Dude:
Jay did to you in three letters what you couldn't do in 275 words. Game, set, match, JZ.
One more thing: be very, very careful about "siting" one's intellectual superiority on the interwebs and then misspelling the crux of your argument. Kinda makes one look almost disingenuous. Kinda.
CP
Thanks, Teach. :)
Please note that when dealing with folks, particularly when knowing damn well what they are saying, I never get into how they spelled something. I just address the content.
The second someone starts grading me on spelling I know they have little to say about the CONTENT of the message. It's one step above the ad hominem attack.
"Oh, I can't explain why I am faulting you on what you said, except to say that you misspelled a few words."
BTW, also please note I am talking about intellectual integrity. No where have I claimed intellectual superiority, and I am not doing so now.

Ignoring people's criticisms of you doesn't make them non-existent you know. Like simply declaring them to be not there doesn't actually make them disappear.
I haven't ignored anyone. Cite [better Chili :) ] one example. If anything I answer too many critics posts in such detail about precisely why their critical thinking in regard to my opinions, when they actually bother to post anything that suggests there has been critical thinking, is off the mark that I lose people that might agree with me in the amount of words they have to delve though.

Believe me, I understand that resorting to correcting one's spelling is an egregious disruption of standard bulletin board protocol and I apologize for that.
My only point is this: you (and ES) really, really, really love to overanalyze, quantify and pontificate. If you were having a discussion on say, whether or not economists agree on if a tipping point has been reached vis-a-vis the cost of a barrel of oil vs. consumer spending, it would make sense.
However, this is a site ;) about strip clubs and strippers. There's really nothin to argue about, just compare. Yoda likes SCs because they have Brazilians and Asians and other women he likes, and they like him back (for a price). I like SCs because they are filled with women with big boobs and they let me play with them (for a price). Genwar likes SCs because he can drink and smoke and act the alpha male and chat up strippers who like him (for a price). None of us are wrong, and none of us are right.
Just relax. Share a few stories. Stop acting like you're Hari Seldon (spelling?) from the Foundation trilogy and you have just come up with a mathematical formula for earth's history and its future IF ONLY WE ON SCJ WOULD JUST LISTEN!

Accepted, respectfully and with appreciation.

Ok. I won't argue that. It is the nature of this particular beast. As I have pointed out before, I get paid as a consultant to deeply analyze systems, write policies, suggests changes, etc. My "style" works in some arenas, is a deficit in others. I am a "details" sort of fellow. It's hard for me to switch tact. I am something of a "johnny one note" in that regard, and do considering it a"lacking" on my part in some situations.
Combine that with the fact that I am totally, completely and utterly relentless in nature, something that any suspect I was chasing down found out the hard way... again, good in some arenas, not ideal in others.
I know nothing if not my own liabilities, and claim nothing even remotely close to perfection.
However, this is a site ;) about strip clubs and strippers.
The fact that I am well aware is part of the issue, I suppose. I have been involved in an ongoing dialog about S-Cs since the days when The Pope, Bob 'insert something here' Smyth, Zbone, Moresuo, Eye-to-Eye, Mr Pitifal, et al, held court in A.S.S-C. Just about 30 years of contributing on any number of sites, moderating as well [though I got out of that for obvious reasons having to do with my lines -plural on purpose - of work. I moderate a back-channel site now covering the sex industry, particularly but not limited to NY-NJ-PA-CT and Fla, strip-clubs included [in fact, high-lighted].
I am a known quantity and have something of a "elder-statesmen" status in the NY, tri-state, area among folks like us. I know it means nothing here, and I am NOT suggesting it should. It does make the condescending to I get here from time to time particularly grating though. I have to admit.
Just relax. Share a few stories. Stop acting like you're Hari Seldon (spelling?) from the Foundation trilogy and you have just come up with a mathematical formula for earth's history and its future IF ONLY WE ON SCJ WOULD JUST LISTEN!
Your point is exceptionally valid and I don't deny that.
It's just the things that get said. They fly in the face of all reason and common sense. It sets my teeth on edge and compels the little boy who so much wants to point out that the king is wearing no clothes to pop off and do precisely that.
The complaints about how bad the strip-club environment is, set beside comments endorsing the very behavior that contributes to them being that way. The 'not inappropriate in a support site' poking of customers with sticks, out in the open where the customers can read along, next to comments about, "Why do they think so poorly of us". The "I'm such a gift that the time I spend on you making a sales pitch should be compensated" threads. Just to name a few of a multiple of examples.
It makes me want, out of nothing but sheer regard for the practical, to point out, "Um, if that is really the way you think then logic suggests this might be the appropriate way to achieve what you want."
I KNOW that is PRECISELY what you are attempting to do in my regard with the last paragraph of your post. It would be perfect advice if what I wanted was just to get along. What I'd like is to stimulate some synapses. I don't want to tell people what to do. A) who the fuck am I. B) it never works.
I'd love to get people to think about what they are doing. Come to their own conclusions, whether they agree with mine or not, and then these folks who keep asking, "Why", might see the answers are right in front of their faces.
Like I said, classify me "ne'er do well social do-gooder". I know I am spinning my wheels in mud of my own making, and will only look foolish in the end. I've said precisely that elsewhere. I'm not a stupid fellow. Just a one note, relentless, one. :)
Though someday I may decide that one of the most intelligent posters on the matter of strip-clubs, Mr Pitiful, was right. Another A.S.S-C alumni. His nickname among us is 'the most respected poster of all time". He is a member here you know. He stopped participating very shortly after joining. He said, "It's just too thick in there." His words, not mine. Like I said, a very smart fellow, Mr P.
Peace.
You too, and wishing well...

Well, considering that your definition of "critical thinking" seems to mean "agreeing with Golden_Rule's view of the universe" ...
UGH! You're impossible. :)
I have stated, over and over again, I don't give a rat's ass if people agree with me or not. It is the dialog and the THINKING that is important.
When I continue to disagree with someone, as I have with you, I acknowledge their right to think as they care to... commend you, particularly, for showing the "proof" of your work to come to the conclusions you do by stating counter-point, etc. You don't just tell someone they are full of shit. You tell them exactly WHY you think they are full of shit. I can appreciate that.
I would say very few people here are thinking critically enough to meet your very high standards of intellectual honesty.
Bull cookies. The only standard I have is that they show they've put some thought into something. They do that simply by making an opinion known, AND [the and is important] then being able to say why they think it if someone asks them to explain it.
And you don't really address anyone's point. You simply declare it to be null and void. You don't refute it; you just look at it and then say "This is not a valid point because it is not my point."
BS, Jenny. When I think someone is wrong I do precisely what I have just done here. I tell the poster that I don't agree with them and than say exactly why.
P.S., when I stop doing all this late night policy work, keeping SW open on a browser window to divert my mind from the heavy and boring lifting required, and start sleeping again during these hours you are going to miss me. Admit it. ;)

I understand completely. I am a national sales trainer/consultant. Thought I'd "help" correct the misinformation that passed as advice in HH, especially the drivel spouted by DW. Big mistake. Thought I'd pass on my extensive knowledge of clubs in SoCal. Big mistake (though I still get PMs). I learned to let it go. Just let it go. Now I do. Just like Strother Martin in Cool Hand Luke: "Some (wo)men you just can't reach. That's the way (s)he wants it, well, (s)he gets it."

PS: And I am very familiar with the ASSC cast of characters. What you believe you were to NY, I was to Z-Bone/Southern California. DOES NOT MATTER IN THE SLIGHTEST ON SW/SCJ. Let. It. Go.

Remember, very few people eat potatoes straight up. Most require them to be properly slathered in butter, sour cream, cheese sauce, etc., before they will eat it. Your facts were often right on GR, but who wants to admit GR is right? What is the benefit to them in acknowledging that? None. Nada. Zilch. You need to practice the art of slathering your potatoes in sweet tasty buttery sauces, that, or an alternative approach... play the part of the meek shy waiter, and deliver your message with a good pretense of modesty (waiters really dont feel that way, but they play that part). Then everyone gets to feel "empowered" (whatever that means) and walk away with their pride intact.

Have you seen the latest TV campaign to try and get kids to not smoke, do drugs, etc? Three kids are standing by a fence in a field, and one turns to the others and says, "You have to try this. It's fun!" He then climbs through the fence and approaches a pony. He yanks on the pony's tail, and the pony kicks him in the knee, causing great pain. The second kid climbs through, does the same thing to the pony, limps away in pain. The third kid, pauses, then just walks away.
Guess which kid you are.

Hehe, well yeah! But I don’t think that pinkies upstairs are any different from other women.
The day I signed up I posted my view to a question that pinkies were discussing.
http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1609754&postcount=32 (http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1609754&postcount=32)
Looking back at it the next day, I was horrified what I wrote. I am so ashamed -- its as if all the years of training that my wife has put me through on communicating with women were for naught. Notwithstanding the rules about guys posting in the pinkie section as little as possible, and the a--holishing way that I tried to “help” them how to do their job (I normally never tell people how to do their job), I broke several rules on how a guy should act:
(1) When women are talking among themselves, don’t butt in.
(2) When a woman is complaining, don’t offer advice; she does not want your advice, she is just unloading.
(3) Don’t offer any suggestions to a woman, unless she asks you.
(4) When a woman asks your opinion, tell her what she wants to hear.
So when you say that the pinkies get mad if you tell them the truth up there, how many of the above rules do you think you’ve broken?

Yeah. Women are retards, going around having their own ideas about what's true when there is a man around to tell them what's what. Seriously, there are too many pinks that are way too inflexible in their views on things and believe that their way is the only right way or that their belief is the only correct view. Geez, we aren't walking around as clones of each other. We didn't all have the same childhood. Shouldn't we all have different views on things? Can't we respect each other's views on things?
There were three threads that stand out in my mind that I was like WTF:
There was a discussion about Miami and South Florida clubs. I made a comment that I didn't feel comfortable with the high number of eastern european girls at this one club and that I wasn't comfortable with them because the talk has protrayed them as being a high number of hookers. Cameron Keyes (sp?) chastised(that's a nice word) me for making a sweeping generalization. I read in another thread where she stated that the eastern european girls were all hookers. One of the lessons Lynn taught me was that she could trash something of hers, but if I said something negative, she'd get upset with me. BTW, I have a lot of respect for Cameron. She makes it known that she's against extras. I respect her for taking a pretty solid position there.
I made a post about how I had had a disagreement (that's putting it mildly) with a girl. I felt that she had joked about my drugging #5. My statement was that I didn't do it nor did I think it was funny. A 30 minute discussion then occurred. We ended with agreeing to disagree. Except for some initial upsetness on both parts, we actually had a very intelligent discusion about what had happened as well as other things. the fact that we were able to have an intelligent discussion about the issue inspite of the fact that we were each upset was an amazing feat. I was impressed by her. This is a personality trait that less than 5% of the world has. BTW, that's 5% of the world, not 5% of dancers. I posted about this incident and how its amazing that someone has the ability to have an intelligent conversation about an emotionally charging subject. You would have thought that I had said someone's baby was ugly and deformed with the responses of "stripper's have minds and we can think and ......." I never once meant to imply that this was a dancer that could talk and have conversation. I was stating that this was a person that could have an intelligent conversation and articulate her view without a big drama session.
Dating. Ok, this is a sore point. I understand that the girls don't want to be hit on. However, I can name 5 couples where the girl was a dancer and met the boyfriend/husband in a club. I put the odds of doing that at less than 5% under the best of circumstances. Reality is that it does happen, but its like making the basketball shot from full court, it doesn't happen often and then only under the right circumstances. The girls hate to hear that, but its the truth. So, when a girl asks about this, I share my insite. The other thing that has to be remembered is that web bulletin boards/forums are not the best place to communicate. I can tell from reading Jenny's posts here, that I would get along with her really well in person (crows feet and all), but I think she's too sarcastic here. Me, I have a biting tone to me also, but the pink view of us vs. them, I don't go for it. Its never us vs. them.

Oh, I don't take it seriously. Why would I write a complaint letter anyway? Hardly anything I read online is worth getting upset about.
Honestly, there are certain people that I respect on here for their opinions. Cameron is one of them.
My point is not that there is a problem, but really the duality of human nature. For me, I don't want extras and I don't like having them shoved in my face, but, I tend to turn a blind eye towards them as long as I don't have to see it in a club. I also call the police about the hookers I see on the street near our office.

Seriously, there are too many pinks that are way too inflexible in their views on things and believe that their way is the only right way or that their belief is the only correct view.
But their view is the only correct view.
Shouldn't we all have different views on things? Can't we respect each other's views on things?
No. This is stripperweb. There's only one view allowed, and you'd be tipping for it.

You are absolutely right. I mean with flexibility and respect for other points of view demonstrated in posts like "They get mad when I tell them the truth" I wonder who could ever question that the pinkies are just wrong, and should just wheest and let the rational men do the talking. I mean, women being inflexible are just having their periods or something, whereas men merely have strong conviction and rational discussions that lead to a single, inevitable, powerfully rational and wholly convincing viewpoint known as "The Truth". At least that's what I've noticed here. I don't know why the other ladies can't see it. They must all be having their periods or something, like, all the time.
I can tell from reading Jenny's posts here, that I would get along with her really well in person (crows feet and all), but I think she's too sarcastic here. Me, I have a biting tone to me also, but the pink view of us vs. them, I don't go for it. Its never us vs. them.
No you wouldn't. I'm extremely hard to get along with and easily bored.

Oh, I don't take it seriously.LOL..well, the 3 paragraphs you just wrote about the inflexibility of the pink site belies that claim. i'm just saying.
Honestly, there are certain people that I respect on here for their opinions. Cameron is one of them.
My point is not that there is a problem, but really the duality of human nature.LOL..i guess you never read the very hilarious black barbie thread AKA "how can you call a whore a whore when you're a whore?" thread.

I doubt it.
I suspect Jenny is really sweet IRL. I bet she makes pancakes in the morning for her dudes and even pours the syrup for them.

LOL..well, the 3 paragraphs you just wrote about the inflexibility of the pink site belies that claim. i'm just saying. Not only that, but, in his post, he used:
bullet points (aka an unordered list).
Who ever uses that? I didn't even realize it's up there in the formatting menu until now.
How do I stop this?
-Ev
No seriously, turn it off.
I don't want the bullet points anymore.
ARRRRRGH.
Okay, I'm gonna hafta reboot now.

Besides, the basement is much nicer now. Since the infamous Bridgette/Shot Culture Wars and Butthurt Festival, a lot of the upstairs pinkies have come down here. They even bought new carpet and hung up wind chimes. The place is almost charming now.
I'm nosy for SW gossip and backstories.
What happened? Link?

Don't nitpick. That's Jenny's job, and she's rightfully proud of it.
Welcome to finally getting the point. You and Golden Rule are both welcome in Blue, far moreso than Pink. There's only one rule that applies on Pink: Check your pants. No vag? Then no thanks, here are some delightful parting gifts, thanks for playing. Deal with it. It is ONE website out of countless thousands that simply doesn't want our participation, and really, really, do not want the lecturing style that both you and GR tend to (rather heavy handedly) employ in your posts.
Dude(s), this is a bulletin board about strippers and strip clubs. Share war stories, share experiences, share Trip Reports, give advice (where requested or truly needed). Try not to take it so seriously. Cerously.
CP
you know, I just wandered in here tonight, and after only reading three posts of yours I'm really starting to like you.
I guess I never knew I was a Chili Palmer fan. The things we find out about ourselves...
