I love it.
I have a tattoo there, on my left arm, and that one hurt the worst out of all of mine. :\
I want to see your zombie tattoos!

i still don't have a pic of it since the colouring was done, but it's like green and bluish.

Excuse an older guy who is really into the practical for asking this but, while I acknowledge that it is a very cute tatoo did you [any of you who do this] stop and think how you are going to feel about it when you are say 50 or so?
Just curious.
absolutely not. it was a rushed decision that i gave absolutely no thought to at all. ::)
but no, seriously. i don't care. like i actually just don't care. it's just an arm, and who cares what it looks like when i'm old. i live for the now. i don't regret things because what's the point? it means something to me now and it'll mean something to me then. even if the game doesn't exist any more in 50 years the tattoo will remind me of this point in my life where things are really good. tattoos are much more socially accepted these days, and it's nowhere near as much of an issue as it used to be.

I saw like 10 chicks with under butt tats today. I swear to god I never saw it before your photos and found it weird today. Like when did this happen?! lol I couldn't get a good look at theirs though. Obviously it would have been a little weird had I walked up and said "oh watcha got under there?" and poked at em' under their skirts.

I love it, Darcy!
In response to 'how will you feel when you're older'.. I asked one of my heavily tattooed friends that, before I had any tattoos, "aren't you worried they'll look ugly when you're older?" he replied with "*I'll* look ugly when I'm older". best answer ever.
Plus, the older people I've seen with tattoos look f*cking sweet to me.

Or better yet...who's going to want to look at us at 80...naked?! Where the fuck are we going at 80 that we have to cover our tats? Lets face it. At 80 we are all going to be shitting ourselves...mumbling about rainbows and when we were a "little girl" in some home while watching Price is right or something. No one that's wiping our buttholes when we are 80 are going to give a flying fuck that there are tattoos. In fact it might be something you can reflect back upon and smile about. About a time in your life when you were carefree..youthful and HAD your looks!
At 80 you are over all pretty fucking wrinkly. Shit at 50 most of us won't be taking our clothes off for earnings. So what we have will easily be covered up under our stuffy office clothing. If we haven't already be whisked away by some rich super hot dude that could give a shit less ;) . And like it's been pointed out...our generation and the one under me views tattoos as normality. It's not like the 70's, 80's and shit even in some of the 90's where it was associated with jails, skanky women etc.
It's different now. And the guys that are in the stripclubs throwing their money at us are generally too drunk to even form an opinion let alone be one we'd listen to. C'mon you are PAYING for someone to pay attention to you..while your wife sits at home eating cookies and changing diapers. I don't believe a strip club patron has any room to judge, talk or give us advice on what WE are doing to ourselves.
This is just a general rant :) and shit I don't even have any tattoos

OK, but understand that what OTHER people think about it wasn't what I was driving at.
What I was asking is did you give any consideration to the notion that a video game character isn't going to remotely mean as much to you 30 years from now as it does to you today, and at that time when it doesn't you might ponder why it ever did.
Nothing living remains static.
Anyway, it was just a question.
wishing well...

not trying to answer for her, but the video game charachter is also art. if she likes the way it looks, then thats all that matters. in 30 years most people will not know what it is othe then an interesting tattoo. people who get large tattoos have to adapt to the idea they dont care what other people think. i certainly have. though stares get on my nerves but i expect it to come with the territory. heavily tattoed women are the final taboo as far as body mods go i think. its a rare thing.

I'm not sure about that. I would think women who do far too much cosmetic surgery probably get more stares than heavily tatooed women.
Ever see the "Bride of Wildenstein"

Well she did want to look like a cat. ^ As far as it being taboo. There are far more women with plastic surgery be it botox ...lip injections..tit jobs ..tummy tucks etc and it's "accepted" and not seen as a "skanky" thing to do. It's almost seen as an elitest thing to do. It requires a lot of money (not that tats don't)

if i try and explain myself, you're not going to understand and i'm just going to get heated and angry because i'm sick of beating this dead horse to people who don't 'get' tattoos. i like it, that's all that matters.

Besides, if someone for some reason decides they don't want a tattoo 30-40-50 years from now, I figure the technology will be good enough that it takes very little time to remove, as compared to now.

bingo. 15 years ago there was no such thing as tattoo removal in any way, shape or form. these days you can remove them, yes it is expensive and painful and leaves scarring but it can be done. the way technology advances i figure in 20 years time if i decide i'm sick of my tattoos i'll probably be able to walk into a clinic and have them peeled off in a $100 half hour procedure.

There actually was a way to remove them... but it wasn't pretty. My mom had a tattoo on her shoulder removed in the 80's. Basically they cut it out of her arm. Now she has a huge red ex on her upper arm that she's still really self-conscious of. But yeah, just goes to show that technology gets better pretty fast.

I vote that this

be your new avatar!
it is small enough so that no one else will ever be able to really steal the design. the idea (as you noted) will be done by others... yet the design.. is safe.
Even if you 'play around' with the image so the design isn't as "sharp" in the image and thus further reducing the ability for people to steal it.. it's an awesome photo showing off an awesome tattoo!
ps I will take down the photo by tomorrow (thursday)
