I am bulimic but I don't think she is. most bulimics are not that thin, that's usually a sign of anorexia.
then why go through all the vomiting ands self torture? i know its a disease but if the end result is seeking to be thin, then why do so many people do it?
i was drunk last night when i posted, i am a bit curveyer then most girls i think what makes me feel so fat is that when im trying on stripper dresses at work half the shit doesnt fit me...plus ive only ever shopped in juniors clothing and i wear a l to xl in tops now but i guess its mainly becuase of my boobs. i used to have a paris hilton style body, i think thats why i want to lose it so much.

Well of course you're going to be big in juniors clothing. You're not twelve forever. You have massive fake tits, of course tops are going to be a bit larger. It doesn't mean you're fat.

Because there is an emotional tie and relief to binge eating. Then feelings of guilt arise after the act hence why people begin to vomit; to get the "guilt" out of them. That's just one reason. Of course there are more.

That sounds like prefect weight to me!
Anyway, you shouldn't worry about that number - just measure yourself. That's a better way to keep things in perspective.

I quit eating land animals and I dropped 5lbs no problem, I don't really get bloated anymore either. I think the nasty hormones they feed the animals to make them fat make people fat.
I was on a 1500 calorie diet and I was starved, cranky and didn't drop much weight.
These days I live on mushroom and olive pizza, thai delivery, fast food and cereal . I'm thinner than I have ever been, I even eat right before bedtime, actually thats when I do most of my eating....its fucking bizarre but awesome. I've struggled with my weight my whole life, I gain around the middle too which fucks up that sexy woman shape. If only I gained it in my ass *sigh*

i think the not eating has really cought up with her face.
i read her diet was only fruits before 5 pm then a dinner of sashimi and veg.
thats a 0 fat probably 400 cal diet.
not healthy at all.

With bulimia, the purging can make you swollen, mainly your neck/face and eye's all puffy. Also When you binge on 6000 calories in a sitting and then try to purge it all out, most likely some of it has gotten past the point were you can throw it up be time you even get around to purging. Thats also assuming you get ALL the calories out...which can be really hard and not really worth it when it makes your eyes blood shot and your face swell.
People but themselves through pain and torture with laxatives and "detox" diets only to put all the weight back on when they drink a few glasses of water. I've seen many a fat/normal person be bulimic. I think most super thin bulimics actually have EDNOS, and work out a ton.

eating disorder not otherwise specified: so it means that you do a mixture of different ones, or laxative abuse, working out too much...basically anything that doesn't fit perfectly in the definition of anorexia or bulimia. I think most people are EDNOS, but I may be wrong.

That's good fat that your body needs and can happily digest.
The average body fat percentage of women is 20-30%. If you get below that, you can screw up your hormonal balance and have trouble getting pregnant. Also, you can be super skinny and have body fat way above 30% because you may not have any decent muscle. I've seen pictures of a girl that was skinny and OBESE because she had body fat percentage above 40%. It was pretty fucking scary to see. The woman looked so terrible!

It mostly an emotional/ control thing.
I was bulimic for a short period and my thing was for control, but also because I love to eat. When I would binge and purge, I hit two birds with one stone.

I agree. And I think in the U.S., it's hard to NOT get obsessed over food. I include emotional eaters and overeaters into the EDNOS category too. It's all disordered eating.
I've seen pictures of a girl that was skinny and OBESE because she had body fat percentage above 40%. It was pretty fucking scary to see. The woman looked so terrible!

I can see it being true somehow as I HAVE seen girls who are "skinny fat" - where they are thin but have tons of cellulite or no muscle tone.
I know that obesity is an abnormally high amount of body fat, but I always equated that to being overweight.

I remember reading that Victoria was having problems with the Spice Girls reunion because her strict diet (pretty much limited to frozen grapes and edamame) wasn't providing enough energy for the stage. That's scary. She used to be so pretty, now she looks like Skeletor. For pete's sake, she doesn't even have enough body fat to make her breast implants look decent. They look like puckery grapefruit halves.
Posh is a big thinspiration for pro-ana girls. That breaks my heart.

Having been pathorexic my entire remembered life, I was terrified to read this thread!!! I have been above 200 lbs and as small as 133 at 5'8" and with a large frame. I dropped 35 pounds in 2 months and looked like hell. I've interrupted my menstrual cycle and done untold damage to my immune system.
If you want to lose any weight, your best bet is to visit a personal trainer and nutritionist. Find out your current body composition and physical fitness level and your ideal levels. Stick to a disciplined but reasonable routine which these professionals will help you find.
1200 calories a day is unacceptable for a person your size. You WILL harm yourself sticking to that diet.

Just wanted to put in my 2 cents and say that while I very much enjoy a beautiful thin woman, she just looks bad to me. I would recommend striving for a different look.

That's scary stuff! I think a lot of girls I've worked with are skinny/fat. All bones and wobbly skin. I hope I carry all my fat on the outside!

It's not a logical disease. I used to abuse laxatives but don't anymore. It's not just about wanting to be thin.

reading that ibreathein's weight is considered "too thin" by some of you kind of upsets me. people are really quick to "decide" whats "too skinny" or "anorexic". not everyone who's thin has an eating disorder (and im not saying VB doesn't, just in general).
i'm 5ft6 (same height as ibreathein) and i'm 120-125 (depending on the time of day/if i just ate/just worked/etc)
i've ALWAYS been skinny. i eat like crazy. i have a tiny tiny frame (like, my wrist is literally 5.5 inches in diameter).
different people have different bone structure and the same weight can look -very- different on one person to the next. knowing the weight number means squat unless it's severely one direction or the other.
what would look "fat" on my might look "too skinny" on a girl with the same height as me who has a different frame/body type.
just sayin.
i know i'm touchy about it, but i was teased RELENTLESSLY in school for being so thin. i even had teachers try to do "interventions" and such.

MAKE SURE your height is accurate. i thought i was 5ft8 for YEARS until i started noticing that other people who claimed to be the same height were taller than me.
so i finally re-measured myself (and was measured at a doctors office as well) and it turns out i'm right at 5ft6.
^^ hehe.
I thought I was 5'4 forever. That was till I was "forced" to measure myself and the truth came out.
I am 5'2.

um no, i cant starve myself or make myself throw up. ive tried, it doesnt work. i dont have the wilpower for that and im greatful.
and Pretty penny, im not too thin trust me i wear between a size 5-8 jeans, depending on size. i dont know how anyone could construe that as too thin...
i didnt know VB had an eating disorder and i do not want one. i dont think eating 1200 calories a day is low i have done that for years. thats not counting beverage calories...
i just think shes pretty and thats really all i didnt want this to become an omgzzz IBE has an eating disorder thread becuase i really dont think that i do.
employees of chipotle and wendys can attest to that for me haa.

^^^^ I don't think people are supposed to be counting calories IMO. I know that on 1000 k a day I require things like coffee in my life. That shows me i'm not putting enough calories in me. When I eat well where I feel balanced physically and mentally, i'm good. I'll guess that's around 2k cals/day. I expend a lot of energy a day.

I usually eat between 1,000-1,200 calories per day but I don't usually count.. or care. I'm 5'6 and 110lbs so it's enough for me. VB is gorgeous, but I read that she only allows herself to eat 900 calories per day and she doesn't smile because she doesn't like her smile.. same reason I don't smile very often.

I don't think i breath in is too skinny, or needs to eat more, she said that it did NOT count beverage calories. I think she looks great, but if she wants to lose some weight for herself (just not too much) then fine. I think women can look great at a lot different sizes from skinny to really thick or curvy. Some pull it off better than others. I would like to lose some weight myself, but I hardly *NEED* to, I am 5'8" 135. I would like to lose 5-7lbs. I am very into the thin barbie fake boobie look, but that doesn't mean I think women who don't fit the mold are not hot. I like skinny chicks, but I honestly don't like Victoria B. Her boobs really don't look that large ( they look horrible to me and I like boobies that look *fake*, mine are D's and were A's) she's just so skinny they look big. I find her repulsive, both facially and bodywise. I think paris hilton's body looks good though. I like Pam anderson's body when she was thin but yet toned. You can usually tell the difference between those who made themselves that way and those who are naturally that way. VB is just a skeleton to me. Not womanly and NOT hot at all IMO. VB is just ew fuckin ew. You can be thin with low body fat, but there is line, just as a big ass is hot up to a certain point.

Lysondra if i ate calories in the 2000 range, id be over 140 lbs easy and would not be able to dance, i would be much bigger then i am. and as stated before i eat around 1200 a day, that does not factor in the beverages i have. i drink on average 2-3 sodas a day, and have a couple of coctails at work most nights.
FWIW i looked up the hight and weight charts and bmi indexes on several sites and all of them say i am in the higher end range of "normal" thankyouverymuch.
i dont expect nor want to weigh as much as her. i want to lose 10 lbs ideally, but 8 would be fine.

I just wanted to add in on this thread because I am perplexed by my metabolism at the moment.
I turn 28 this year and for the past, I don't know, 9 months or so, I never get hungry. For awhile there I just ate when I wanted to because I love food so much, but I started gaining weight.
Now, I just eat when my stomach growls (once a day). It's weird going through a whole day with one meal and maybe a handful of strawberries. It doesn't seem natural, but I haven't lost much weight at all and I feel good. Hell, at least I'll save money on groceries, I guess.

If you want to lose weight, eat 1500 cals a day and focus on weight exercises. Hard ones, not "lolz i have 5-lb dumbbells"
You look fine so far, so you'd see an improvement really quick

No it's not! You were a pro weightlifter so that would probably be starving for you, but for normal chicks starving is 1/2 or less of the daily needed calories, and that is typically between 1800 and 2100
it's almost starving though :D

I'm 5'10'' and last time I checked 133 lbs. No one would ever tell me I was TOO skinny, ahahah.
I eat around 1000 cals a day, if I just eat when I'm hungry. If I have snack food laying around I'll eat like 5000. But If I just eat when I'm hungry its about 1000 cals. and I only drink water. Recently I've actually been putting on pounds.
If you don't work out a lot you don't need that much food.
