I know, right? I went looking for minivans today. Yeah, a minivan. I just need something I can drive to a club that will hold all my stuff that won't cost a million bucks to fix if something breaks. I have to fuckin' drive from TN to Miami on Sunday, and I'd rather not take my nice car or truck. I'm emotionally attached to them something awful.

Minivans are cool. They can be good emergency sleeping quarters, in case, like, someone crashes into your house too.

Are you a feature dancer too Ginger? with the big champagne tub and stuff?

Yeah, I feature dance. I drive to more than half my bookings, hence my need for something with room that gets kinda sorta decent gas mileage. I have a conversion van that gets all of 8 miles per gallon, I sure as hell ain't driving that thing for work unless I have to.

And don't jinx my house HB! Don't you do it! :P

And now for your viewing pleasure....here's what's left of my car.

I don't know how the hell a person can walk away from that, but we're all just thankful that you did.

I don't know if it would have enough cargo space for you, but I commute in a little ford focus hatchback. I put the back seats down always, and there is a lot of room. I can put a couple of hockey bags in and still have plenty of room. Gets 40 plus mpg. Just throw that out there.

Back in the day, we called vans shaggin' wagons.

Holy shit! It looks like an accident where you would think somebody had died. I'm sure glad you didn't. Like Wesley says in the Princess Bride, "There is a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a shame to ruin that one."

And you're dancing Saturday? Are you sure you're up to that?

I'm so sorry that happened to you, Ginger! That is really bad luck, and really frightening. That is just so shitty. It's like my worst fear to get blindsided by a bad driver. Sad sad. I'm glad you had airbags and weren't seriously injured, at least.

WOWOW Ginger, glad you're OK.

If I were you, I would get a wagon instead of a van. Like a Subaru legacy, Mazda 3/6 wagon, etc. Great mileage, and enough room.

Thanks for all the kind words ya'll, I really do appreciate it. It makes me feel so much better about the situation in general, because if I couldn't talk to anybody I think I would start a mini-meltdown.

And yeah....I'm looking for a car today and tomorrow. I have to drive to Miami on Sunday, so gotta get something before then.

It may have been a piece of shit 'drive to the strip club' car, but I'll miss it. :'(

*hugs* I know how you feel. I cried when I saw my car, and it was a piece of shit too!

How scary. Glad to hear you are okay though. Everyone is different after an accident and you never know how you might react. My mom got into an accident with someone who ran a red light and totaled her car. My mom really isn't a materialistic person, but even though her car was an older model she LOVED that car. She was actually crying because her car was totaled, and she'd be the last person I'd picture doing that.

Wow, Ginger Lee...those pictures *are* pretty scary. I'm glad you made it out with only minimal injuries. Hang in there!
