I'm pretty sure that one of the dogs I used to have (until fucking pice of shitI hope he dies screaming ex stole them) was half wolf.
They were popular in the area at the time and she showed a lot of typical characteristics(including taking FOREVER to train) of being a wolf-husky hybrid
I didnt realize that at first though...I just wanted to get her out of the backyard where she was chained by neck with moldy food and no shelter as a baby puppy!
She turned out to be very sweet though. Took a little more to handle her...more discipline, more patience..more everything. But I loved her anyway.

i love the hedgehog!! how cute!! how big is he? what does he eat?
He fits in my cupped palms, about the size of a kitten. He eats dry catfood, and really enjoys cooked chicken or turkey. Hedgies are omnivores, but Spike doesn't enjoy his fruits and veggies--he prefers to eat just meat. When he is out in the garden, he likes to chew on leaves or roots. More pics:

^^^^^^^Old peices of rabbit fur from a pair of moccasins I had. I lined his little sleeping nest with it, and put a patch on the floor where he likes to run and hide when he is running around the house.

Sorry babe, they're illegal to own at all here.
Sadly, a lot of Australian native animals make terrible pets. Can't have a wallaby in an apartment and don't have the trees for a koala, yannow?
Thats why I collect the birds.

I've kept a few native reptiles, I love reptiles!!
Possums are very cute too but I've never kept one.
I just watched another vid on that link this one was hamsters. They look like mice without tails? Are they similar to keep like a mouse or rat? We dont have them here either.

i'm surprised you don't have hamsters in aus. i understand they're all concerned about invasive animals and all but hamsters?
you guys in aus probably have crickets that can beat the hell out of a hamster.
...y'know? actually, you guys probably do. :O
meh, they're real easy to care for. my daughter currently has the oldest living hamster in captivity. >.< the lil' fat fugger's probably going on 20-months or something.
but they love to escape though. lil' fugger heads right for my bedroom and craps little black hamster nuggets under/behind my bed. >:(

I had a hamster live three years. It ate chocolate and jolly ranchers and ended up being buried in a box meant for ten school scissors. She barely fit.

I can't believe Squeaker lived so long... all my friends fed her their school snacks.. :/same here with this guy. we actually had two at one point. then someone fed the first one a piece of pizza crust and he died within two days after that.
...i didn't know it was gonna diiie?! it was just pizza! i mean, i just ate most of it and...he liked it.
this 2nd one's gotta be part-rat or something. nothing seems to faze him. but i've been a good daddy. i've kept it to veggies and leftover fruits.
i'm gonna re-test the pizza theory this weekend. }:D

Nothing terribly unusual but I have a ferret:
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b99/iambonbon05/piru.jpg
She is mostly loose in my bedroom and likes to sleep in my undies drawer. I can hear her crashing around right now, better let her out lol.
In the past my family has had bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs; and also goats, sheep, and horses although I wouldn't really call those pets.
My roommates have a turtle, a rabbit, and a rat.
My grandpa had skunks.

my ferret has stolen and played with more panties and bras then i care to name, its an obsession. whatever you do dont loop your bra over a closet door handle the bra will be destroyed lol.

My dog's actually the one with an underwear obsession lol. She likes to make nests.
My ferret is actually pretty well behaved. I did make the mistake of leaving some toilet paper in my room, which was shredded and spread EVERYWHERE. Other than that she likes to harass the roommates' rabbit and that's about it.

I used to work in a reptile store. The bearded dragons were my favorite! When one starts doing something, they all do, so it looks like they're having a crazy dance party-some are bobbing the heads, some are waving, some get on their side and wave, some lay on their backs and wiggle and some run circles around the ones who are laying down.
And fancygirl, if you're still reading this thread, you can get a Tokay Gecko and let it loose in your house and it will eat bugs. They're very cute too.

Letting them loose to eat bugs may not be a good idea. The bugs may have come in contact with pesticides from your home or outside, maybe even the neighbor house. You don’t want your lizard eating them.
You can order roaches very affordably. Easy to keep and they are very nutritious.

Maria.

Snakebabe-you make a good point,I never thought of that. I don't know if the Tokays are just super indestructable or what, but we used to have them lose in the store, and I did it in my house and a lot of other people did, and they always lived a really long time and seemed to flourish.
BTW, snakebabe, you are GORGEOUS! If I was a stripclub patron, you would be my ATF.
