You mean the Rice crispies treats cereal? That was good shit. I didnt like it with milk tho. I just ate it outta the box.

Oh no, it was actual rice krispies, and it had tiny little colored marshmallows. I was really young when I had them. I was never crazy about the rice krispies treats cereal either.

I miss the Peanut butter cups that had a cookie in it, THAT was the shit !!! I would be so fucking happy if I could have one right now.

Totally know what you are talking about!!!! YUM

Evening everyone,
If there is a food that you can't find at your local grocer try Amazon.com or Amazon.com/uk for those of you in Europe. They sell the Wafflecrisp cereal that I love, but no longer carry in the stores. And its 5 boxes per order. You can even get it on auto-delivery. So awesome.

I wish I could 5 eat boxes of stuff I wanted! Anyone want to go in on an order of monster cereal? We never even have Count Chockula around here anymore!

OOOOH! I remember the rice crispies stuff too! I remember thinking it was amazing.

Do they still make that push-up ice cream? There was nothing better in the summer.

They still make Push-Pops I think. But there was a special kind they don't make anymore (at least not to my knowledge). It was sorbet with Nerds candy in it. OMG!! It was the best. You can get a Nerds Blizzard at DQ but it's totally not the same.

RoseLeigh, Costco here has giant boxes of the monster cereal. It's 3-in-1, Frankenberry, Booberry, and Count Chockula.

^When I used to eat marshmallows I'd down like a box of Boo Berry.

Then I realized that it turned a weird color coming back out. :O

At least Coca-Cola corrected their mistake by bringing back Coca-Cola Classic. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola#New_Coke)

Bring back the square Shreddies! Brilliant marketing campaign IMO. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQS_s2zcyBw)

I liked C2, which was sort of like Coke and Diet Coke combined.

And ooh, those Taco Bell tater tots/"mexi fry" things were the best!

i remember my first job was a a DQ and i made those!

Me too! I'm on a DQ kick at the moment....when the fuck did they start calling Mr. Misty's slurpees 'Arctic Rush' drinks? Seriously, I went to order one and almost started crying when the girl had no idea what I was talking about.

I'm with LJ about the trans fat at KFC, the chicken tastes funky now that all my precious trans fat has been taken out. I want some damn fattening chicken!

Speaking of Taco Bell, I used to love their Cinnamon Crispas, before they turned them into those Twist things. They were more like a big crispy airy tortilla dusted with sugar and cinnamon. They were vaguely like a sopaipilla, actually.

Now I want tacos. Damn.

-WTF they're not called Mr Misty's anymore? Arctic Rush sounds like a Gatorade flavor. There's a DQ right by my club, but the only time I've been there recently was to run in and grab an ice cream cake for one of the dancer's birthdays. The guys who own the place used to come into the club. One night a couple of summers ago they went around to all the employees around 1 in the morning and took sundae orders. They went to the DQ, opened the doors, made us all sundaes, and brought them back to the club. Nice! Anyway, I seem to recall a Mr Misty being more like a Slush Puppy, right? My mom was/is a huge fan of Dilly Bars.

I worked at taco bell as a teenager, I can tell ya how to make your own cin crispas....

small flour tortillas the really dense ones, deep fried and while still hot tossed around in a bag of equal mix of cin and granulated sugar, and light brown sugar.

The best stuff at KFC has always been the sides. They haven't messed with the mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and buttermilk biscuits, have they?

I'm still mourning what Jack in the box did to their fries. "Natural cut" my ass. Stop pretending that they're at all natural.

Also... and I guess this isn't really food... but El Jimador tequila has started doing something crappy to itself since this time two years ago. I drank half a bottle of that stuff two years ago with my ex and I can't handle a single shot anymore without a headache the next day!

I thought pushpops were the candy finger lollipop.

And PushUps were the icecream?

YES!!! They do... I have ALL of them. They are in A&P. I got Count Chocula, FrankenBerry ANNNNND Boo Berry. Just check next time you go to the supermarket. They are there. If not, I am in Jerz too and will send you them.

Seriously. I know how BAD it is to want the unattainable cereal-ness.

Does anyone remember Vienetta? It was this AMAZING ice cream cake (i think from Breyers?) with thin layers of flaky chocolate inside...my mom would rarely buy it for us, and by the time I was getting my own groceries it was long gone...so sad.

Also, I miss Squeez-its...every so often I would get them as my drink in my box lunch in elementary school and they were good!

And the death of Crystal Pepsi was an absolute tragedy. I'd definitely sign a petition to get it back

OMG I would stab somebody for a Vienetta! I fucking loved that shit. I would try and hide it in the back of the freezer so nobody else would eat it.

Yeah, at least in here in the US. There are a couple of sites that say you can get them in Europe, but that does me no good.

*sniffle* That sucks.

I'm trying to remember if that was the one with the Xmas commercial I loved-the nutcracker looking around mischeviously with the music in the background.

All of these posts are making me stroll down Food Memory Lane and I feel like a fat kid. Here's my contribution:

-Whatever happened to Ring Pops? I loved those things and my parents use to buy them in these huge plastic containers and I only wanted to eat the grape ones. Randomly whenever I run across them in Wal-Mart, I buy as many as I can.

-Same goes for grape Jolly Ranchers? I love them and everyone I know says they're gross. I sorted through a bag of Jolly Ranchers just to take all of the grape ones.

-Why can't I find some real ice cream cake living in the South? I'm a born Yankee and we eat Carvel ice cream and they make REAL ice cream cakes: a cake made of ice cream with these delicious Oreo cookie crumbs on top. Since moving, whenever people talk about ice cream cake in the South, it's a regular sponge-type cake with a layer of ice cream on the bottom. Gross!
I also miss Carvel's Flying Saucers. Here the best it gets are those fat-free Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches and they taste like bland frozen milk. Egh. Talking about this really makes me want some.

-Anyone else remember this ghetto bubble gum ice cream that had actually chunks of real pink bubble gum in it?

-Even though it does give a bad image to kids, I miss bubble gum cigarettes. The best was blowing the white powdered sugar out like a puff of smoke.

-It's so hard to find that old school Hello Kitty bubble gum. I found a random Sanrio store in an outlet 45 minutes from my house and I spent almost $15 on that stuff in all the flavors and I've been hording and rationing it for months until I can get back there.

-I totally agree with that Bryer's Vienetta. That stuff was the shit.

*Sorry for rambling*

I mentioned this before, except when I was a kid, it was blue and lacked the bubble gum bits. I loved it dearly, but it has become all but impossible to find. I discovered Breyer's Bubble-Yum at Wal-Mart recently, which has the gum-bits (not bad) but it is PINK. The flavor's the same, fortunately, but I have a feeling it won't be sold for long.

Not too long ago, I found an old Squeez-It bottle buried in my parent's back yard. His name is Grumpy Grape.:D

I miss McDonalds Big Xtra Burger, the original one, not the one they have had for the last 2 years and have now discontinued

I miss "Pro Stars" Cereal, with Wayne Gretzky, and Bo Jackson as the sponsors, heck they even had a Cartoon to go with the Cereal man I loved that junk

I miss PB Max, that spread with the peanut butter and Jam, already mixed in lines, it was so good. when I was like 10, I'm sure it wouldn't be good now, but I want to see.

Tim Hortons had an Apple Dumpling donut, it was an apple fritter with apple sauce inside of it, I loved that donut, I want it back
