Being a know-it-all only gets you out of being the butt of the joke if you're right.
I never get out of being the butt of any joke. You know that, right? ;D
My point was about the color copper -- the kettle in the pic is copper-colored, not black -- both the pot and kettle need to be the color black for the joke to work.
Anyway, the most important line in my response to CP was that I KNEW I was going to get killed for putting that post up there. And so I have. :)
Can we please switch this back to the harem outfit discussion? It's vastly more interesting......

On review of the picture, it appears that the kettle *is* black, red-black. The pot is blue-black. So yep, they are both still black.

^ "Red-black?" It's pretty clearly copper-colored. It's nothing close to black. Unless I've gone color-blind or crazy. Both are possibilities.
Anyway, can we PLEASE change the subject to the harem outfit? Maybe I should post a pic of something nice that would match the color of DR's kettle.....

CP: That last post is funny as hell!!! -worships your wit-
TOO: I looked at the picture again. They're both black. I mean, the kettle looks like a slightly different shade, maybe a matte, but still black.

"Different Shade of Black." Great name for a band.
OK, I'll bite. Besides, I think CP so knocked this last one out of the park that it overshadows the last one. :)

Studies are being done to see if women have more color receptors than men, hence why TOO can't see the subtle nuances in the different shades of black.
http://www.psycport.com/stories/ascribe_2004_07_14_eng-ascribe_eng-ascribe_014026_988726893508805748.xml.html
The chromosomal difference between women and men is the key to why variation of the OPN1LW gene may have different results in women and men. Women have two X-chromosomes; men have only one X-chromosome and one Y-chromosome. Because this color vision gene resides on the X-chromosome, rare detrimental changes at this gene cause color-blindness in males, whereas females are likely to have at least one good copy of the gene.
However, Verrelli and Tishkoff show that color vision changes can be beneficial too. Because females can have two different versions of this gene, but men can have only one, females may be able to perceive a broader spectrum of colors in the red/orange range. "Men and women may be literally seeing the world differently," Tishkoff said.
