That's a great one. I probably wouldn't be scared of trying drugs if I never saw that movie.

i watched it for the second time a week ago, after not seeing it in almost three years. i think it's only really shocking the first time. some movies are like that.

i still think it's one of the best movies of all time though.

New York Minute (Now that's a REAL guilty pleasure. That's pretty damn bad.)

Striptease

Oh...and Bend it Like Beckham. Johnathan Rhys-Meyers= go-geous.

See, Labyrinth is my all time fave movie, but I don't list it as a Guilty Pleasure. I'm a proud perv when it comes to Bowie!

Speaking of guilty pleasures... Solarbabies is on! OMFG

Well, no offense, but are a lot of these "guilty pleasures"?

To me, at least, a guilty pleasure is where everyone else says, "That sux!" but deep inside, despite what the public says, you really enjoyed it.

Example: Labyrinth was a cool film (cross-reference: Ladies: David Bowie. Men: Jennifer Connelly. Kids: Muppets), but I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure. Too many people liked it.

Now, a real guilty pleasure would be "9-1/2 Weeks" (I hope I got the name right), where people say, yeah, it sucked, but you can say to yourself, "Maybe, but I wanked to it." (Disclaimer: I did not actually enjoy that one.)

I had to write this before it turned even more into a "odd movies that I enjoyed" or "my favorite movies" thread.

Clueless was on last night, I forgotten how much I love that movie.

Oh, and also, Steel Magnolias and Beaches. Both complete tear jerkers but sometime you just need a good cry.

I can't believe it hasn't been said yet: Steel Magnolias. Shirley McLaine's "Ouiser" and Olympia Dukakis' "Clairee" are two of my favorite movie characters ever.

Also, Point of Order: There is nothing guilty about The Princess Bride. That's just a good movie.

ETA: No way! You snuck in there while I was screwing about on another page.

Okay, I love every one of the movies that has been mentioned but my GUILTY pleasures, like the movies that I rent when my bf is out of town, or when I have pay-per-view in a hotel room are all of those dance off movies, like sophie-ashley said. Bring it On, Bring-it-on the streets. All of that. They are awful movies, but I love watching hip hop dancing. I can't say no.
