I have read all of them (in the space of 5 days lol), including the partial release of Midnight Sun (which was supposed to be the next book but now will not be published at all) and I have to tell you, I haven't found such an enthralling, mesmerizing story since I found Anne Rice. I so adore these books that I was disapointed when I finished Breaking Dawn because there wasn't another to read after it. I'm actually slightly obsessed (kinda stupid bc Im too old for this but hey lol). ;D

i heard a lot of great reviews so its on my list (with 3 other books in front) i do love vampires, so i'm really looking forward to it... anyone read anita blake?
I love the Anita Blake series. They're fabulous, though I actually liked her Meredeth Gentry series better. They can get pretty hardcore though.

oh damn. what the hell i'll throw my two cents in. I can not for the life of me figure out why people like Twilight. The characters are childish, annoying, and the books move soooooo slooooooooooooowly. Crist. the whole time i was like "oh just fuck already!" i listened to the first two books on audio book because, well, it was all i had and i was desperate and i swear i don't know how i got threw them. If you want good vampire books for the love of god go read Anne Rice or something.
The Host was better (novel concept at least) though it also moved with the speed of an 80 year old grandma with a walker. ah well. (and this is coming from the girl who loves British books with lots of descriptive where nothing ever happens)
-Crimson (who is apparently crazy, as everyone else just loves these books)

I've read the whole series. One of the girls at work insisted that I read so I did. The movie sucked major anus though.

Twilight is everywhere. I changed my stage name because of it. I was "Bella" LONG before that book came out, but I could not handle the "OMG YOU LIKE TWILIGHT LOLZ" that came from going by Bella.
It's cute at face value. The books are an abomination to vampire lore, the characters have very drab personalities, the storyline is ... cliche to say the least. But like I said, they're kinda cute at face value.
Twilight and New Moon are pretty good. Eclipse is ... interesting. Her writing starts to go downhill. Breaking Dawn is HORRIBLE. BD was rushed, and poorly done.
The movie was more bearable. *nods* Those prattling paragraphs of how Edward was so dazzling got condensed into 10 seconds of file. Ahhh, relief. lol

^ thanks so much Mynxx. i feel exactly as you do (i also thought the movie was more bearable mostly because it didn't move so damn slow) i am happy i am not the only one! though. i guess i didn't think any of them were pretty good. ah well

Just saw this movie- thought I'd hate it, but it turned out to be not so bad...! Not something I'd want to own, but it was cute.

Also. we have a girl who goes by Bella in our club. I would be VERY surprised if she ever gets comments about it being the name of the girl in the book. why? because the costumers who come into our club are MEN. and non of them are the type to read that book. The fact that some clubs get people commenting on that is surprising to me.
Additionally, i go by the stage name "Crimson" and guys are constantly saying "oh crimson. as in Crimson Tide"? which is some manly movie i guess. wouldn't know, haven't seen it. and i am always like "eh no. as in the color red " and then i point at whatever read i happen to be wearing. *sigh* so i totally get your frustration Mynxx

I only saw the movie. It was cute. I thought it was exactly what its suppose to be... A movie for preteens ... Like Harry Potter.

People can't make the leap between Crimson and the color red? I mean, I liked the movie (and it's Alabama's college football team), but, that's like basic vocabulary...

I was really reluctant to sit down and watch that movie, but honestly it wasn't that bad! After a little :bong:... It was entertaining, but watching it once was enough.
