That's awesome that you all wub, wub, wubby HokeyBabble...visit him on blue and keep them out of Pink. >:(
Geez! Some people are so damn harsh. It's not like we are pleading for his return. We're just sharing our thoughts about our experiences with him just like those who had not so good ones are doing.
Besides I believe he left the stripper areas of pink on his own out of respect for the women who didn't appreciate him. No one made him go or banned him from here, at least not that I know of anyway.
Instead of bashing these guys maybe it's would be better to to consider how nice it would be if all the guys who get the go away vibe were as thoughtful and actually stopped posting where they weren't very welcome.

well.. he DOES remind me of a female poster. a lot. and i dont think said person got a very different reaction. but thats just my personal opinion.
well I've got his address so unless "she" lives in Ontario....

There's a particular female poster I can think of that got open arms for acting like that.
i dont know if it's the same one i'm thinking of, but if it is, i dont think anyone wanted her around any more than they wanted him. and for the same reason. theyre not strippers. theyre customers.
HockeyBobby and HighHeelLover are NOT the same person, I've spoken to them simutaniously in chat.
And please tell me why we're bashing good customers that hang out in CC?
well I've got his address so unless "she" lives in Ontario....
i never said they were the same person. ladyluck said that if a female acted the same way, she thought they would get a more positive reaction. i disagreed, by saying that i think a female poster is a LOT like him, and i don't think she GOT a positive reaction.

^^ I didn't mean to imply that you did. I'm just a bit suprised that some girls dislike the customers that really admire and respect us - and stay on the custy side of the forum.

I can appreciate your emphatic statement that "hb and HHL are NOT the same person". The problem is that I recognize hb and HHL are different people, and I have actually communicated with each directly before in this very same Lounge.
My question was regarding b244's observation that hb:
"...DOES remind me of a female poster. a lot. and i dont think said person got a very different reaction. but thats just my personal opinion."
I didn't mean to imply that you did. I'm just a bit suprised that some girls dislike the customers that really admire and respect us - and stay on the custy side of the forum.
btw, Perry, some of my best friends are custies. Wait, wtf, I myself am a custy! :O
If I may offer an analogy, sunshine can actually be healthy in moderate amounts and some people tan quite nicely. OTOH, if one is exposed to the sun's rays for extended periods of time, one may become uncomfortable, irritated... even burned. ;)

The only thing that bugged me was his post-whorishness. HHL didn't seem to over post in the areas I read, so she didn't bother me at all, plus she is female and therefore could contribute to many of the body business and related threads.
Oh, and it had nothing to do with him being a guy, I don't like the female dancer post-whores either.
***Most of you, please don't take offense at the post-whore comment. I don't mean people who post even 20-30 times a day. There were times when it seemed like EVERY post I read came from one of a group of about 5-10 people. That was really fucking annoying.

The person I'm thinking of is long gone and was a stripper. Ages ago.

it's in the goodbye viola strings thread which was probably deleted.
It references the porn star thread. some stuff in there was cleaned out but I think a lot still remains so you get the gist of it.

^^Probably because the originating post was erased. It was from the "porn" thread that is still going on. My god, you guys are just looking for something to get worked up about.
HB is a sensible man who saw both the legitimate points made, and the less legitimate personal attacks that indicated he was less welcome than he thought, and instead participated somewhere that he was welcome. If every person here was so reasonable and sensitive instead of all "i shall stay here until I'm banned" we'd all be in much better shape. There is certainly no need for residual irritation with someone who was all "I see your point and I will do what you want."
However - I will suggest that minimizing or dismissing legitimate concerns about non-dancer (and yes, male) over participation on certain parts of the board as "man hating" or "peenerphobia" is sort of on par with the rest of us saying that all you male advocates are just desperately seeking male approval. As in, it has the same degree of truth, does not address your concerns and is really just a veiled insult and is not really a part of any useful conversation on the topic.

I'm not looking for something to get worked up about! I've been continuously pissed beyond belief for about 4 fucking years over the LR shit. I just continue to come here because apparently my addiction is stronger than my pissiness. At least it has been after the first year or so of avoiding the place.
As for the HB thing. I really think I'm pretty middle of the road about the guys here. I've always been a more laid-back "C'est la vie", type.

I'm not looking for something to get worked up about! I've been continuously pissed beyond belief for about 4 fucking years over the LR shit. I've noticed. You seem to bring it up whenever anything related to the management of the site is mentioned, no matter how unrelated or external it might be. You might consider that if you've invested 4 years in being angry about and focused on something so minor that you've invested far too much.
Just my advice.

Hey, 4 years is nothing. I'm a Scorpio. I can stay pissed until the end of time. I wouldn't say I'm focused on it, I don't generally even think about it. However, if something reminds me, I suddenly feel like my head is gonna explode and I want to kill something. Normal stuff for my temperment.
Besides, it's just wrong to treat more than half the people who contribute and try to help others here as if they are 2nd class. I don't want to get over something like that. I would be a horrible person if I could overlook something like that. I am not the only one who is being looked down upon in a sense.

Because they are from deleted threads. When a thread is deleted the quote in a siggy stays but the link is disabled.
Jasmine, why do you want to be angry most of your life over something on the internet? I mean its not like being angry over civil rights IRL or the right to marry whom ever you want. If the internet died tomorrow it would suck and I would have to use the Yellow Book again.

Ah, I would have figured that out if it said the link was disabled. It actually says I don't have permission to access the thread.

That is also because the mod of that section where the thread was deleted can only see that deleted thread.

You're right -- he's not banned in any way. And his departure was "voluntary," if you want to call it that.
The event that caused his departure was a post where an individual took a baseball bat and deliberately smacked him right in the head with the full force of fury. From what I could tell, she pretty much swung it as hard as she could. (I would post a link to that attack post, but it was long ago deleted.)
The irony is that this post was in his Person of the Week thread. You know, the thread where you are invited to participate and then tend to let down your guard and perhaps confess to more things than you might elsewhere on the board. And yes, on Member Boards, so not in an area where he didn't belong.
At the time, I thought it was an exceptionally cruel thing to do, considering the guy never had a cross word for anybody.
The instant it posted, he deleted all his replies in his POTW thread and vanished. He hasn't posted on pink since.
Irrespective of what you may have thought about the guy, it was harsh, obnoxious and disrespectful to the extreme. I'm sorry, but there is no other read of this situation with mature adults. Not SW at its finest.

I saw it but forgot who the purpetrator was... I do that. I forget I'm mad at what someone said from on thread to the next because I don't pay attention to who said what, just that it was said... but it was BRUTAL. Something like, "Why are you nothing but a kissup jackass?" and various qs.
Why can't I check out Budai's i.breathe.in siggy quote? Is this another mother fucking locker room thing?

Yes, it was inappropriate. HB doesn't feel the need to hold grudges and bring it up and complain and relive the incident so I don't know why we would on his behalf. Like "Hey. Remember all these mean things someone said to you? That must have made you feel pretty bad, huh? That just sucked. And, oh my god, do you remember this insult? That was just terrible. I bet you really felt bad about that."

I thought it important to clarify what happened the day he disappeared from pink, since that's the subject of this thread, that's all.
I think a short post explaining that is appropriate. Evidently, several people were not aware of it, and they are now, so that pretty much closes the loop.
Case closed. :)

Personally, I think a short post saying "No, he's not gone, he's posting in blue now" is appropriate rather than digging up past drama since that was the subject of the thread.
But as you said, case is closed, and now everyone knows where to find him.

Yeup. HB and HHL have been discussed to death in this thread and have been nice enough to not stir the pot. Let this drama lay to rest now.
