Gem. It was this wierd little place where all the strippers were named after rocks and the owners thought it was a good idea to hire underaged girls. All the good rock names were taken, and there was already a Jewel. So I picked Gem.

Hindsights 20/20.

Its funny to see everyones newb names.
I was Nina. The manager named me. Awful awful name. Didn't fit at all

Awww....I danced by Nina for awhile, and I really liked it. It wasn't my first name, rather of my many "n" names...I always seemed to have a thing for names that started with the letter "n". Nicki was my first, and then Nicole for years...I still turn my head if someone calls out Nicole in public.

Haha, this is a good thread because everybody changes it at sometime, right?

Well, my name is Nichole but in high school everyone called me Nicci (yes, pronounced Nikki- but I had to be different :-*). Anyway, I started dancing while still in high school so I thought Nicci would work. Well, there was already a Nikki at the club so I had to come up with something else. My first day I chose to wear a flashy bikini with gold beading. It kind of looked like I belonged in the sunshine so I called myself "Sunny". My entire first shift went by with people calling out my name and I NEVER answered to them! I couldn't get the hang of people calling me something so different.

Anyway, I brainstormed for a week to try to come up with something that was a bit closer to my name and Nikita just popped out. Well the DJ was a jolly, funk loving, ham of a guy who I LOVED! For those of us that he enjoyed working with he would come up with some interesting way of announcing us. Kind of like "NORM!" in Cheers. Anyway, overtime he fell into a niche of saying "ladies and gentlemen....Naaaaaaaaaaaaaakiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit aaaaaa" So, this is how my name changed from Nikita to Nakita. When I started featuring, I had to once again brainstorm for a last name. I spent another week just trying things out and cash just came out of my mouth and sounded good. Of course, because it looked so much better on paper...I changed it to Kash so it flowed....NAKITA KASH.;D

BTW, if you have ever met me. You would get how "Sunny" just really doesn't fit me!!! lol

I got mine from my DJ friend. He said I was the epitome of the name. It's Isis and I considered it a great compliment so I still use it. Here is the wiki on it:

Isis is a goddess in Ancient Egyptian mythology and is celebrated as the ideal mother and wife, patron of nature and magic; friend of slaves, sinners, artisans, the downtrodden, as well as listening to the prayers of the wealthy, the maiden, the aristocrat and emperor

Jezzabelle. Ditched it after one song; it didn't fit. Then it was Adrienne.

Jasmine was my first and I'm still Jasmine at my home club. Danced at another club for about a week and was Star there I like them both but have become accustomed to Jasmine

When I danced in Cali I always danced under the name Ava. A lot of people thought it was too old sounding for me so I figured when I started dancing here in Colorado I would try something different. Sometimes change is a good thing.

My first was Isabelle. I like it, I wish I could have it at my new club. The girl I started dancing with picked 'Cherry' as her first name because she wanted to dance to the song 'The Search for Cherry Red' by Jonathan Fire*eater. She got sick of that pretty quick.

mine was Lindsey. Didn't fit me at all, i couldn't rememer to answer to it when they'd call me on stage! My manager named me as well. it's so funny to read these and i think a lot of us were such newbs that we just let the managers pick one for us!
Since then I have been Starr, and then Skylar. Skylar is my fave.

The first time onstage, I used my real name, Ginelle. Since then I've been Ariana.

My first name was Charisma, my real name. I'd get "thats not your real name" so much I would carry my ID with the last name covered with tape. When I waited tables as a teen people would say is that your real name? I'd say no its my stage name so its only right that I used it.
I am good friends with Labron James's father and we went to dinner in Miami with a very famous football player who swore he knew me from porn because of my name! He was like if I googled you what would come up? I've never done porn and this was pre-dancing! Now I go with Dominica

I started in a teeny tiny town in pot central, and there was a younger girl (I started at 20) who I knew because she had dated one of my exes friends for awhile. She was the bartender (juice club) and ended up naming me. She had named herself "Glory" because she liked roses, and then she had a couple names she suggested and I was like, "okay, I'm going to be Dixie."

hokey and corny and you'd figure I'd get a lot of dick joke, but I didn't. I liked the Dixie chicks so that worked, and for a clueless girl in a betty page wig it was a better match then you'd think. I was like this pudgy little princess in knee boots and bustier that mashed down my already teeny boots. Granted, I'm still a pudgy pudgy princess but I'm not little or clueless.

Anyway, I had that name for a couple months-- moved and started doing parties and there was a girl in my area who already had that name so obviously I couldn't have the same name (which ended up being a good thing because she was a total cheap skank in terms of being a really cheap and indiscriminate prostitute.)

So now I make names according to songs I like. In five years I've had five names, but to be fair, two of those names I used for a couple of weeks each at two clubs I traveled to.

And that'd be Billie and Fancy :D

the two names that I use now both have last names. One I use when I do parties and fetish modeling is very hispanic, and the other is a very basic "that's my mother's/aunt's/grandma's" type name.

Oh that reminds me... when I came to America again for the first time I made my dance name Sheila, spoke in an Aussie accent and danced only to Kylie Minogue.

I ALWAYS got that when I told people my real name! I never carried around and ID, but I swear no one believed me! And oddly enough, I didn't have such a hassle getting people to believe my stage name.

I actually had to pull a thread from 5yrs ago to get my first dancer name. It was Essence. I can't remember why, or how I came up with it..but I like it. I think I may use it again.

Vanessa.

I changed my name to Trinity once. Only once. Everyone kept calling me "Trudy" except the DJ and Management. Now if there is another Vanessa (which I have come up against less than a handful of times), I tend to use Nessie, Ness, Nessa.

And yes my stripper name is my real name except for the last half of my stripper name - Stacy. That part is totally made up and I came up with it due to wanting a full stripper name to use as part of competitions when I entered them.

Even with such a normal name, people still don't believe it is my real name and that I use my real name. Yet I don't carry my ID around with me and if someone wants me to "prove" it, I tell them it comes with a charge of $200 in order to do so. The person usually drops the issue after that ;)

Haha you too? I laugh now, because that has to be one of the most popular stripper names out there. I wonder what THE most popular is? Lexi? Angel? Britney?

A reg. of mine calls me Fantasy. I kinda like it. I wouldn't use it, cause I like more "normal" sounding names, but I think it sounds good.

HAHAHA! JIM! That's hilarious, because I basically did the same thing.

Mine was Chynna, as in Chynna Phillips. About 5 times a night I had to hear "But you ain't Oriental...?"

I danced as Erin for about 4 shifts. Quit for a few months. Then I came back as Alexxa. When I started working nude, I became Lexi.
At one club I was Xiola (of Jane's Addiction fame), because there was already a Lexi. Then I switched back to Alexxa again.
I don't think I could respond to anything else but I'm sick of people always getting it wrong and calling me "Lexus", "Lexa", "Alexis" and so on. I don't even spend time correcting people anymore. I don't know what other name fits me though.

My first one was Nicole, then when i went to a club that already had a Nicole, I started using my middle name, which is very unusual (the name, not using a middle name, lol), and now i get a ton of compliments on my name, and don't have to worry about anyone else having my name. Despite the DJ and other girls telling me i shouldn't use it...so :-P to them, lol.
