fave dancer vloggers is Jazz Black and she said KOD closed in Atlanta.

Did anyone dance for them? How do yall feel about the closure?

Also I'm not a current dancer, I danced one time a few years back and didn't have the cojones to go back but recently I've been reconsidering if certain things don't (or do) fall into place.

Wow I’m glad I found her channel. I’ll have to check her out. KOD closing isn’t that shocking to me since I haven’t heard much about it in awhile.

Alot of the Socal Clubs in LA and OC are WOC friendly EXCEPT the notorious 4Play & Plan B to my knowledge. Which club are you at currently?
Try any of the California Girls (Anaheim 21+ or Santa Ana 18+) in OC or try Fantasy Castle or Palms in Long Beach. Show up glammed and you'll be good to go. GL.

I'm in Fritz in Anaheim, California Girls 21+ will never give me an audition, there's a Black manager there who's definitely a hater. I'm not into nude clubs, but I will look at the ones in Long Beach.

you're not lying about l.a clubs at all!!!! when i was out there visiting the city last month, i was trying out clubs such as: skin, silver reign, 4play, jet strip, and fantasy island. all them shooed me away with the typical lines "we aren't hiring right now"/"come back another time to audition"/"the manager isn't here, but fill out this application and give me your id and we'll give you a call" (which they don't do btw lol). and the thing is, i would call all those clubs asking them if they were doing auditions and they will tell me to come on down **note: i was code switching on the phone and was using my whitest voice ever lmao** . once i have shown up and they saw that i was unambiguously black, that's when i notice their whole demeanor has changed lol. i was staying out in the west side of town near lax with a guy that i was seeing at the time and he was taking me around to these places. he wasn't willing to take me as far as oc nor to the valley or to the east side, because it was a push for him to drive out to those places, unfortunately :( but i see those clubs have a bit more diversity on their roster according to their social media pages. i ended settling with charlie's live entertainment that's like in south central or in inglewood. i really don't know. it's an all black 'hole in the wall' dive bar. the neighborhood it's in is INDEED dodgy, but it isn't like a 'war zone', ya feel me? charlie's sucked ass! the customers who frequent that club are a bunch of regulars who live in the neighborhood and they don't simply have the means to spend money on strippers. all they do is hangout and drink and play pool. occasionally you do get some spenders, but it is unlikely RARE at that place lol. it is also pretty dead and it's just ughhhh. i don't recommend this place, unless everywhere else in town has turned you down or shooed you away from auditioning and you have no options left. i was an out of towner and i only stayed in l.a for 2 weeks, so charlie's was an last resort option for me in my case. i notice this 'shooeing away from auditioning' bs is quite a trend out in the west coast. not only this was my experience in l.a, but this was also my experience in the phoenix area as well smh. not saying the east coast is no better either, but at least they'll let you audition and not act all weird when they see you!

Atlantis, the Oasis, Purple Orcid, Vanity Grand, Sabel,

You could try risque. The club owner prefers black women, however, the hiring manager hiring practice may differ.

I am a newbie and I have some questions as well as some info on my experience auditioning at Hoops Cabaret, which is the sister club of Eicks Cabaret. I got a referred by another petite black dancer I met. I’m 5”8, 33-24-35, caramel/light skin, black. I wore a 18” bergundy wig, and did my makeup. From what I read, I should stick to having long, but not too long hair, etc to appeal to the customers in upscale clubs in NYC, where I’m at. I know about the discrimination but I won’t feel comfortable in urban club simply Bc I’m skinny, even though I can dance way better to hip hop. I went in, the house mom was rude, abrupt and bitchy. I asked simple questions and she gave me smart remarks. I remained professional. The girl I saw and spoke to were all white and light Latinas. Only two Hispanic women were genuinely nice to me. The hous is an older Hispanic woman btw. We go downstairs and I’m told to dance for two songs, one with my outfit on, the other topless. I did. I have no experience in dancing at all this was my first audition. I wasn’t nervous but the music was extremely terrible. They played “don’t wake me up” by Chris brown..... how am I supposed to dance and be sexy to that? The managers were all white middle aged men and they made me feel uncomfortable. I saw on browskined cute black girl but she looked like she was kissing ass in there. After, the house mom told me that I didn’t get in, managements said no without a specific reason. She was very dismissive. I’m strapped for cash and I am thinking about working at PUMPS In Williamsburg to get some money and experience then trying back out at the upscale clubs a little later. Any advice on NYC clubs that are black skinny girl friendly and how much $$ is earned on a good night would be greatly appreciated.

my recommendation is....go to these clubs early....it's just easier to get hired I feel...during the day when they already have vert few dancers.
dunno if that's what u did but ya.
btw was this recently that u went? since they are changing to employees now

I was in la last month. I went during the night time. The clubs did say their audition times were during the evening. I’ve stopped by FI and all I saw was light skin latinas and a few blondes there. The door dude there was super nice, but still kinda shooed me away ahaha. Yeah. I’ve heard about the new law. That sucks :/ that didn’t happen when I was there.

I would keep trying in manhattan. There's at least 12 other clubs in the manhattan alone that you could have a shot at. Just make sure in those gown club environments you are smiling/winking and dancing slow regardless of the song lol (count the two step in your head even if you need). The discrimination in manhattan clubs is real. My first time auditioning I got blocked at the door by New York Dolls (never apply there or their chain, they are both racist and terrible at management). It can be so discouraging and traumatic to be turned away because of your complexion or race but they are wrong. White men LOVE black women in these clubs, and you are going to be the exception to their quota rule. If you don't have experience dancing, lie. Most of the good clubs don't want newbies, so just say you haven't danced in a while or in a different area for a few months before you got here.

Pumps is cute but not sustainable - you split the dances so there's never a house fee, so if you need extra money to audition to a better club I would suggest it, but not for a home club. You wouldn't be making money that is worth it to you!

Peytons Playpen in BK is also a decent divey place, with more locals in the area.

P.S. keep in mind that the strip club isn't about friends, but about money. You are seen as competition whether you like it or not. When you are starting out, just keep to yourself - be nice but keep to yourself. You may meet genuine people who dance, you may not.

Your goal is money though, so who care's if they're not nice!

I’m not sure how the Scores clubs are anymore as I haven’t danced in years now. I hear Flashdancers are closed. You may want to check out Ricks, Penthouse, Sapphires... those used to be some of the top clubs in Manhattan. The best thing to do is google some of them and go audition at all the big ones until you get hired. If you happen to meet a girl on here that maybe a veteran at one and knows the managers well, she could be your way in. Use your resources. Good luck chica. 😊

I used to dance back in 2016 but stopped around the beginning of 2017.i want to start dancing again but I’ve gained some weight. I’m a caramel/mocha complexion black girl 4’11, 34-28-43. What clubs would be good for me to work at in manhattan? I’ve danced in Brooklyn & the Bronx but never in manhattan. I’m now an esthetician but want to do this on the side. Seeing how I’ve gained weight do you think I can get hired in manhattan?

No, you most likely won't be hired, because Manhattan has selective clubs, hiring managers and clientele. Somebody who doesn't look they're best won't be rewarded to (work in) the best clubs. Frankly, it doesn't make sense to with women who put a lot of effort in to themselves to work and a lot of plastic surgery and have the capability to get some of the wealthiest men to spend--

I worked at vanity in queens, Peyton’s, & juniors cabaret. The only one I really liked was Peyton’s though.

Well do you have any suggestions of other areas I can try ?

Your best bet is to stay within Queens or try out Club W in the Bronx. Manhattan clubs anti blackness and strict fatphobic body standards isn’t worth it.

Queens clubs definitely suck. But there’s Mermaids in astoria.

Can you return to these clubs? Were you fired from them, or just not enough money there?

Yeah queens clubs are trash.Thanks. Are they topless or full nude ? I’m not really about that nude life. I didn’t know juniors was full nude until I got there. The manager never told me .

Do you mind telling what you got fired for or what you assume? Maybe, you could return before having to find somewhere else... And was it a white manager or a manager of color that fired you? And does he have fits?

Can you just tip him (more) to let you work, or try to? He's a hiring manager, right?

Yeah he is but I doubt it. We got into a few times since my 1st day there. She would literally just go to him and complain after initiating the argument. Really not trying to kiss ass to work in a hostile environment you know.
