Also, the last van. job I worked at, a lady (40's) died from a heart attack. She was a big fan of energy drinks. Caffiene's bad enough.

There was just a story about a 19 year old kid that drank 2 Monsters a day for 4 years and he died of a heart attack (I think). The mother sued Monster. I am really curious how and why it affected him so badly though, especially so young and healthy otherwise.
I also have no idea why kids need them - my friend in high school drank a "BFC", I think it was like 32 oz. of Monster, every single morning and it was like he was on speed ALL DAY. It's like dude... if you didn't drink that, you'd probably be a normal level of energy... Jesus.
I drank Monster a few times a week in high school, because they were brand new and cool then, but mostly the sugar free one. I only did it a few times a month in college, if I had to stay focused for a huge test or something, or if I had a vodka/RB at a bar.
Now I don't drink any - I had an "anxious breakdown" in May and cut all caffeine for a while. I am just now starting to drink a cup of tea or a latte every few days again and that sometimes still puts me through the roof with the racing thoughts and whatnot... I cannot imagine drinking a Red Bull.
I think they're okay once in a while, but they can definitely be bad long-term. Certain people should not drink them at all, IMO, like myself (already pretty high strung and into a million projects at once... no more stimulation is needed!) They send you up, up, up for a few hours and then you crash... that sucks!

My things are a good bean in the morning & a killer grape at night & my go in between is Redline because of the amount of caffeine in 1 dose almost 300mgs.

I used to drink one can before work (RedBull or V and only on the days that I worked) while I was studying. I also tried the energy shots. They gave me heart palpitations and I was never a fan of the flavour so I gave them up. After reading up on them, I wouldn't even let them touch my lips these days lol. But, I guess everything is ok in moderation.

I LOVE Red Bull, but I really try to limit how often I drink it. I suffer from insomnia enough as it is and one can keeps me awake for a long ass time. I usually only drink it before I go out and then I still can't sleep when I get home (often more than 12 hours later).
y u so delicious, Red Bull ;_;

Well for the last 4 months I've been staying up til 5-7am 2x a week and the other 5x a week I've had to wake up at 7am, so yeah that gets rough after a while. the julio castro energy drinks work best.
