Happy Late Birthday.

I have to say, you are one of the few people who, with each additional post I read, makes me like them more-- rather than the other way around.

Granted, you don't post two dozen times a day, so maybe that's part of it.

Thanks, fancygirl. I appreciate it.

Phone rings, it's my buddy Glen. He says "look out your back window". I see through the clearing that there is an inflatable raft on the river. The occupants are waving at me. "I've got my two grandkids with me, if I pull in here, can you give me a lift back to Dover St. to get my Car?" Sure thing Glenners.

He's in the Seahawk 440 number two. Number one was the first one my neighbour/buddy Michael and I bought about 11 or 12 years ago. It got stolen after only a few trips down the river. Number two got worn out from scraping along the bottom when the river was low, and the floor chambers could no longer be repaired. We gave that one to our buddy Glen when we bought number 3, so we'd have another joiner.

We are on raft number 5 now....it's a Seahawk 400 (http://www.qualityinflatables.com/68335.html) that is a year old. We get about a hundred trips out of them usually. A typical trip is drive up the street about 5 minutes to the old pump house on the riverbank. Drop the boat in, float down the river till we get to our complex, then walk up the hill. The trip takes about an hour and a quarter...usually a 3 beer trip. We rig up a big umbrella for longer trips. Hell, we've even shot the rapids at the parkhill dam in full rig, though we'll likely never do THAT again...don't ask.

After we pick up his truck and get back to my place to gather up his boat, we crack a cold one, toast our good fortune, and listen to his grandkids recount how much fun they had. Two new converts to the joys of floating down the river on a perfect Sunday afternoon.

What is this "river" of which you speak?

Outside my back door (metaphorically, at least):

Sounds like a great time, HB. I'm curious, when does the winter set in up there for ya?

That's a fine view Chilli. My river is the Grand River. It snakes it's way through Cambridge on it's way to Lake Erie. My place is up on the riverbank, across from a huge forest and limestone cliffs. I'm afraid I don't have any digital pictures of the view....I have boxes of the old fashioned hard copy pics. The cliffs are pretty famous in these parts, so I'll see if I can find a picture on the web...

Nice jab about the winter CP. I need a place down there for January and February.

This is Casey Kasem, with today's Long Distance Dedication. Today's song is dedicated to "Mordred" in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Mordred has been heavily self-medicating to control his anger issues, and is deeply sorry to any one he may have offended. For you Mordred, here's Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors."

But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow.

I'm Casey Kasem, and this is America's Top 40. See you all next week.

When it gets down to the 50s here in Phoenix, we break out the Gortex. Really.

Trees. River sides. Temperatures under 110 degrees to more than 3 days in a row. Looks like a great place to be. I fucken miss LA sometimes.

I happened to catch this story on the CBC recently and thought it may interest some of you. Do you have any idea of the calorie content of the food at your favorite restaurant chains? Watch this. (http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2007/11/07/calorie_confidential/) It sure as hell surprised me.

Nice black t-shirt...fits my little hockeybody perfect.

And the Tempest's gift arrived now as well. Glorious present day for HB.

Thank you TT for the beautiful soft warm purple scarf you made for me. I have tried it on, and it looks and feels great. It will keep me warm and toasty....somewhat like a toasted cinnamon roll...mmmmmmmmm cinnamon rolls.....

Loved the sweet little homemade card too. :)

With my knitted cap from Grace, and my cool scarf and run bitch run t-shirt, I'm feeling very cutting edge and hip. I think i'll go and get my eyebrow pierced. 8)

Hello WallyT it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

For
http://media.nasaexplores.com/lessons/01-003/images/quadform.gif

where b is a long-haired blonde who used to dance at that weird naked cafe with a hanging trapeze in the private rooms, a is several dances on the back corner couch at Club W, and c is her hair flowing over your heads like a tent as she kisses you lightly,

the solution is an erection lasting over four hours, for which you should seek medical attention.

Sorry I haven't been posting, I just got out of dick traction.

Happy to "help provide a solution," though.

Brave Sir Hockey ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled,
Yes brave Sir Hockey turned about,
And gallantly he chickened out,
Bravely taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Hockey.

Why isn't there a FREE online type study course to teach someone how to read the Chinese 4 pillars of destiny?! I know what all my "houses" are, I just don't know what too do with them, or how to make any sense of them, much less how to read my 'future', lol.

Le sigh.

My play money tip roll has been thin the last couple of months and I have been unable to schedule as many OTC's with Miss D as I would like. Interestingly, she has become more accommodating as the money flow from me to her has lessened. Maybe she is concerned I am drifting away. Not the case at all. She is a jewel. But still, evil FBR can't help but wonder if this might be a mini perfect storm.

I wish they would have picked a better spokesperson than that gap toothed large Crystal. I mean, had they asked I could have recruited a better looking person. After all the Chinese did it at the Olympics.
