Couches are one of the things I was warned against, I think its a bad set up, all downhill kinda thing.

It would have to have been the most awful thing in the world though wouldnt it? to have squished your baby. The only time I haven't is when I was on painkillers (for wisdom tooth ouchy) that made me very dopey, I coiuld have squished a baby elephant and not noticed.

Yes it would be just sheer horror to wake up and realise you did that. Can't even put myself in their position hypothetically.
One of my relatives who is now deceased had a baby who died from sids and she was never the same afterwards even tho she raised 4 more children. She was a very sad lady for the rest of her life unfortunately.

Just an update.... my daughter has now been sleeping for 10 hours at night with no waking up!!!! I'm glad I followed my instinct, its amazing how much better life is with sleep:)

Yay! Congratulations! It's like breathing a deep sigh of relief when you wake up in the morning and realize you didn't get up during the night, isn't it? :P

My baby got good for a little while, now she is teething and there is no est, NONE!!!

Did you read the thread???
A) half your links dont work or come out into ads,
and b) most of the ppl who responded were pro co sleeping and not letting babies ccrying for hours... the op said her baby cried for a few minutes.
