Well, like you said. There it was! I wish they would have showed the whole routine because I was more confident with my performance there, than I was with my performance in Vegas.
Can you tell how much fun I had? The crowd was amazing, I got a standing ovation! They were chanting Vegas before I even finished! I got NO X's and 2 yeses for Vegas. Piers (of course) said America wasn't ready for me. David said I looked like a ballerina and a gymnast. Sharon said that it was art. It was the most amazing experience, I wish you would have seen it all!
Yes, Sharon did say that about my legs. Yes Flambaux (sp?) was AWESOME! He was the most intersting and cool person to talk to.
OK, I can talk about it now. Let the questions flow!

Wow, yeah that's me in the outfit that no one got to see me in for my Vegas performance.:'( That picture also made it into the July 25th issue of Entertainment Weekly! If anyone else out there has seen this pic or any other in the media, please let me know. I am trying to keep up with it all, but I don't know where to look since the show won't tell me anything.
I actually can't believe they are distributing my pics to the media because they apparently didn't like me being on the show according to the amount of airtime I got!
Here's a final update:
There were over 1 million submissions to AGT and only a few hundred made it in front of the judges. At least 3 of those acts were pole dancers. You saw two- me and Gravity Plays Favorites. I was the only one who went through to Vegas along with 112 other acts.
We were in Vegas for 6 days. The 1st day they did some random shooting. The 2nd day they did that first group cut which immediately brought the acts down to about 95.
The 3rd day we did our performances. I got grouped with the acrobats- or as our group was titled "Variety Specialty". Unfortunately we were always at the end of each day- whether performing or to find out our fate. What they didn't think about is that acrobats need time to warm up and time to rest. On the day of our performances, we had a 9am call time. You all being strippers, I am sure that you understand that means I am waking NO LATER than 7am to beautify myself for camera. I ended up performing at 11pm that night. UGH, that sucked. I can perform at 11 pm ANY night of the week, but not after sitting around doing interviews and WAITING and more WAITING and the "ok, your up (so we warm up)....oh, no wait the crew has to go to dinner"?! After them getting footage of me warming up 3 times during the day, wondering when I should eat so that I am not full when I hang upside down by my toe nails...and 14 hours later, I get my stage time. We only get 90 seconds to perform which makes me feel like I have to rush to get through my best moves. So nothing looks like it would in my normal shows anyway, but it worked the first time around, so I had a positive outlook. Needless to say, non of the acrobats were happy with their performances and I am kinda glad they didn't show my whole routine. Although it would have been nice to see some snippets!!!
Day 4- we go through cuts within our genre. My group constisted of a guy called Fast Wally (who didn't get ANY airtime at all), Duo Genesis (who I thought were an AMAZING hand balancing act) and the Zooperstars (those guys in the blow up suits). Me and Zooperstars made it through. SO, I had made it to the top 60! I was floating on air! I couldn't believe I had made it through two cuts in Vegas! Just to give you an example, they cut Victoria Jacoby (the cute little contortionist) and a contortionist guy that was IN Zumanity, BUT NOT ME! I honestly thought I would arrive in Vegas and they would say "sorry, we can't have your kind here" and turn me right around. I treated every moment like it was my last. I know they did a background check on me, but no one said anything about my "Nakita Kash" antics. I was wondering how long it would take them to treat me like a porn star. I can honestly say that I felt like I belonged to a group of truly talented people. Those that were the kindest and most memorable were the following:
Dorea Saunders-Tina Turner (we auditioned in Dallas right after one another so we became friends then)
Duo Genesis- (more Dallas friends)
Daniel Jens- military singer (His wife was really sweet)
Russian Bar Trio-(told me to try out for Zumanity which I thought was a huge compliment coming from pro acrobats!)
Cassie- Miss Pussy Kat (was one of the first ppl to say hi)
Derrick Barry- (Brittany Spears)
Victoria Jacoby- contortionist (her parents saw me rehearsing and ran up to me to tell me that they thought I was great. They had an 11yo that they could of dragged away from me but instead they watched and said they admired my art. That meant a lot to me since I have an 11 yo sister. Plus Victoria was just a really cool kid!)
DC Cowboys- I nicknamed them the shirtless cowboys}:D
Sick Step- truly the most talented guys and so sweet too
Neil E Boyd- I nicknamed him the teddy bear. Everytime I looked at that guy he had tears in his eyes or streaming down his face. I got choked up every time I looked at him.
George the Giant and his wife-We started hanging out because they declared me part of the "freak" group. George's wife wore a dress that had plenty of material and she let me hide under it whenever they made me wear my skimpy costume for hours in the vegas air conditioning. They sent me an email after Vegas asking if I had thawed out yet. Such sweet people!
Dan the sword swallower- just a really nice person
Matthew the impersonator- He took me to the casino to watch him win money. He won $500 on a 15 minute shooting break!
I know I am forgetting other people that were really nice to me, but you get the picture.
Day 5- Day of DOOM! We all started this day knowing that 20 acts (1/3) of us were going home. I was hopeful. I had never felt more part of a group then I felt with all those talented people. They took us in front of the judges individually. Of course, just like all the other days..I was one of the last to go in. Since I got to see each act come out happy or sad I knew my chances were getting less and less of making it through. ALL the acts were very supportive and everyone that I spoke with said that I would make it and they had confidence in me. They were wrong. I honestly was the VERY last person they said no to. There were only 3 acts behind me in line to go in front of the judges and I watched all three of them jump and scream for joy when they were passed through. So, I can actually say that (even though it wasn't edited this way) I was # 41. Sharon was the one who delivered the news and her reason was that my act was limited. I told her she was wrong (which they showed on a preview but didn't air it in the episode).
Day 6- I go home broken hearted and empty handed. It truly felt awesome to be treated like a talented individual and I will never forget that feeling. There are a few reasons that we think they cut me:
1) Because I am Nakita Kash and have a past
2) Because they think that America truly wasn't ready for a pole dancer
3) My family refused to sign their paperwork because it practically signed ALL of their human rights away and being responsible parents, they just couldn't bring themselves to do it.
Maybe next year a pole dancer with a cleaner past than me will audition and she will make it farther than I. Thank you again for all your support. It was wonderful being the pole dancing ambassador for America - even though it was cut too short IMO.:-*

I can't believe at this day and age America hasn't accepted pole dancing. It IS a SPORT! An artistic one at that! Just the other night, I dreamt that it was part of the Olympics. Only Gymnasts were competing. I got my inspiration from Cirques du Soleil. I'll bet it'll be widely accepted in Europe before it becomes more acceptable in America.

Thanks to amazing performers like Nakita, we're getting there. :) I think it needs to be around longer as a mainstream thing and become more lucrative before becoming an olympics sport... after all, this is the first year of BMX Racing in the Olympics!
We can all hobble over to Las Vegas for the olympics in 2040. :D

Anyone wanna tell me what "time" it is on the clip? :-\
I watched the clips posted in the OP several times (and had to sit through the commercials each time), and didn't see anyone doing anything on a pole or anything......how did I miss it? Or is it just a fast shot of someone's face?
