Anyone ever taken a payday loan to go to the SC?

Or spent the food money and made up for it by eating ramen all week?

Or something similar, went to the SC when you really COULDN'T afford it, because you NEEDED it?

A guy who would do this has got his priorities seriously mixed up.

I've spent money I shouldn't have.. money best spent elsewhere.. like paying down debt. Buuuuut I've never taken a payday loan to feed the monkey. And if that ever happened, that'd be the day I stopped going altogether.. because that's when it changes from "hobby" or "pasttime" into a "Problem"

Well, any guy who does this thinks he needs the money then, he'll REALLY need it once he needs to pay the loan back! ;)

No. As stated previously, this is an indication of a significant problem.

So true! I once was gonna give a guy a VIP.While we walked back towards the back he's like, "man CK, you're so hot I can't believe I'm gonna spend my rent money on you. I don't know how I"m gonna pay it all, but I don't care" I was shocked...call me crazy but I refused to dance for him.

Another girl overheard and I was chastised. Oh well..I'm not the type to take advantage of anyone. On the good side, he came back a few weeks later when he actually had money to spend, and spent it on me.

Anyone ever taken a payday loan to go to the SC?<snip>LOL...no, but i've met strippers who thought i was a payday office. anyway, that's retarded. why would anyone do such a thing considering the glut of cheap alternatives these days.

Nada

In fact, I think people who take out payday loans for anything (except those actual short term money crunch circumstances where they have no other option) should be barred from any vice expenditures for an entire year.

No. I have never NEEDED it. Just because I like steak doesn't mean I NEED to go to a steakhouse every night. Guys spending their rent money and money allocated to other bills on unnecessary luxuries they cannot afford are probably the same guys who are time wasters and always accusing the girls of ripping them off.

I know this guy who was out of work. He took out a payday loan to pay some bills and cover some expenses. Thought he'd pay it back when he got a job. But he didn't get a job as quick as he thought. So he took out another payday loan to pay off the first one. Etc., etc. Eventually he couldn't get any more loans from any of them and then they all began defaulting. Now he finally has a job and various of his creditors are getting judgments against him and attaching his wages. He's probably going to end up taking out bankruptcy.

Moral of the story: if you need a payday loan, you'd be better off to not take it out.

Truth time: When I retired and was waiting for my retirement to start (about two months), I did take one of these out because they sent me an ad that said no interest at all if I paid it off in two weeks. When I went in in two weeks and paid it off, they were shocked and didn't quite know what to do. Evidently hardly anyone pays these things off on time.

Anyone whose done anything like that desperately needs to stop going to strip-clubs. At least for awhile.

I wouldn't call you crazy. I'd call you ethical.

If I were a dancer and I wasn't having a dire problem putting food on the table and a roof over my head I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror if I knewinly took someone's rent money.

There you go. Call it whatever you like. Karma, for lack of a better term. You put good stuff out there it tends to come back. Same for the other way around.

It's the just how "The Golden Rule" works. :)

Pay it forward and wishing well...

Truth time: These incredibly high interest loans that would have been criminal usury only a few years ago but under the current administration have become legal [one ad on TV I saw had 177% APR interest in the fine print] are designed to be of interest to uneducated, un-business savvy, lower income people who can't afford them in the first place.

Quite frankly, the folks who offer them ought to go to jail like any other loan shark.

I sold blood for a SC trip. You got 20 bucks a pint. At the SC I prefer to frequent, LDs go for 20 bucks a pop. Last time I sold blood, I managed enough for 5 LDs.

I was light-headed but wooo! What a rush!

They shoulda called that one a jobsomeday loan.

They will give a loan to anyone. Eventually they will get it and 400% in interest after they go to small claims court.

B and I got behind late last year and were doing $500 direct deposit advances every 2 weeks for like 4 months. $10/$100 = $100/month in fees for it. Im glad everything got taken care of. It was horrible.

This is disturbing/:O . I also had a regular whou would buy 2-3 hours a week (about 900-1200 each time), and after 2 1/2 consistant months of this he texts me "if i keep seeing you they are gonna foreclose on me". Seriously, he hadn't been paying his mortgage! I thought he was kidding, but nope, I deleted his number and have only seen him a few times since.
