don't you love how judge mathis automatically stops listening when someone says something he doesn't want to hear? even if what they say is legitimate... he will dismiss the case.

Or how he'll total call out someone on some garbage the other person said, even if they're just bs-ing! Like, some guy will be like "oh she's a stalker who calls me all the time," & Mathis will be like "is this true ma'am?" & ol' girl will say something like, "well, we both called each other." & then mathis will be like, "you're a stalker psycho." Lol, funnnnny!

^^^ Yea. I remember one time one lady said something that made her case. And when she said it again hes all "Aha! You said something else earlier!" And Im thinking no she didnt, she said the same thing. And hes all "Youre a liar!" uhm, and she lost over that when she should have won... so I pushed rewind on my DVR and sure enough she said the same thing. Sucks.
If I ever had to go to court and could choose a tv show it would so be Judge Joe Brown.

'dont piss on my leg and tell me its raining' a favorite judge judy quote of mine

Mmm, yeah. I'd go to either Joe or probably Judge Milian from the People's Court, she always seems genuine & straight to the point. Although she does use some of her corny lines, over & over. Lol..
I'd never do Judy, although she's my fave, but you have to make sure case is 100% solid, fool proof, you're 100% in the right or she'll tear you to pieces. Scary.
& Kalliegirl, I think that's the name of one of her books... along with, "Beauty Fades, Dumb is Forever." Lol...

What state are you in? 4 grand would more than likely mean small claims court, and you could do it in your state.
EDIT: For a small claims case, you do not need a lawyer, just the evidence.

I don't think it's been said, but if YOUR income isn't 100% legit they aren't going to bother dealing with illegal money.
I wouldn't bother going to court over 4 grand. If you're not 100% perfect on you're taxes you could set yourself up for an audit which could be much more devastating than 4 grand.
Lying in court isn't really my thing, so I wouldn't consider it. If your ex or his sister (especially if she really is clean) will say that your income is fraudulent so the court doesn't waste time redistributing fraudulent money that their government appointed paycheck will never benefit from. Even if you ratted out them on whatever illegal stuff their doing, your case will be thrown out and you'll both be on a red flag for the IRS....then if they're dangerous you outed them and they'll be pissed....seriously 4k isn't the price for consuming my life with unneeded stress.

I say try Judge Mathes or another show like that. I think they pay you just to be on the show whether you win or lose.
