Because Lysondra just made a grand doing less than 10 hours work and HAD FUN DOING IT!
Because I got to do a private party gig with Jayde last night (damn The Blues didn't win)!
It's easier to hustle for tips at a private party (or at least sell them a show thus making YOU more money).

She was late. But it was good because after my shift I got us both booked for almost two hours so we both made extra by her being late!

Fucking Suncorp stadium and my stoopid GPS! It kept sending me to streets that were closed! Luckily I found a park at the very last minute (really close to 11pm) after running around stressed for over 20 minutes. I was panic-ed as I really dislike being late.
I then had to run (not walk.. run!) to VC due to all the street closures.. yet was even more delayed because thousands of people were going the opposite direction I was traveling thus making it that little bit more challenging for me
I finally got there. Realized I left my CD in the car. They finally got their act together (take note: they don't have Rammstein's "Stripped" in their catalogue of music) and I finally did my show (at whatever time).
Yet thanks to all of "murphy's law" happening. Yes, Lysondra came.. and yes.. I got extra $$ thanks to her. I was really ready to go home. I appreciate what Lizzie did :)
(plus the guy who I had was the one paying so it isn't like I didn't put any effort in what-so-ever.. i had to keep him interested so he would extend the original dance for him and his mate)
and you should SO take a photo (don't have to include your head if you want) of that shirt! I did a great job :) of cutting your :boobies: "holes" in that shirt!!!!!
oh. and yes. I'm a "Blues" supporter. Have been since the late 90s. So I was a bit bummed that they lost so badly :( yet *happy* that my extra money was thanks to fellow NSW supporters! GO THE BLUES!!!!!!!!

Hahahaha and the guys that booked us were Blueys!
I put my maroon bra on his head and said, "Hey, your team lost, this can't make you look more like a ponce, don't worry!"

private parties are better than club work......
or in my case working at a pub for 3 hours (i had other work just that this stood out today)...
i was able to take the time out, have a "helper" who was respectful and do two hand-stands.............. and have a nice crowd of people applaud me for it ;D
Today went well!
Fuck the club I want to do pps

I loved private parties better than clubs. I'll consider doing them again part time this summer because the money is fantastic. I loved them because:
1) No fees except to bouncer. I paid him a set fee and some of my tips. The rest is for me.
2) I get paid when I come in the door, and leave within the set time (unless the money is flowing).
3) The parties later on didn't affect a daytime job. I could do them on weekends and make more than my daytime job.
4) The guys know upfront there is no touching and no extras.
5) No competiting with others. Even when I dance with others at shows we all make money.
6) I can do the show I want including costumes and music.
7) No rejection because even if a guy's not interested others are. I often did private dances after the show if guys are interested and if no other show is booked for awhile.
8) If a guy tries to touch me, take a photo, the bouncer reminds him that's a no no (which is also another reason I get the money upfront).
9) The hours were usually earlier. I was usually home before I was at a club.
I started with a few agencies, then went on my own. I found many agencies stnk and rip off dancers, so it was easier to do by myself. Plus, people got my info word of mouth. You'd be surprised how often I did a party for a guy who was just at a previous show.

I think all the pluses have already been covered that I was going to add, but YAY for pp girls! This thread has definitely psyched me up for working this weekend and a good attitude usually results in more bookings = more $$! Good luck this weekend girls, go out there and rock it! :D

another reason:
Men may not go to a strip club as much during a recession, but they DEFINITELY won't stop getting married...and those bachelor parties wouldn't be very lively without us beautiful naked ladies.
so, yay for PP's being slightly more recession-proof than club work!

What exactly happens at private parties? What are you paid to do?

Depends on the dancer. At the shows I did (and will be doing again this summer) I usually do a striptease, tease the bachelor (maybe tie him to his chair, for example), do whip cream shots (where I spray so much whipped cream they won't touch the nipple, and dance around the guys, giving attention based on tips. I might also then do a lingerie show (or instead of) where I raffle off prizes. Usually afterwards, I will do private dances (with bouncer watching). I never let guys touch me or used toys (and I understand many do toys, just not my thing). Some just want the dancing so I don't do anything else. I let guys knd of choose the parties they want. Some bachelors don't want any attention from me. Some parties just want the private dances and nothing else.

Get naked, dance, give the bachelor a two-girl lap dance, give everyone else one-girl lap dances. Humiliate the bachelor by whipping him with a belt, putting him on a dog collar and a leash, making him drink beer out of a dog bowl, etc. Do a girl-girl show which includes toys and a double-headed dildo. If guests want private dances, we'll offer those towards the end.
That's the basic format for my bachelor parties.

I completely agree. I've talked to quite a number of customers who were deciding on going to a stripclub for a bachelor party or just hiring dancers for the bachelor party. They always, always end up booking dancers instead of going to the strip club, because in the end the costs always end up cheaper. For one, they don't have to arrange transportation, like a limo, the drinks are cheaper because they can buy it at the grocery and everyone chips in by the end of the night. The food, they usually just do barbeque! ;)
